    As the party rises into the room it all comes down to this. From humble beginnings investigating a stolen Harrow Deck to haunted castles, it comes down to this.

    The party triggers some kind of alarm that didn't go off last time. The orb of blood burts! Now with the horrors made real before you you understand that this is the end. Your eyes draw first to the queen's guard. It's a legless, winged, white-eyed dragon, covered in patches of diseased flesh, squirming with maggots and oozing pus.

    The queen's voice comes at you from all sides. Somehow the queen is not one, but Legion! There are SEVEN Ileosa about the room, all identical. All their faces twisted in rage.

    As if that wasn't bad enough, from over the shoulder of the Evil Odric stands a figure that alone would seem like a challenge. Ash and embers encrust the smoldering humanoid frame of this imperious, dragon-winged devil.

    Round 1 Team Ranger

    The ranger calmly breathes as he rides the floating disc up. His long time blade SharkSlayer is a figurative extension of his left hand. His right hand rests on Serethial's hilt. He can feel the sword's excitement and power. The blade is hungry for the downfall of Zon-Kuthon's influence.
    Thorgrym has never felt so many powerful magics, enchantments, and spells coursing through his body. He only focused on his breathing and he was able to achieve a zen like state. He felt content. He had faced death before and something brought him back. He believed his spirit was able to return because this fight was his fate. He thought that perhaps after victory he may die anyway since he had completed his destiny. Maybe he wasn't truly resurrected but only given just enough time to complete this.

    Just as the disc reached its final stop he reached over to stroke Bucho's loyal head and while the blood bubble broke and literal Hell burst forth he took just enough time to bend down and let the dog give a sloppy lick to the side of his head. Then they were moving, great speed enhanced to supernatural.
    Without thought they moved in concert to flank and attack the White Queen.

    If a bard were to sing of it the crowd would dismiss it as fantasy. It's no fantasy,, the ranger and his loyal companion dash open the queen's ribs and tear her kneecap out! She refuses to fall. Not now! Not so close to ultimate victory!

    Ferox changes that with an arrow to the eye! He quickly turns to a second Ileosa before the first one crumbles into a pile of bloody snow. She too drops in a hail of death arrows, and she too is nothing but snow.

    For good measure he sticks an arrow in center mass of a third Ileosa Yellow

    Criktik uses his power against the Evil Odric Will: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 but the man with the goatee only laughs from the belly.

    "በሲኦል ውስጥ ይቃጠላሉ!" The Devil gives a flame-filled laugh as the whole area is shot through with sheets of roaring flame. All on the side of the Upturned Cup takes 17d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 4, 5, 4, 3, 4, 3, 5, 2, 5, 5, 4, 1, 5, 6, 2) = 69 Fire damage. Half on successful REF DC 25 save. If you have SR it can penetrate up to 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (7) + 17 = 24. Ref for Psychopomp REF: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30 He then closes distance on his burning wings, eyes locked firmly on Odric. "FOOLISH MORTAL, CONTINUE YOUR PITIFUL BRAGGING NOW!"

    The flames fail to touch Menetherian The Strict, the fiends magic just dies as it approaches the Herald of Calistria.

    Gaius... 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (13) + 15 = 28, seemingly guided by forces beyond your ken, just dances out of the flames and is untouched as he leaps and spins through the air, before landing in a crouching lunge, his left hand stretched behind him as if he just brushed the fires away. His long hair hangs down, hiding his face. Gaius slowly raises his head and flips his hair back and around, his eyes glowing an unearthly yellow.

    My Turn he snarls, and he speaks a word that is anathema to Evil itself, as his outstretched left hand traces three sacred sigils in the air, and he activates the Bead of Smiting.

    Holy Smite bursts forth, catching Ileosa (black), The Undead Dragon, The Devil, and Evil Odric.

    DC 17 Will Save for Half Damage and no blindness.
    Damage on Fail for Evil:3d8 ⇒ (2, 1, 8) = 11 plus blindness as per spell

    Gaius then bolts for the corner.

    Menetherian's faceted eyes glimmer. Her wings buzz with volume and frequency enough to shake the walls. She unleashes all her beastly fury on The Devil.

    Not a moment after the fires died down, Gaius takes action.

    Barely a grunt escapes Evil Odric, but Ileosa screeches in agony as her eyes are blanked by Gaius's spell.

    The Herald reaches out and most of her attacks fall short, but not all. A claw and sting break through the flaming sin of the Devil but only the stinger hurts it at all. Through the entire exchange the devil never turns away from looking at Odric. The very devil's body burns the Herald, Fire: 1d6 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19 and Fire: 1d6 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 18 Net 17 damage after Resistance

    FORT: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (13) + 23 = 36, the eggs instantly burn within the devil's body and die off.

    Black Ileosa: mutters words of magic but nothing overtly visible happens. Spellcraft DC 17 to identify.

    Green Ileosa: Steps up next to the huge dragon. She also weaves words of magic, locking eyes with Sandor Will Save DC 19 or find yourself Confused.

    Blue Ileosa: A third Ileosa targets Bucho, weaving a spell. Will DC 18 or be Slowed

    Morrigna: The Psychopomp slides to the side and her wrappings lash out towards the Yellow Ileosa:

    As the battle ensues, Morkeleb has a lot to do before he can even act...

    Reflex save: 1d20 + 10 + 4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 10 + 4 + 1 + 1 = 24 <--dang! with all the buffs, missed it by ONE!!!

    He is unable to dodge the flames, but his resistance to fire & the Heroism spell blunt the edge somewhat--but he is still pretty injured by the spell.

    The devil is known to him...

    questions:
    1) how is the devil here--called, or summoned?
    2) how to kill?
    3) how will it kill us (besides ripping asunder)
    4) is any trait (like willpower) weaker than any other?

    He sees one of the queen's dopplegangers cast a spell, and...

    ...knows what it is (and probably whom its targetting)

    He also takes a quick look at the "queens," to try to determine what kind of magic is making the duplicates, and whether he can determine which (if any!!) is the actual queen.

    With the initial perusal complete, he shifts backward and takes action...an attempt to split the field into the Upturned Cup's favor!

    A Prismatic Wall springs into being immediately behind the devil, a bright multi-colored opaque plane of pure magic. It is only wide enough that it leaves a 10' gap where Bucho is standing Wall is 4' wide per level, which is 60' and the room appears to be 70' wide. It's 30' tall so I assume it reaches the ceiling?

    Mind the wall, my friends. Trying to pass through it will prove...very unhealthy.

    The flames envelop Ferox but fail to touch him.

    Bucho/Grym/Ferox killed the White Queen. But you mention that she is blind? Is there a different color Queen that is blinded?

    As the intense sheets of Devil Fire pours over the UpTurned Cup the big brindle dog is instantly alert. Avoiding fire is a primal instinct for all animals. The dog drops low and moves just enough keep his sensitive nose free of the flames, some of his back hair is singed but he comes through unhurt.
    Surprisingly caught flat footed, Grym takes the powerful flames full in the face. Yet, even realizing the danger the ranger shows no sign of distress. He confidently trusts his magics and sure enough he is unhurt by the flames.

    The silent dwarf mounts the floating disk, giving a salute to the Upturned Cup by placing his favorite mug upside down on the disk. Nobody need Crictik to relay the message for you all can see it in his eyes before he closes his helm that he is proud of his time with all of you.

    With the opening salvo's being thrown, fire here, rainbow wall there, Illeosa's exploding into bloody snowflakes, Sandor almost forgets to step forward and lay a butt whoppin on the devil.

    King of Korvosa

    As the disc rises, Odric sees the foes arrayed before the Upturned Cup. He recalls the starstruck feeling he had when first confronted with royalty, but grimaces with chagrin at the memory. This usurper has set herself against the city Odric loves and has sworn to protect. His encounter with her 8 months and 19 days ago was like a meeting of two entirely different people. This meeting would go much differently.

    A wall of flame billows toward him as way of introduction, and though he ducks. Reflex Save: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (4) + 17 = 21 <- Fail, takes 55 Damage. His enlarged form is not nimble enough to avoid the full brunt of the flames.

    Twice the Kegerator cuts as Sandor bashes the immolating devil backwards. Despite the aligned weapon, the hits still find supernatural resistance, though not nearly enough to stop the blade from cutting.

    CORRECTION which does not matter now but will later: stoneskin blocks 10 damage PER ATTACK up to (in this case) 130 damage total. Thank you.
