Let Professional Psychotics Block Gun Purchase.

Existing psychopaths are the people who know what to look for in other
would be mass attackers.

They can ask meaningful questions of would be gun owners -- like "Do the
big talking blue birds tell you drive on Mondays, or shoot innocents?"

Because of their real-world (well, not real-world) experiences other
psychopaths can make pin-point assessments about whether an individual
should be allowed to purchase a gun, in America.

And, for those found unworthy to own a gun, these people can share advice
about useful medications.

Which states have legalized pot, at this point in time?

wait....

You can make money doing this?

Wouldn't this run counter to their being actual psychopaths? Do you have some quasi-Voight Kampf test to tell when the "professional psychopaths" are telling the truth about the potential psychopaths and not just f~%*ing with everyone else involved?

I have no idea what you mean by the useful medication bit, but for You: I'd prescribe a nice hot toddy, a piece of dark chocolate or two, avoiding lunatic "news" sources, and a good nights rest.

Basically, crazy people are easy cash-flow for the drug companies?

"Are you crazy then take these pills," they say. "Society will gladly
pay us for you to take these pills (even if they don't work) because
it is afraid of you."

Laughin' all the way to the bank, as they say...

.

Ah, but someone somewhere will always consider a specific individual or type "crazy" -- for instance, you. Who watches the watchmen? Protecting everyone from everyone else with pill for a pill leaves the whole world medicated and/or institutionalized.

I think much more positive results can be achieved by limiting who has access to the Internet and similar forms of communication when they've repeatedly demonstrated they cannot manage it or filter their input properly.

Don't we already do this? The people who enforce the laws are police officers...

Unless they are not police officers...maybe they are the psychopaths and they want you to think they are the police officers.

I think you are way past the need for screening of gun buyers

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I'm pretty sure the job of police officer is one that attracts psychopaths.

I'm trying to be a good coppertop and just produce my quota of energy for our Matrix-creating machine overlords, and ya'll got to spoil it all with threads like this.

Have you met many gun store owners or gun show salespeople? I'm not sure this strategy hasn't already been tried.

I certainly didn't cogitate this one up on my own.

Based on this logic, would you also recommend making the pedophiles in charge of our school security?

Only the enemy will teach you how to destroy him.

I have a friend who likes to give vague responses. The rest of our group has a rule, if we can't understand what he's saying, we get to determine his answer as we see fit.

I am opposed to your proposal of putting pedophiles in charge of our schools.

Peace is what you give to me at night
