*Munches on a scone* Happy to be here!

Were any decision made about how we're starting / how much of us know each other / whether we're at an estate or boarding school / etc?

Not as far as i know

LG Paladin 1; hp 16/16; Fort +4, Ref +0, Will +3; AC16 Map!

I'm actually super excited about this one. Haven't played a strait Paladin in a long time...and NEVER played a catholic one hahahah! And I think homebrew wonderland setting is excellent idea.

I say we are all boarding school mates. Gwen is the one usually found in detention. Mostly because she beat up some boy who was bullying a smaller boy. Pesky LG alignment gets you in trouble all the time!

Luthian would be one of the "Privileged". Luckily he's one of those who can fend for himself.

Quiet though. Anyone want to link stories? I believe Union Jack and Luthian has a link, anyone else?

Gwen, your CHA modifier and WIS modifier in your profile are wrong. 15=+2, 13=+1. Just a heads up =^^=. Just checking with GM: so small template is in play? +2 DEX, -2 STR. Correct?

I'd rather leave game play out for now.

I want to start it on a strong first post, and not everyone is quite ready for it yet. I'm just weird that way.

I'll describe the setting once you guys have come to a consensus on where you are. Boarding school would work. So would an estate. Once everyone is aware of the starting setting and where they apply, we can go ahead and take you out of it. :P

Also: Don't take this as my permission from everyone to do this. People might want to be specific about their characters, but I like having an open channel of "memory sharing" between characters. Like "this reminds me of that thing we did once" without having to clear every interaction you've had with another player first. I'll be doing this as a GM if it's logical for your character to have experienced something they might remember in a time that applies. Especially as results for knowledge checks.

I thought you were a swashbuckler for some reason,
Either way, both of us likely were in detention rather frequently
Edwin tends to think bullying can be fixed by punching the offenders in the face

I was kinda imagining Edwin finding underland by chasing his weasel and tripping and falling into a hole (possibly the weasel was chasing a rabbit!)

I'd be one of the privileged, but I'd also be quiet and probably ignored / picked on a fair deal.

Oh I thought we just got the normal Small benefits (+Attack/AC, -CMB/CMD, +Stealth). Are there attribute modifiers as well?

I am totally in approval of this.

Luthian wrote:

I was actually thinking that you might be the only person that Charlotte knew prior to coming to the boarding school - since we're both upper class, I was thinking that our families may have known each other (perhaps we got horses from yours?) and we'd have known each other from the age of ~5 or something?

Boarding School? Then Ama would be the one that you could pick on, and she'd do nothing. Of course when you started losing things... Your favorite comb, you misplace your notes before a test, you don't remember forgetting your book, but could have sworn that you didn't leave it where you usually eat lunch outside and have to get it out of the rain...

Hrm.. if Ama is good enough, she might earn the name "bad luck" or something like, since anyone that associated with her (nevermind that it was the rude ones) suffered a streak of bad luck afterwards.

Do we have a starting date? =^^=

Also. Still want to know if we have the stat modifiers for being small?

Me'mori and Foul, are you two still finishing up characters?

We can start as soon as you two are finished up. :)

Yes, we are adjusting stats for small size, but not for being young age category. :)

That still leaves me confused. Do we get -2 Str & +2 Dex for being small? Or just the normal AC/Attack/CMB/CMD/Stealth changes?

You do both. :)

LG Paladin 1; hp 16/16; Fort +4, Ref +0, Will +3; AC16 Map!

Can someone point me to the rules on size then? Cause I thought it only modifies AC. I may need to adjust a stat or two then. But please don't let that stop the beginning of game! Gwen is ready to go...

I'm at the point where I can do RP right now, but given that I was called in for mandatory overtime on Sunday (the day I was planning on building the character) I'm not good for anything beyond that
Thankfully I'm off work tomorrow

Werehare Inquisitive 3/ Seeker 3/ Bard 3

Ama is done with the exception of equipment (which for an "opportunity student" is non-essentials)

Is there any equipment that you require beyond the standard clothing and hygiene sundries? The usual equipment of a Pathfinder game seems out of place... Maybe a sap?

The equipment is actually more in place than usual. XD

Instead if having collected all of your things over your life to go adventuring, you're just receiving all of the supplies you need at once.

While you're still spending money as your class allows (maximum, I may add), you're actually going to be receiving the supplies on your character sheet as a "gift" when you arrive in wonderland.

So, you can choose whatever type of tools or weaponry you'll require for your character without needing to worry about where exactly a kid got ahold of these things. :)

If you're taking the more burglar-y role, there are a lot of cool things in the tools and kits section of the pfsrd, if you're not going for weapon type stuff. :)

I'm not rushing anyone to finish by a certain date.

I'd like this to be a laid back game where we go at your pace. If players want to amp it up and go quickly, I can do that, but I want everyone to be comfortable at the pace we take.

This is important for me to say:

Don't ever think I have abandoned this game. I'm about to start college, and I may be busy sometimes, but I will be here posting as I can. If my life requires that I take a break from Paizo, I will tell you so. I won't just dissapear from the face of the Earth. Unless I'm dead. That's possible. Not likely, but who knows. But that or some other disaster is the only reason I would stop posting without warning for a long time. It might take me a day or two to get back on track after a real busy time, but I will always come back to keep this game running, and I hope if anything happens, you guys will trust that I'll be back as soon as I can. :)

I appreciate that, Magic. :)

Luthian wrote:

Okay so here's where the confusion comes in.

1. Paizo statted most of their Small races to have the STR/DEX difference. Not all of them, however. Slyphs and Wayangs, for instance.
2. Possibly because of this, the normal rules for Size do not affect STR/DEX.
3. Reduce / Enlarge person are based around the idea of changing size.

By default, starting at a smaller size gives you +1 Attack / AC, -1 CMB/CMD, and +4 Stealth. No changes to STR/DEX. I am totally fine with having that be different, since we're effectively playing something other than "normal" humans, I'm just pointing out how it's a bit different from what I imagined.

My only question is, does that mean our attributes would change once we hit actual adulthood at 16 or 18 or whatever? I'm not sure if the campaign is even intended to use "Real Time" where that would be a concern, I just want to not get hosed on stats later.

Okay great! I have a little bit left to do with Equipment and then I should be all ready. I'm going to try to get that together today.

In the race builder of the ARG, when you pick large size, +2 str. -2dex and the opposite for small size.

Have to relook at my supplies when our power is back on... to see if i had/have the correct gp amount

It's easiest to just build a regular human and then apply everything it says in reduce person.

Unless you guys want to leave Wonderland and then do a time skip up to young adulthood(like the Tim Burton movie) I won't be doing any stat changes.

Actually, when the shrinky-growy bits happen, I'm just going to treat it as a different environment instead of you all having to re adjust stats

I think I am finished with my gear. I unpleasantly discovered that one of the feats I chose was worthless, so I changed that, too.
