In character, Prae is quite the twisted individual.
He is a Kuthite, and is used to their methods, although I'll try to keep most of the unnecessary stuff either out of the game completely or in spoilers if I feel need the need to share. He does have the Blood Drinker (human) feats, which means he can live off of humans, and even gains benefits for doing so, but as feeding on an unwilling intelligent is an evil act, he tries not to do it too much unless it's necessary. Once he trusts his new group, and if he gets along with the half-elf, he might approach the bard about feeding, if that's something you think would be okay. Again, making everything clear to begin with.
His attitude is rather dark (pun intended), as he is half-vampire, and has spent much of his life inside the walls of Kuthite temples. That tends to leave marks, both mentally and physically.
Mechanically, he is a mix of social skill-monkey and melee combatant/debuffer, using Shadow and his chain along with his domain powers to great effect in battle.
I realize we have a bard who is possibly better at some skills than Prae, and he is wise enough to understand that some are better at things than others.
Dario Westone
Hey folks! I'm happy to be here! Dario got into a previous Midnight Mirror game that never went beyond the first 2 posts by the GM. I'm excited to explore this weird and fun module.
Dario is a religious scholar, so he's both intrigued and accustomed to weird religious practices. He would definitely be a good choice for Prae to come to with his weird urges. Be prepared for rambling religious discussion and the occasional "teaching" moment.
Mechanically, Dario's your generalized skill-monkey, knowledge-base, and melee striker. With his levels of Bard and Ranger, he has nearly every skill as a class skill. If he has a chance to buff himself, he can get in there and mix it up pretty well, but he doesn't have real staying power. He does have a level in Freebooter Ranger, so he can give everyone a small buff, but he's not a traditional Bard buff machine.

Hello everyone!
Zaitherin is a surprisingly good social character, and a decent sneak. She looks like a teenager, and this helps with both her social and sneak skills. She's a fetching, and they age slower than humans, but she is actually 30.
She's also a Battle Oracle, and an efficient beatstick. Most of her Oracle spells are buffs, and she chose the ability to automatically know Cure spells, so she can help heal outside of battle, but in combat she will be too busy smashing skulls to heal.

Hey all! I'm currently posting from my phone (which I do most of the time) and am therefore away from my computer and unable to remember which of the (several dozen) freshly-created characters I submitted to this game, but I know it will be a ranged combatant - that's mostly what I play, especially here on the boards. I will whip up an alias tonight and post a proper introduction to my character when I get home. Here's to a good fun game with you all!
Delyn
Better. Profile created; first post done. Still finalizing backstory; will update when I get that ready.
Praetorix
Sorry if Prae seems selfish or rude at some times...he kinda is.
He really only cares about his orders from the Court: figure out what's happening and stop it.
I hope y'all understand that I'm just playing Prae as he should be, and not trying to actually be rude or anything.
Zaitherin Someras
No, I get it. I'm playing a rash hothead who works for the God of Battle. Sometimes she'll come off testy, so I get it.
Zaitherin Someras
SPLIT THE PARTY! And by that, I mean Zaitherin would vote to follow the fetchlings, to escort them safely home. She can meet up with you guys later if you choose to go a different route.
Alyksandrei
All of the options seem good. Delyn will be worried about the fetchlings making it home safely, but finding the Baron, spying on Lucien, and gathering more information (from townsfolk and/or Father Miklos) are also things on her list of things to accomplish. Asking questions is not really her strong suit, so she will only go talk to people as a follower. A full-blown search for the Baron would take more resources than we have available and would be better focused with more information anyway, so that's low priority. Spying on Lucien is...not exactly priority - it seemed to Delyn that, as ringleader/spokesman, he had more frustration at the situation looking for an outlet than any real motive for singling out the fetchlings or anything.
Tl;dr: Delyn will go with Zaitherin to see the fetchlings home safe. Her priorities then are 1) Investigate the disease and other strange happenings by asking around town and questioning Father Miklos, 2) Investigating the Baron's disappearance as a prelude to a full search-and-rescue operation, 3) Verify that Lucien, et. al. are just terrified villagers who don't know what to do but want the problems to go away.
Praetorix
Prae quite honestly doesn't care about escorting the fetchlings back at all.
Heading to the Manir to search for the Baron and going to the temple of Zon-Kuthon are his two main priorities.
Obviously, he is patient, so he will give the group the necessary time if they insist on taking the fetchlings back personally.
Dario Westone
If we do want to split up, Zaitherin and Delyn can see the fetchlings home, while Prae and Dario go the the temple. Then we meet back up to go to the Baron.
Dario Westone
No real plan. Dario and Prae have a bit of history. If we don't think it'll be fatal, we can split up, do our respective tasks and meet back at the gallows in a hour. You two should probably say something that you want to join us to check on the Baron.
Zaitherin Someras
Great, thanks!
Glad to hear it was fun. I'll be officiating the wedding for an atheist and a very religious Protestant, and they want me to split the difference with the ceremony...we'll see how that goes!
Zaitherin Someras
Well, I'm actually fairly neutral on the matter. I guess I'll leave it up to Dario, in case he's got a preference.
Praetorix
Hey guys!
Somehow, the little "X new posts" part beside his campaign was turned off, and I've just been patiently waiting for the longest time for this to update, without realizing it was continuing without me!
That being said, I would like to simply rejoin the group and continue, although I certainly understand if you want me to go through the recruiting process again.
Thanks!
Lluvia Shade
Hello, everyone. :) I am pretty much ready to go as well - I am not sure whether I should just appear at the chandlery, though. Lluvia has little reason to care about it; even though she does have a very good reason to maintain a low profile and still desires to find out what's going on. So she might have just observed for now.
Thanks for letting me join I am eager to see through this mystery.
