Silgil
|
Silgil pops a Magic Missile off at a wolf, attempting to take down the most seriously injured one.
MM: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
"Time to mop up... Literally," he adds seeing the copious amount of blood on the theater floor.
Prisim

Prisim also advances. She uses an acid splash on which ever wolf is still up and most wounded.
touch: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 - 4 = 1
damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
The back of one of the chairs vanishes into a pile of smouldering acid.

Well, darn. It looks like I was off by one in my calculation, and so it seems Blend did in fact kill Wymund with that last arrow. That'll teach me to try and power out a post at lunch time!
Wymund's head jerks back as an arrow hits the dead center of his eye. There is a brief, sickening moment as he stares at the arrow shaft protruding from his head. Then he shakes and passes out from the pain, dying there on the ground a half-moment after. The wolves, seeing their master slain, fight on ferociously.
Bold may act.

So you did! No worries. I will have to roll the will saves for sleep on the wolves anyway.
Green will: 1d20 ⇒ 13
Red will: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Both wolves actually stave off the bard's spell!

GM, looks like Green failed his save on DC 14.
Garrett finishes his spell and then quickly draws his shortbow as he moves forward, while maintaining his rousing speech!
Attack Red: 1d20 + 8 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 8 + 1 - 4 = 6
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Chip~

5 ft. step
Chip steps up and starts going to town on the wolves. Nonlethally of course, as he still has an aversion to attacking animals. Starting with Green then going to Red. Remove the flank bonus if red ends up being attacked.
Full Attack
Longsword Attack (TWF, Power Attack, Inspire Courage, Heroism, Flank, Nonlethal): 1d20 + 11 - 2 - 2 + 1 + 2 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 11 - 2 - 2 + 1 + 2 + 2 - 4 = 19
Longsword Damage (Power Attack, Inspire Courage): 1d6 + 5 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 5 + 4 + 1 = 13
Short Sword Attack (TWF, Power Attack, Inspire Courage, Heroism, Flank, Nonlethal): 1d20 + 11 - 2 - 2 + 1 + 2 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 11 - 2 - 2 + 1 + 2 + 2 - 4 = 15
Short Sword Damage (Power Attack, Inspire Courage): 1d4 + 2 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 2 + 1 = 6
Free Action
"Zipper, attack this one!" He points at the more southern wolf.

Chip, being a simple animal, will just attack RED.
Full Attack

Lod grits his teeth and swings again at the wolf from the ground, this time calling on the power of the Lady Shelyn to take down the wolf.
Swift to smite on the wolf. Since it smote me Lod is taking a guess that it's evil.
+2 AC for 18 (14 while prone)
+1 greataxe: 1d20 + 8 + 1 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 8 + 1 - 4 + 2 = 8
damage: 1d10 + 5 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 1 + 2 = 9
| DystopianGM |
In one smooth action, Chip knocks out the first wolf and bruises the next, and then Zipper lands several hits enough to knock out the last remaining enemy. Soon enough, the wolves fade back to their home plane in a hazy, shimmery blur, and then finally to nothingness.
Out of Combat!
Before the combat, you noticed several pages strewn about chairs on the stage, and now you have time to peruse them. They seem to be supply lists and coded lists of names of some kind. There is also a list of cities: Absalom, Sothis, Kaer Maga, Oppara, Whitethrone, and Almas.
With the immediate threat of Wymund Pratt's Shadow Lodge quelled, you seem to have more questions than when you started. What is the Shadow Lodge? How far does it go? Who are its agents? What do they want? You have a feeling that this is only the beginning, and that discovering the answers to these questions may take more hardship and toil. More sacrifice.
Everything has a cost in the City of Strangers, after all.
Great job everyone!

Lod picks himself up off the floor and dusts himself off. "Well, hopefully that's the end of the Shadow Lodge in this city." Upon seeing the coded list, he groans, "But maybe not everywhere, it seems."
Thanks again, GM!
Silgil

Silgil tries to find ANYTHING that might tell what this shadow lodge actually is. He also commits the lists of names to memory. List like that have a way of vanishing - then again so do those that keep those lists in their memory. Yikes!

Garrett stashes his bow and joins the others as they examine the intelligence they gathered. He shares a look with them, a smiling pulling at the corners of his mouth. "It would seem that we have only begun the first stage in a length venture, my friends. Let us prepare for the next step!"
