Lore and Kurama combine to nearly kill the female Blackraven (focus on nearly). Spitting blood from her mouth, she is still up. With a snere, she attacks Lore.

Her swing connects with the sorcerer, causing a huge gash across her chest.

Grim and Ruptrecht round the corner, and see that the door in front of them is closed (unsure if it is locked or not).

Since Grimdoc did a full run x3 last round, I figured he was another 20 feet east down the hall. Also, is Oday doing anything or any word from him?

Grimdoc follows Ruprecht north to the goblin room, trusting that Lore,Oday and Kurama can finish the remaining Raven.

Lore takes a five foot step back and channels energy, to heal herself and Kurama, excluding the two blackravens from the effect (using selective channeling feat)

As Ruprecht and Grim get close to the room holding the goblins you can easily hear the sound of fighting within the room. Combat continues, its not over yet!

Knowing the others had run off to find the goblins, Lore motions to Kurama to follow her (and quickly pass her, since she moves at gnome speed, lol). She takes off on the same route taken by Ruprecht and Grim, trying hard to catch up.

After a full move up the hall last round, Grimdoc should be just outside the goblin door at the start of his turn.

If the door is open, he will enter and attack any Raven if they are actively fighting goblins. If there is no active fighting, he will attemp to stabilize any fallen goblins.

So let's ret-con this sucker. Essentially you need a Slight of Hand (easier) or Bluff (harder) check to get the message to the informant. Since Oday hasn't posted in some time, I'll try to Aid Other for him.

Grim's determination brings him through the door, splinters flying everywhere. Inside, he sees that there are two other Blackraven warriors (from the stables) that are trying to kill the goblins! One lies dead on the floor, the others have taken various implements to defend themselves.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 Misses a goblin since they had gone into total defense.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 Unfortunately connects with the goblin, nearly chopping his head off. The goblin falls to the ground dying.

Kurama doesn't find much of interest. There are some official looking papers that he starts to read.

The nimble ninja ascertaining the situation tries to move in flanking position with Ruprecht to bring down the less assailed Blackraven. Kurama moves along the western wall of the goblin prisoners' room to avoid any blows from the Blackraven would-be assassins and over the crates.

The Blackraven warrior looks at the foes in front of him and knows his time has come. He drops his weapon and begs for mercy. Please spare me! I was only following the Captains orders. See this is my first post, I've only just joined the 'Ravens.

Combat is over. You may do as you wish with this captive. The other three Blackravens are unconscious, but stable. One Goblin is dead, another is unconscious and bleeding. Three are healthy and fine.

Lore steps into the room and sends a burst of healing to all who are injured, including the Blackraven who yielded. She specifically excludes the unconscious Blackraven (selective channeling)

She does walk over to the fallen goblin and checks his condition, shaking her head sadly when she confirms that he is deceased. She gently closes his eyes.

The yielded Blackraven slumps to the ground in defeat. He lets his battle-axe drop with a clang. The unconscious goblin stops bleeding, but doesn't move. His breaths are short and shallow, but he sill breaths.

The way-station is full of quite, save for the painting of the adventurers and of course the goblins.

When asked, the Blackraven warrior says he was ordered to kill the goblins by the Captain. The Capt'n always had something against the green skins, dunno why. Being new, I just wanted to impress my C.O. Now look at me, a disgrace.

Out of combat and you are now in charge of the way station.

"Maybe we should collect up all the wounded, tie up the Blackraven prisoners and I will channel again and include everyone, including our goblins as well. As for you," she turns on the surrendered 'Raven, "tis no shame to disobey orders when they are wrong. You'd best remember that in the future, consider this a life lesson that you're lucky to have survived. What doesn't kill you, makes you wiser."

She looks to the others regarding further healing to see who needs what and how much.

"I can do one individual heal if anyone is in dire need, otherwise it would be best to channel for all who are wounded. But we should get everyone together including the two we took down earlier if someone can drag them in here."

Grimdoc will help Lore attend to the wounded. He can cast CLW a couple times also, if needed. Not exactly sure what to do with the dead goblin...will see if he can be buried or whatever we can determine from the other 4 as appropriate for the critters.

It doesn't take long to bind the Blackraven prisoners and heal the goblins. You quickly confirm the story from the Captain. He says he is defying orders in order to avenge his family.
Your march to Trollheim is a little slower but you reach the extraction point on time. Handing over the goblins and the Blackraven traitors to the guards, you get confirmation that the situation will be handled.
However, it is suggested that given the political nature of the goblins and the traitors that it would be best if you left the area as quickly as possible.
The Society has arranged for a ship to quickly take you back towards Absolam.

Feel free to continue to post out of time order if you like. We'll take a small pause before we start the next scenario.

Ruprecht was happy to get on the ship and head back to a warmer climate. He was disappointed with his overall performance on his first mission, but knew that things would only get better from there.

Grimdoc is also glad to be rid of the goblins at the end of his very first mission. And although he will not admit it, he felt bad for the little buggers after all they have been through and losing one of their own. Hatred runs deep in his dwarven DNA, so he will not lose any sleep over them, however.

Half-Goblin

The frigid salty air actually comes as a relief after your few days with the goblins in the wilderness. The journey south is free of incident. After a week or so, you stop in the magnificent city of Magnimar to reprevision. Before the captain can even finish tying off at the dock and checking in with the quartermaster, a tall half-elven guardsman wearing a pin of the Pathfinders approaches the boat. Welcome to Magnimar. I am afraid that your shore leave will have to wait. There is some business that is urgent and you are needed. The Venture-Captain, Madaam Heidmarch, is waiting for you.
The half-elf bows and gives you a moment to gather what you need. He politely tells you that any gear that isn't essential will be handled by the porters and taken to the Hiedmarch Manor.

It is assumed that you had time to stop at another port to sell and purchase new items. Now is also a good time for our two new members to introduce themselves!

Lore hops off the boat and looks around with a little sigh. Magnimar was a city that held mixed memories for her... mostly of loss, and the sadness shows in her face and eyes as she steps hesitantly of the boat. "Ah, Magnimar... city of misfortune..." she whispers under her breath as her feet touch the dock.

She seems a little surprised by the words of the Pathfinder guardsman, then sighs and shrugs as she hefts her small pack of essential gear. "Sounds like we're needed again my friends. I guess it's in our chosen line of work to be ready for anything... let's off to see this Venture-Captain Heidmarch then."

She struggles for a moment with her emotions and then finally puts a smile on her face as she follows the guardsman to their destination.
