I'll add in the equipment from Ignatious. I feel bad asking this, but can someone tally up the Gp value of the gear Ignatious is donating? I would but I just don't have hte bandwidth at the moment.

Still, Ignatious gives a rousing speech enough to get the teams excited. You all remember when you were bright-eyed like that.

Roakar probably has some stuff left over from his young adventuring days that they could put to use as well.

Roakar adds some gear to the pile as well. Digging out old potions he hasn't touched in a while and blowing off the thin coating of dust.

Gear:

2x Oil of Bless Weapon 600gp Pretty sure I had to buy these from a cleric and not a paladin
2x Potion of Enlarge Person 100gp
1x Potion of Invisibility 300gp
1x Potion of Lesser Restoration 300gp

Rock on. We're good to go! Thanks Ig.

MAP TEMPLATES | Social Combat | War for the Crown | Campaign Tracker |

With the teams dispatched, it's up to you to handle the most dangerous mission. Given your destination, Hugo leads the way.

Pashow’s temple of Abadar is mostly abandoned because many of the priests have accompanied the faith procession convoy. Fewer than a dozen priests remain behind to maintain the temple. The rioting townsfolk have chosen to ignore the temple, instead venting their anger on government agencies and non-religious shops and other areas. You push their way through angry mobs and urban unrest to reach the temple— you even catch sight of your field agents helping you out.

Hugo needs no introduction. A member that powerful is world renown. The priests present hustle to lead you forward. Apparently Emir sent word magically to expect you. A mid-ranking cleric escorts you to the sealed entrance of the lower vaults. The path is a 15-foot-wide staircase that descends into the earth.

Walls of pale sandstone stretch throughout this vast chamber. The ceiling arches twenty feet over the floor, both outlined with broad stripes of gold leaf. Large golden frescos cover large stretches of the walls, each with a large keyhole near its center. Freshly cleaned blue carpets fill several of the short hallways, and a stylized rendition of a vast golden key is carved into the floor at the chamber’s eastern end. The image points toward a grand, sealed golden door, ten feet in height.

Currently the door is closed. The priest has no key either. He mumbles that the high priest has it, but he has headed in already, locking it behind him. Apparently High Priest Kaarim wanted to make sure the vaults were secure without Pathfinder interference first.

Tactical map is updated, though we're not in combat. Switching to "post when you can" mode.

While they decide how to non-destructively open the door, Roakar will slide to one side, place his hands on the wall and take a peak inside. Thank you Arvid. I have a low level Inquisitor that I play as a bounty hunter for the church/court of Abadar. From Chris's description, the people Roakar saw are the High Priest of Abadar and Saabira. That's why I suggested knocking since they could just let us in. However, rather than answering the door they are acting like there is a threat. Since they didn't hear Roos, I am assuming that the threat is actually inside and that their response to our initial knock was just poor timing / Chris trolling us. Alternatively, they could be bad guys disguised as the High Priest and Saabira.

Pity - I do not think Hugo can use Divine Interference while flatfooted, or he'd try to "reroll" that attack on Roos.

Hugo direct his first comment to the woman with the bardiche.

I really do not believe Abadar would appreciate all of the jumping and spinning in the hall of his temple. But seeing as you have descended to such uncivilized methods, we will probably want you to talk to our expert in the subject of martial displays.

Next he direct his angst at Kaarim.

"And YOU! As a clergy of the Keeper of the First Vault, you should know better! I will have you hauled before the Executive Council on charges of a number of violations, including but not limited to treason and heresy! Seize him!

Having faced dragons, litches, and fake gods, Roakar looks unimpressed with the display of magic. He says to the High Priest "You should take this as your only warning. No good comes of threatening my comrades."

You're quite confident he's not paying attention.

Can Hugo tell if some sort of consecration or other divine magic was activated? .

You think it's something magical, but not divine.

Her body immediately turns to ash (not her equipment) and the high priest seems to be moving a LOT faster.

I JUST saw the line of Hugo's movement. That draws from her before she dies. Putting in now"

ATK: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (15) + 25 = 40 for DMG: 1d10 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15 and Elec: 1d6 ⇒ 6

That movement was a dimensional hop - so should not provoke since I never cross any squares she can reach?
And for what it was worth, one of the inevitable's 2 attacks was on the priest.

You're totally right. I read it and registered it, and by the time I looked at the map, I had forgotten. No AoO then on Hugo. The priest is slightly injured, but not tripped. Sorry about that, busy Memorial Day weekend.

No worries...it was a long post I had to update 3 mistakes when I posted .
Busy packing for train trip to Chicago & Wisconsin early tomorrow morning. Not sure what we will see but definitely reminding the kids what Memorial Day means other than just a long weekend with BBQ .

I'll call on divine energies to unleash a Flame Strike, affecting only the high priest, and step into the room a bit.

Refl DC 20 for Half: 14d6 + 1 ⇒ (1, 5, 2, 6, 4, 2, 6, 3, 3, 4, 1, 6, 1, 3) + 1 = 48
Half Fire, Half Divine energy

Also, just a reminder, I'll be leaving today, so I may not be able to post again for some time.
