In which case I can step into Khamul's space without provoking by going around the outside and shield slamming the wolf directly forwards. DMS, per Shield Slam, I get a free Bull Rush attempt with the CMB roll replaced by my Attack roll (so, a 22). Does that succeed? If yes, the wolf is either bull rushed back 5 feet. Either it will be bull rushed off the ship or it will be knocked prone as it hits the side of the ship, as per that feat.

Marika grins, her eyes gaining a slight blue cast as the air around her seems to charge with static electricity with a swirling gesture around her body. That done, she suddenly plants one hand on the ship's railing and vaults into the air...
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

Sigrun's smash not only breaks bone, but the wolf flails over the edge. Despite the railing, the force is too great, and the wolf drops over the edge and into the harbor.

While still affected by the opening salvo, the dockmen mean business. Fear of reprisal is worse than fear of you...
The wolf-dog is near rapid, and swims towards the dock. The leader, seeing what he thinks is an easy target lunges towards Marika and stabs with a shortsword: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 - 2 = 7, but she doesn't even need the spell to avoid the attack.
The Northwest thug looks about Perception: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7, doesn't see anything threatening him immediately, and shoots his crossbow at Chusynd 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 4 - 2 = 9. The bolt lodges itself into the mast.
The thug to the Northeast takes the same approach, but aims for the squishy looking elf 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 4 - 2 = 16, and manages to hit Fel 1d8 ⇒ 1

Sigrun looks around for the boarding plank and puts it down with a thunk, not wanting Marika (and Kageko - assuming she hadn't drowned!) to deal with the thugs on her own.

Round 2 Update
Thus far no reinforcements arrive, neither do any locals in the area make note. Chusynd goes far wide with his shot. Meanwhile Khamul nails the thug with a ray FORT: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9. He immediately responds by vomiting on the dock. Sigrun takes a full round to drop a gangway onto the dock. Yes, D13 would result in a flank.

5' step back, casting Shocking Grasp.

Kageko slays the thug without so much of a cry in pain from her target. He slumps to the docks, motionless. Marika's hand crackles with arcane power. Unfazed, the leader steps forward for another stab with his sword. 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17, and drills her for 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 damage. The final thug, unaware of how the battle is turning takes another shot at Chusynd. 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 4 - 2 - 2 = 7, and misses pitifully.

With the thug down, Marika feels free to sag a little bit, although she's still got the smirk on her face. "Can't believe he actually fell for that. Not sure I'd have done it if I'd known he would." That said, she isn't in such bad shape that she can't make her way back up the gangplank towards the other thug.
Assuming she can fire off an elemental blast from where she's standing, she'll do so at the thug to the NE. Otherwise, move closer to set up for the blast next round instead.

I'll field this: There's one thug left on the east side, and the dog's back on the pier coming back down the west side. Marika just came back up the plank, which is also on the west side. The only easy access is long the west.

Also, the dog is already badly wounded and charging two people that have full health and sharp weapons ready, while the remaining thug is unhurt and could cause us serious trouble if he managed to run away and alert others

The rapid dog weaves his way down the dock, heedless of the danger, only the instinct to bite back drives him forward. With the final blast from Marika, the remaining thug drops. As if on cue, sailors begin moving quickly to their stations, but with Passad and the others below decks, they only take position. They await orders.
While this dock is relatively isolated, it's not that isolated. curious parties are already headed this way.
....what do you do?

Marika turns and slumps against the side of the ship, hand putting pressure on her wound. "...make ready to sail for the Glass River," she says. "...get the bodies on board. We'll...figure out what to do later." Oddly, her grin hasn't vanished at all, although she's definitely in pain.

Sigrun nods, hurriedly hooking her axe back in its holster on her belt before even bothering to clean off the wolf gore from its blade before hefting the nearby corpses onto the ship.

I'll let you recover, heal, etc. Sound off when ready to advance.

Kageko looks extremely concerned about Marika's injuries, but nods and moves to obey, albeit with a look that promises a lecture about getting into harm's way later when it's safe to do so.
| Dungeon Master S |
There is plenty of time to clean up the wounds incurred at the dock. A few hours later as the Abacus sails smoothly up the Glass River, Amauhak asks for a side meeting about how tyou intend to perform the rescue mission, namely how you will gain access to the inn without arousing unwanted suspicion.
At this point the trio of Metella Passad, and Amauhak turn and look clearly at the lot of you to see how you want to play this part of the mission.

"A great deal of our planning is going to be dependent on the situation we'll encounter when we get there," Kageko points out. "As of right now we simply don't know enough to make specific plans. In general, however, I still favor a diplomatic or subtle approach - provided no one sneezes at an inopportune time." She shoots a brief glare towards the dwarves at that last comment.
