    King of Korvosa

Ack! Sorry, if the rider is under the one Ferox targeted and hit then the rider. If not then the mount. Re: 2 attacks that was one normal and an extra for hasteage.

MAP TEMPLATES | Social Combat | War for the Crown | Campaign Tracker |

Yeah no hasted attack when also moving in a round.

Odric closes to take a shot at the beast, getting snapped at on the way AoO: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14, but Cayden watches his own. Odric then connects! Meanwhile DeGrog moves to cover Gaius and readies himself to receive a landshark.

Giaus and Grym to close Round 1

Gaius moves to the center of the group and whispers words sacred to his goddess... Fog pours from his shirt cuffs and blankets the area in thick mist.

(The thick mist is within the yellow borders. 5' away you have concealment. More than that and you have total concealment.)

    Gaius hides in the mist.

This isn't how I pictured this battle starting. I'm sorry Morkelb who's above it and Odric who's above it, now your the only targets for the feared and respected Cinderlander with his deadly crossbow, and wierd red mist girl

MAP TEMPLATES | Social Combat | War for the Crown | Campaign Tracker |

For now. Leaving them out there alone isn't very nice. :-)

Mork's invisible. Odric is very tough and smart enough to kite the rider back to the mist. And he's a really terrible target for the Cinderlander. I defend my choices.

    Round 1 Team Ranger

There are always many variables in battle, and this one has a few too many for the simple Grym. He desires to stay in the concealment of the unnatural Calistrian mist and wait for his prey. Yet, he also feels that he can't leave his comrade Odric alone amongst the deadly looking landsharks and riders. With another heart beat of indecision, the ranger acts. He trusts Sandor and Degrog to keep the enemy off of his back. Blades out, he rushes forward after Odric. Bucho follows along having no trouble in the thick mists.

Weaving through the little buildings the ranger gives Bucho the command to flank. Then rushes into the deadly zone (AoO) around the landshark and cuts at the great beast.

    attack! 1d20 + 14 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 14 + 1 + 2 = 32
    shark slayer 1d4 + 2 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 4 + 4 = 11

    Bucho's attack 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 9 + 1 + 2 = 24
    bite 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

MAP TEMPLATES | Social Combat | War for the Crown | Campaign Tracker |

Calistria's mist descends onto the field. Gaius's crooked grin is the last thing the enemy sees. Grym and Bucho, however, spring into action, contrails of the spell spiraling in their wake. It's too far for Bucho to also strike, but he does acheive the flank. Occupied with Odric, the bulette misses Bucho's maneuvering. Grym slices true with a classic strike (which he learned from Vencarlo.)

    ROUND 2

The wizard surveys the area, taking note of the extent of the magical mist Gaius created, and seeing how the enemies are lining up. He drops to the ground, and makes all haste to Odric's southern flank.

Should be able to move--at 60' move--to get 10' south and 5 or 10' east of Odric. Lines up the 2 humans and 2 bullettes for a lightning bolt--assuming they all stay there!

    Round 2

Sandor's vision quickly being blocked by the rogues mist watches Team Bucho assist Odric. Torn between wanting to assist and focus forces or provide support for the rest Sandor chooses to provide support by being a blocking element. He moves to the edge of the mist and readies an attack if something comes within range.

Gaius apologies. My comment was meant as a statement not a critique, nor was it aimed at you, although I did forgot about Morks invis. I didn't see us pushing to contact, but instead using terrain and huts to advantage. I also envisioned Morkelb controlling the Cinderlander and that fearsome crossbow.
(although I love the lightning bolt)

    King of Korvosa

    Round the Second

Odric plants his feet slightly wider than shoulder width apart. He settles into a powerful stance and lowers his brow menacingly. With a twisting of his torso, he heaves his gleaming falchion over his right shoulder and sets to work reaping flesh as he does most things in his life... with gusto.

    Power Attack (Furious Focus) with MW Keen Falchion +1: 1d20 + 17 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 17 + 1 = 33 for 2d4 + 10 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (1, 1) + 10 + 9 + 1 = 22 damage.

    Hasted attack: Power Attack (Furious Focus) with MW Keen Falchion +1: 1d20 + 17 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 17 + 1 = 22 for 2d4 + 10 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (4, 3) + 10 + 9 + 1 = 27 damage.

    Confirm: Power Attack (Furious Focus) with MW Keen Falchion +1: 1d20 + 17 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 17 + 1 = 32 for 2d4 + 10 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (1, 3) + 10 + 9 + 1 = 24 damage.

Ooc - Hopefully at some point the enemy falls, if so he shifts to the next thing breathing. Also not certain if I flank or not... if I do please add bonus.

MAP TEMPLATES | Social Combat | War for the Crown | Campaign Tracker |

Ferox's first arrow slames right through the Cinderlander's throat, yet STILL he fights on. The second arrow takes him through the eye and FINALLY he drops! His third arrow hits the Crimson Lady, which causes a growl. Odric is spurred to similar action. After two swings he brings the beast down. His final swing misses the crimson lady. The NW bulette approaches through the mist, but doesn't find a target to hit after wandering. The NE one moves to swing at Sandor, MIST: 1d100 ⇒ 88, BITE: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15, but it misses the dwarf. The SW also goes for DeGrog MIST: 1d100 ⇒ 24, BITE: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18 and it also misses. DeGrog then steps out and brings it to the monster!

    1: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (11) + 16 = 27 DMG: 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
    2: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27 DMG: 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15

Finally the crimson lady herself enters the fray. Her technique with the sabres mirrors Grym's. She strikes four times at the ranger, giving a grunt of pleasure with each swing:

    Saber 1/1: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 14 + 2 = 31 DMG: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
    Saber 1/2: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 9 + 2 = 24 DMG: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
    Saber 2/1: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 14 + 2 = 23 DMG: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
    Saber 2/2: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 9 + 2 = 13 MISS

Three times she connects with the ranger.

    Round 2 Team Ranger

Though Thorgrym did help a little, he is none the less impressed w/ the incredible power of Odric's Kegerator blows upon the landshark. He thought for sure it would take much longer to slay the great beast. Then again, he did stab it fiercely w/ his magic dagger that has powers of shark slaying, so perhaps his thrust did slay the landshark.
With her mount slain the crimson armored warrior lept down and entered melee w/ Grym. Her fients and footwork were beautiful, but the pain of her slashes brought the ranger back to a razor's edge.
His focus back, he stopped her onslaught with a hard parry and turned the fight back against her his counter attacks coming with varied speed and tempo.

Grym 5 foot steps to be flanking w/ his canine

    Scimitar 1 1d20 + 13 + 2 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 13 + 2 + 4 + 1 = 35
    damage 1d6 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 4 = 10
    SharkSlayer 1 1d20 + 14 + 2 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 14 + 2 + 4 + 1 = 37
    damage 1d4 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 6 + 4 = 11
    Scimitar 2 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 8 + 2 + 4 + 1 = 20
    damage 1d6 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 4 = 15
    SharkSlayer 2 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 9 + 2 + 4 + 1 = 23
    damage 1d4 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 4 = 13

The fierce dog springs to the top of the dead land shark plants his paws and leaps down to flank the crimson warrior w/ his master. There is no hesitation in the dog's actions. Its hard to tell if Bucho understands the danger he is literally jumping into, or if the crimson warrior understands the immense power of his jaws.

    Bucho power bite 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 9 + 2 + 4 + 1 = 32
    damage 1d8 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 11 + 4 = 17
    power bite 2 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 9 + 2 + 4 + 1 = 19
    damage 1d8 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 11 + 4 = 20

In the pause of a heartbeat in the melee, the ranger glances over and makes quick eye contact w/ Odric. He nods to the landshark that is uncomfortably close behind his back. Without anymore time to spare Grym hopes the Stout understands that he wishes to finish this duel himself.

crap Grym.. Mork is on auto-pilot it is set up perfectly for him to use Irristable Demand (Will DC 22) on the landshark to attack the Crimson Lady which sets up flank adds more attacks per round on her and removes an enemy from the fight, but you want a duel... Not sure how to proceed. You all know him better than I do. What would he do?

Also what Mork does will surely affect my actions so he needs to go first.

Grym would like a duel. That doesnt mean thats what he will get. He certainly didnt tell Mork either way.

Grym also realizes that her blades are poisoned, though the ranger manages to fight off the poison. She begins a dance with Grym that few others could match. Their skill with two weapons means there is a near constant ring of steel. The Vencarlo trained ranger scores two quick hits before she switches her guard to close off the high and low gates. The switch works as she parries his second two attacks. Still they take their toll. Likewise Bucho grabs hold of her leg. The powerful jaws elicit a cry of pain from her.

Grym did you forget your extra attack for your haste? In Pathfinder I'm not sure if that just gives you an extra attack with your scimitar, or with both weapons. Good luck, just be warry of that poison. At least she's human for your Ranger stuff :)

Hey will someone who knows Mike at the gaming table do his action. I'm not sure if I would choose right. I think his class ability on the landshark would be the best, but then again I'm not a great caster player.

    Round 3

Ferox takes a step forward to keep an eye on the others and turns his attention
To the large sand shark bearing down on him from the north.

Primary target is the one directly north of Ferox. Secondary target is the one facing off against DeGrog.

A trio of arrows sink into the bulette's throat even as it recoils from the electricity. The beast crumbles under the punishment.

The crimson woman is clearly outmatched, and not above retreating. She breaks into an impressive display of acrobatics: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (13) + 17 = 30 and makes for the cover of Gaius's spell.

    ROUND 4

    Hi guys :-)

Seeing the turn of the battle, Morkeleb decides that the running crimson woman is the biggest threat. He focuses her will on her, trying to keep her from running. (He figures that if she eludes his mind's grip, he can still lay her low even if she runs--he's got a good view of the field and will see where she leaves the cloud)

    Irresistible Demand, will DC 22.

    Round 3 Team Ranger

The crimson woman takes Grym by surprise w/ her acrobatic escape. A tiny part of him is clearly taken by the woman's amazing moves. He is almost a little sorry that he will have to kill her.
The ranger takes off after the fleeing woman. Without needing any verbal communication Bucho follows after, the dog clearly excited with the taste of his prey in his jaws.

Slipping through buildings after the crimson woman the ranger extends and cuts as the woman enters the strange yellow mist.

Gaius maneuvers himself around the woman and sticks her with his rapier. Her cry is one of desperation, as she has nearly succumbed to her wounds. Grym's first attack falls short due to the mist, but his loyal dog has no problems. Bucho clamps down with vice-like jaws and pulls the Crimson Woman down where she finally loses consciousness.

Good guys in Round 4. Morkeleb and Sandor can redo their actions as the situation changed before their turn.

    King of Korvosa

Odric sprints towards the cloud of magical cloud. He hears the bass hurumffing as the bulette heaves it's breath in and out. The spicy scent of the smoke in his nostrils and the closeness of the white opacity blocking his line of sight gives rise to a subtle unfocused panic.

He runs strict to the sound of battle, when suddenly Ferox' outline looms out of the gloom. Odric dodges left, brushing past the archer as he begins pulling his first arrow to his cheek. The whistle of the fletching past his ear, then the wet sklurch as the razor head rips into the bulette helps Odric vector his path towards his foe.

As the edge of the cloud approaches with a brightening, suddenly Odric plunges into the sunlight with his sword pumping in time with the thudding of his boots in the dirt.

Odric's headlong plunge into the sting of battle is accompanied by his war cry ripping out of the depths of his chest!

Ooc- Double move. Can I attack for some reason? Haste or roller skates or something?
