Larissa lets go of the detective and points to his weapon as she reaches for the catch, planning to barely open the door to allow her darkvision to see inside.
If it's locked, she gives it a very teen-style eye roll and steps back for the detective to address. Complete with "now what!" gestures with both hands...

The two red squares are large cages, metal, with four "dogs" or something that looks doglike in them. There's a door across the room from the door Larissa is opening.
They look to be dressed in sheepskin.
I've placed Larissa in the hall outside; the other yellow is the stairs down......feel free to place yourselves.

At the same time as Leik tosses his flammable fun, Edwin chucks his own clay bottle, as it lands it explodes with a small 'SNAP', spewing milky-white resin over the area which quickly hardens.
Rholf moves into the room . Seeing Larissa's tactic, he decides it's a great idea, and follows suit.

Edwin hits the "dog" up front; it's the one in the blue square that says "cT."
He's all gooped up.
And Rholfy also clamps his door shut.
The "dogs"
in Larissa's crate can't do much because the one right in front of the door is tanglefooted.
Larissa notices they all have milky white eyes like a dead grouper, and none of them even seem to be growling.
Rholf's foes, on the other hand, try the gate....two of them, scratching, slamming, trying to drag it open with their jaws.
They cannot overcome Rholf's hold on the gate though.......

Leik, giddy due to the fire, throws another flask at the other crate, aiming to miss Rholf (aiming at C2).
