So, what will Mrs. Hill be playing?
I dropped a very brief intro, it is intended more for character introductions as there is nothing FORCING you together as of yet. From there, I will start the ACTUAL plot of the story.
For those that don't know: I have been playing (And GMing) Pathfinder for just shy of a year now, but I starting 3.XX the day it was released (before the retail release since my friends brought it back from GenCon). I have been playing DnD and the like since '93 and have worked around the industry (mostly on the FLGS level) though I did help develop a card game in the early '00s.
I am married and my wife is likely going to be joined your quartet, just not sure what she is playing as of now, so I wanted to make sure all bases are covered.
We are expecting our second child in the next couple of months, so I'm sure I will be slow to post after the second one arrives, but I doubt that it will ever stop me and while there may be times that I don't post for a day or two, usually you can count on me at least one or two every day, but often much, much more than that.
I do love RP and I do love giving RP related boons. I prefer to know what your mental picture is for your character and then I often try to give you things to spice it up, but fit in that mold you have.
This mod is VERY heavy on magic items, especially since you don't really get a lot of time to craft, so don't be surprised if it feels like a Monty Haul game not too far into. I'm fairly sure it is meant to.
I am in the process of going through each character and picking out some boon because the four had great backgrounds, so get to RPing and I'll get to booning!
Also, I am currently running a Skulls & Shackles game on the boards, as well, so you will see two links for combat maps, please use the one marked Dragon...(When we get around to combat).
Choon, I honestly have no idea. She is unconscious right now as we have had a horrible cold being flung through our house and she can't take anything for it due to her pregnancy.
Oh, almost forgot: I'm a restaurant manager...so my hours can be odd.

I'm Choon. I have been playing for about two years now, but have a good level of system mastery due to rules layer friends and a slightly addictive personality. I run two games on the boards here and one in real life.
Speaking of, I am an Sign Language interpreter so sometimes my hours go wonky and I miss a day as well, but I am a regular 1-2+ per day poster 99% of the time.

I'm Jelani. I am a student and an ESL teacher in China. I love gaming! I've been on the PBP boards since March of 2012. So basically two years now. In that time I've managed to rack up 13,529 posts between all my aliases. Which is somewhat embarrassing, but also tells you how much time I spend on PF :P I am currently running four games on the boards, and have two more in the recruitment stages. I play in another dozen or so.
I've been playing games in general since 1999 and the Alternity system. Switched to 3.0 when it came out, and then to PF shortly after 4th edition came out (if I'm remembering correctly). I can post multiple times most days. Hope to have a fun game with y'all.
Edit:Because I live in China I also live 13 hours in the future of the American east coast. So my posting times might also be weird (to some of you anyway).
Trig, we have South Australia in the group as well, so we aren't in the same areas by any means. Luckily my crazy schedule means that some days I'll be home during your evenings and other times not.

Name is TheStrongAngel, or you can call me Feora here. I answer to about anything, but never late for dinner. Living with family for now, working in construction and industrial supply in the middle of flyover country in Kansas City.
Been playing Pathfinder for a year now, with several years of 3.X experience behind it, did a stint in living greyhawk and a couple rounds in Living realms. Mostly play PFS now, but I really itch at times for more chances to play and really add RP to games. Interesting Fact: This is my first PbP game, so be gentle? Pwease?
I also might post more often because I am bored, and I do work at a computer at the office. Mostly daytime, so evenings and weekends will be much more frequent, but can sneak a post or two in during the day maybe.
Mr GM, Just a thought on the post about her talking about the accident. Most of the times I have seen oracles played, many times I have seen GMs utilize them as direct conduits at times of a particular patron's will. So at some points, I may make allusions to perhaps Feora having "blackouts" in her memory where she won't remember saying or doing things that actually happened. Like in this case, I'm making an allusion to an accident in the high Priest's chamber, most likely having to do with a fire she probably caused inadvertently. If you want to take it another way, or implement it another way I am fine with that. Just taking pointers and queues from previous GMs I have played with.
Oracles are certainly nice for being able to use them as a plot device for a GM and I MIGHT do such things, but I'm much more likely for you to get random flares of power and such in certain situations, but who knows how it will play out. I am certainly fine with you having it in your backstory and I may use it during this.
By the by, I have the three that have posted so far your boons, I'm about to send them in messages to you. Nothing crazy or major, but all is nice little perks.

Thank Muchly. I think mine really fits into Feora's character very well. I have some ideas for when you feel that it is appropriate to tweak her level of power, and though it might be a tad cheesy, I think it works for her.
Feora, look at my alias Jacen "Ash" and you'll see where your's came from ;)
That makes a lot of sense. I'm actually looking at Feora more as a melding of two different versions of herself. The curse's power and her mystery is one version, and her normal nature. And given an adventure in the near future, I really want to see if one might become more dominant, or perhaps the two halves fuse into a whole.
Where's the rest of us?

Alrighty! I've had a hectic couple of days, but I'm all done now! Made a second alias for this character, since he's in a different game at a different level with a different point-buy.
Horatio's likely to be the party face and knowledge-bot. Four languages, 10 skill points per level, not to mention all those juicy bardic bonusus! Throw in some high charisma and careful trait selection, and I think he's pretty well suited to a face role, if you don't mind my saying. (Though I do note we've got charisma out the wazoo here, so... go team!)

Out of character, my name's Veronica, and I'm curently unemployed. I've been playing tabletop games for just over a year now, currently GMing my second campaign - Kingmaker, because apparently I am crazy and ambitious. I'm unemployed, but volunteer at a primary school two days a week. That's Mondays and Wednesdays on South Australian time, and my home games are every Tuesday evening and every second Saturday afternoon, so if I'm unusually quiet, I'm likely busy.
Sorry for taking so long, and I'll scootch on over to the Gameplay thread now. Looking forward to this!

Ah, gotcha, just figured that out myself actually. Thanks. Kind of derped, but seems like Feora had about enough time to squeal before everythign was dead anyway. :P

So call me crazy, but between the iron chairs, Olivius failing his will save to sit, and him thinking about singing duets with Horatio..., was I the only one that got visions of Flashdance in my head? Olivius leaning back and having water splashed down all over his armor with Horatio playing the electric fiddle?

Well, in all fairness, I think Flashdance was in theaters before my spawning. That said, I still remember seeing it a lot, and my mom always loved the music from that and Dirty Dancing growing up. Was just the first visual image I got when I put together the visuals of that room.
EDIT: My favorite movie growing up though was Top Gun. Which I was told I loved so much I wore out the VHS twice, and it had to disappear once because apparently as a five year old, your not supposed to use certain choice Tom Cruise-isms at a family reunion. Who knew?

If this keeps up Olivius may have the Devilbound Template in his future. The funny thing is, I didn't even know Olivius had it in him, but when the situation arose I was surprised to feel that he did!
I think it is rather interesting. Though I will have to say, I don't know if Feora is going to pull her hair out first or have an aneurysm.
And in an out of character sense, its not like her spraying fire at it is going to help much. Now, spraying fire at Olivius... :P

ZOMG, fighter with spellscraft? oh noes! Just one small point, identifying a spell is actually 15+level. Not that it matters right now, healing is healing :P
edit: was just giving you crap Olivius. My PFS guys can't ever keep straight what the checks are when doing spellcraft and knowledge arcana, so i go out of my way to confuse them while we are playing just to pull their leg. we get a pretty good laugh out of it.
Curious Question:
Was doing a little rereading of some things, and planning out a couple of pathways for Feora based on what has been happening thus far. As I was reading, I came across something rather odd concerning the blackened curse. I did not realize that the -4 penalty to attack rolls in melee was with weapon attacks.
I wanted to ask: Do you put touch attacks from spell like abilites and such in with weapon attacks? Specifically the revelation that gives the melee touch attack for d6+1 per 2 levels? I've noticed that right now Feora isn't being able to contribute very much to the combats, save for a bless or heal or occasional covering of flames on bad guy. Wanted to know your take on it so that I knew if it was something to consider in how she might develop over the next couple of levels.
I do not, as it is not a weapon attack it is a touch attack.
So far Olives has been the only really effective one in combat. This is the life of a level 1 character, don't sweat it Feora.
Ya. Martials really shine for the first few levels. Don't worry. You'll catch up. I promise. There's a reason for Olivius being designed to protect the back line. :)
Still a good bit of dungeon left to go through! Then the fun begins!
Yeah, no sweat. Feora when I originally designed her she was intended to be someone that has a healers heart, but has a fire like temper. My little fire starter. *sniff sniff* They are so cute when they are young.
That said, I guess its mainly my holdover mindset from Pathfinder Society. I have characters that have wonderful themes, but aren't very combat effective (enchantress theurge of Calistria, Very much a secret agent feel to her). And then I have characters that are very combat effective that may not have the best stories (evoker theurge of Nethys, nuke everything from orbit type character). But often times if you get poked at by the table if you don't at least have some role to play in combat. I know things will even out over the next couple of levels, I am just worried that I'll come up short when the group really needs me to be on target.
