I am completely sorry about the confusion, and yes i was tired when writing that. The deer is below you on the ground and you are on a floating staircase in the sky.
Shellin |
I would imagine being shot in the chest did the trick xD
DM: Twilight Hatter |
Hello everyone, we are starting to get in the thick of stuff and as we are, i kinda feel that my descriptiveness on some aspects of the places or objects, items, and features are lacking a bit. If anyone needs ANYTHING in better detail or wants something to be sketched in a quick visual, just tell me and I will ensure that you get the detail your characters deserve.
Maps, with you guys actually on top of them, will be up tomorrow. I was trying to do that today, but need to find a work around as what i had in mind wasn't working out. But hey, i'm good at those. So even if it requires another hour ontop of re-mapping things and such, i will do it. See ya soon. Gonna go nap...
Argus Ironeye |
I intend for Argus to scout the streets so we can get a basic idea as to what we are going to face. Basically moving across the roofs and lying toward the roofs edge to break past the fog and get a general idea as to what is below. I was thinking of going east first and will examine any windows as well.
Shellin |
Let me know if the knowledges get annoying, I just tend to find them only as useful as you make them.
DM: Twilight Hatter |
Argus Hm, useful... Ok, awesome.
Koon Heyo! And hey, no problem. Maybe just in the future, even if your just not feeling a post, a quick courtesy post in discussion or something will do. Whatever your reasoning, it is fine.
As well, yes. Yeah, a 'marker' for where you are might have been nice, sorry about that. I'll have Battle Maps and stuff, with your characters, up in a bit.
Shellin No problem on the knowledge checks, i find it 'A-O-Kay'. Do as many as you please... within reason.
DM: Twilight Hatter |
When combat actually happens can you put coordinates on the map so we can make it clear on how we move and where we're standing please?
I was thinking about that. Sure.
No post for today. I need to get up exceptionally early and actually should have already been in bed like 5 hours ago...
Shellin |
Out of curiosity, how do you feel about botting combat? For instance, if I were to say "Shellin stays 25 ft away from the nearest wolf and continues to throw Jolt on his turn until the target is dead."
I only ask because as an Arcanist, some fights might not necessarily merit more than a cantrip here or there. Considering the number of enemies, I'm not even close to planning on botting, but the question stuck with me none the less
DM: Twilight Hatter |
1) Ugh, i DID forget to roll your eidolin... and i tried to remember it too!
... How about he moves just after you. Is that fine?
2) Yes, that is fine. I know you said for instance but is that what you would like your character to do?
Shellin |

Thank you no :P

Ok XD
TarkXT |
Something you can do, for convenience's sake, is that you can put the Combat Map either in your race line on your GM profile or in the campaign description instead of the paragraph above we probably don't need anymore. That way it's always there and we dont' have to go to another page to get to the page that has the map on it.
DM: Twilight Hatter |
DM: Twilight Hatter wrote:Sure, but just this once. Part of the appeal of playing a summoner is that I have two different initiatives to utilize.1) Ugh, i DID forget to roll your eidolin... and i tried to remember it too!
... How about he moves just after you. Is that fine?
Especially later when you may have more than just two! I apologize and will put dutiful work in remembering your eidolin(s) from now on.
As well Tarkxt, I do see your point. I will change things up slightly and have the current map up under my race line. I too must admit that it would get kinda annoying scrolling all the way up and opening a another page before getting to the map, and then having to go all the way back down... It is just a little messy and can be faster if done this way.
I'm posting this from my phone right now. Meaning I am away from my map editor on my pc and can't go edit the places of combat right now (new sleep schedule has been hell and I forgot to bring it along with me when doing a last minute outing with some friends) but before I get out tomorrow, I will see about posting in the morning and I Will try to go one week with no excuses as to why there is no post. Real-life can be a drag from time to time but its that or serrious dedication to a couch-job and since I don't exactly have that luxury (kinda wish I did XD) I need to pay a little more attention to the more graspable and pertinent things. Though, I know I promised a game and after putting so much thought into where I'm taking this and how much effort I have already invested, I don't want to leave you guys hanging dry like a lot of DM's do to people... Just wanted to say that that's not going to happen. I know that RL can get in the way from time to time and that is why a lot of games here kinda go to crap because of it. But no matter how much RL impacts the game, for me or for you, I will continue to making an effort to keep the game running. I will probably stop before it gets sad though if for one reason or another I end up gmpcing all the characters and I'm the only one still dedicated. Jeeze, my head hurts just from thinking how that would look XD.
TL;DR?
No post, Gomen'nasai Gomen'nasai Gomen'nasai (I'm sorry). I will see if I can post tomorrow morning to get things back on track.
Gurthock the Fleshmincer |
Gurthock took Improved Shield Bash as his 1st level feat.
So he still has his full AC.
Even without his shield he has a 17AC.
Shellin |
I think he was treating you as ff as you had yet to move this combat
But yeah, improved shield bash would cover that :P
DM: Twilight Hatter |
And crap. Well, awesome. Thank you for remembering and pointing that out, your back up and at full Gurthok.
If this ever happens again, go ahead and through it my way when you can. I will also try to go into every character for their combat stuff but if you could perhaps put in the pertinent stuff with your post just so i don't overlook stuff like this again? If you could, it would take a load off! If not, its fine either way.
Please continue to point out my mistakes, it makes me a better DM every day! :)
DM: Twilight Hatter |
Hey... so um, there has been a little confusion about Combat, which is ok, but I'm going to hopefully clear it up. Right now we are still in the second round, the first round has past, and the third round has yet to be.
I only did an upkeep post to put up what was recently done, and i stopped at Gurthok (labeling We're Here in initiative) because he hadn't posted at that time, presumably because he was waiting for me to rectify my previous mistake.
We are still in Round 2 and some people haven't moved yet as is how combat works.
TarkXT |
I do ask for people to not post too ahead and wait roughly until there turn has come to post. Soemone ahead of you in the initiative order may very well do something to benefit you that you will not see or have to change your post because the situation by the time it is your turn is actually drastically different.
DM: Twilight Hatter |
I'm dealing with a little bit of a sickness, so there wont be a post tonight. Its especially late and i need all the sleep i can get. I will try posting like 4-5 hours earlier tomorrow. Posting for me is like an hour or two as i have to re-adjust maps and such.
DM: Twilight Hatter |
I'm back! Now where did i put those ravenous dogs... where... wherrrreeeeeee... no not there... hmm...
Argus Ironeye |
Back left pocket behind the mints, paperclips and mindflayers.
Now to split the party and let them all gang up on us in little groups. Oh wait, already done. Good thing we are all close-ish. Well except for koon.
Shellin |
And Dwight, who followed him :D
Also, Gordon, you may want to get your bow xD

Haha, Awesome.
And the party, i feel, should get a little reprieve before all the OTHER things show up...And Gordan, Seconded on the bow thing.
Argus Ironeye |
Hey I am absolutely fine with looting a bow that was so nicely left for me. At least until I can afford to barter for a actual weapon of quality having a basic bow means I can actually flurry.
Then I can miss twice a round.
Dwight "HollowForge" Davenport |
Well... I was trying to make it so he wasn't alone... I guess I could have said something to him along the lines of "don't go in there!" Or at least until the rest of the group was together... Well too late now...
This is what happens when you are going to college, working, and playing pathfinder in the same week, lol! ^_^

No worries, I have a meat shield to activate traps and hold down ravenous dogs while I retreat to safety.
I also I have my eidolon. :P
In all seriousness I think this current style is pretty effective in covering a mission like this. Splitting up may be dangerous, but it's also quick and efficient.
Shellin |
The rest of you are screwed.
Still have 1st level spells for aforementioned "oh shit" :D
Shellin |
idk why but I had it in my head that we were fighting undead wolves XD
All the rotting meat and stuff threw me, my bad
Argus Ironeye |
Man life would suck for you against undead wolves. Mind immune, DR/5 slashing, 50ft charge range to take advantage of the staggered condition. Oh and trip. Trip is mean on a staggered creature, they can still make AoO's.
So, bets on this hammer Argus picked up being cursed?
DM: Twilight Hatter |
I'm sorry I've been missing for a day... Or two. There has been a lot of event stuff going on and family has been dragging my sickly-sick self to them. Post will be up tomorrow.
(And here I thought I wouldn't have been the one to not post...)
Argus Ironeye |
To condense our current actions I beleive after doing all their own things everyone is either
1. heading to the storeroom Shellin pointed out
2. trying to bust down the door with Koon.
Oh and Argus picked up a possibly cursed bloody hammer. But who cares about that.
Shellin |
@Gurthock I think we are still standing and talking, no one has left xD
Also, the storehouse is the house right by the corpse, if I have it right
