Charged with a quest from the Ghost of their town founder, the heroes of Kassen must infiltrate a seedy temple dedicated to the living god Razmir in order to find clues to the whereabouts of a pair of amulets that were stolen from The Crypt of the Everflame.

  • Kaylee holds action.

  • The Maks swarm moves ahead 10 feet to cover Vastar, Swoop and Kaylee.

    Combat Maneuver/Masks of Control Kaylee: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 Pass!

The swarm tries to shove masks on the faces of the 3 Heroes. Vastar and Swoop manage to fend them off but Kaylee cannot resist the attack and a mask is stuck to her face.

Vastar, Swoop & Kaylee roll a DC:12 Fort Save or become nauseated.

Kaylee (& Lorant), please roll a DC:13 Will Save at the beginning of each round you are wearing the mask until it is removed.

    Swoop has 7 hit points.

Swoop takes to the air to get away from the swarm scraping the cieling in F16.

I step away F15 and channel His power to heal my allies and myself.

    channel positive energy to heal: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6

    Init +4; Perception +7; hp: 28/28 AC 13(17)/12/11(15); F+3, R+3, W+5

Kerret casts ear-piercing scream, silently shrieking at the swarming masks.

sonic: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4 DC 16 Fort or dazed. And hopefully it takes extra damage from an energy attack for being a swarm?

He then runs past the creature, to stand behind Lorant.

    Move to H 18

    Fort save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 Crap

Something tells me I shouldn't bother with my action.

    I forgot my saves.

    fortitude save for Swoop: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

    Actions not affected, thankfully.

    Initiative +1, Perception +6 (+8 w/Fenris) Current AC 15, Current HP 29/29 (29/29 non-lethal)

    Fort save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
    Will save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

It was definitely not a pleasant experience having the strange mask attaching itself to her face but Kaylee resisted the urge to vomit. Worse, she could feel it trying to exert itself against her willpower. Kaylee was able to keep it out of her head and focused on getting out of the swarm and away from the golem, moving over to where Lorant is standing and then trying to remove the mask. Moving to G-17. What do I need to roll to attempt to remove the mask?

Lector grits his teeth as more of them are caught in the swarm of masks. He holds the bed sheet readied in one hand as he stows his whip, looking about for an opportunity to throw it. He follows after Kerret, moving into the next room (G17).

Removing the Mask will require either a CMB check to try and pull it off your face or you may attempt to break it using an attack roll. Feel free to get creative if you have any other ideas.

    Initiative:
    Kaylee
    Masks
    Vastar
    Kerret
    Lorant
    Lector

    • Vastar steps to F-15 and Channels Energy.

Swoop is overwhelmed by the mask swarm and feels a little dizzy. Never the less, he escapes the swarm and clings to the ceiling.

    • Kerret casts Ear Piercing Scream. The spell looks to affect the creature more than it should. Kerret moves.

    • Lorant feels the battle is not going well enough in the enemies favor and feels compelled to call for help to assist them. Forces outside of his control cause him to move to H-21, throw open the double doors and shout "HELP, THE INTRUDERS ARE IN HERE!" This draws the attention of 2 priests who are standing guard at the staircase.

    • Lector moves to G-17

    • Kaylee, both you and Lector tired to move to G-17. Since his turn came first in the initiative order he will get it. Please revise your move action and choose how you would like to attempt to remove the mask.

    GM ONLY:
    Mask Golem 16 Damage
    Egarthis 67 Damage(unconscious)

    Vastar HP 25/25 AC 12

Can I aid another to help remove a mask?

Is unbreakable heart going to be any use to Lorant?

Yes, you can Aid Other to remove the mask. As for Unbreakable Heart, I would think not. The mask functions as a Dominate Person spell which looks to operate just outside of Unbreakable Hears't parameters.

    Init +4; Perception +7; hp: 28/28 AC 13(17)/12/11(15); F+3, R+3, W+5

Uh, just want to put it out there that Lorant, Kaylee, Vastar and Kerrett all still have Kassen's Boon and with Doug's ok, Lorant might be able to use that to reroll his mask save.

    Initiative +1, Perception +6 (+8 w/Fenris) Current AC 15, Current HP 29/29 (29/29 non-lethal)

    H-17 is fine

    CMB: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

Kaylee runs into the hallway struggles to remove the mask, grabbing it with both hands after dropping her weapon and attempting to pull it off with a yank. "Someone help me, please! This thing is trying to do something in my head."

    Human Mobile Fighter 4 (hp 13/40 | AC 17/13/14 F+6, R+3, W+2 (+2 vs. Fear, +2 vs. Illusions) | Init +3 | Percep +4, SM +1)

Does Lorant get a save normally this round or is he dominated for a bit?

He gets a new save every round. If he passes he takes actions as normal.

    Init +4; Perception +7; hp: 28/28 AC 13(17)/12/11(15); F+3, R+3, W+5

Are we at the top of a new round now?

    Human Mobile Fighter 4 (hp 13/40 | AC 17/13/14 F+6, R+3, W+2 (+2 vs. Fear, +2 vs. Illusions) | Init +3 | Percep +4, SM +1)

    Fort Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

Lorant suddenly comes to his senses and grabs the edge of the mask to pull it off.

    CMB: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

    Cleric of Erastil (current hp 25, total hp 25; F+4 R+4 W+7; AC19, t12, ff17, Initiative +3, Perception +9)

You might want to use your boon to re-roll that CMB.

Doug, are there oil lamps in the room?

    Human Mobile Fighter 4 (hp 13/40 | AC 17/13/14 F+6, R+3, W+2 (+2 vs. Fear, +2 vs. Illusions) | Init +3 | Percep +4, SM +1)

You're right. No sense in keeping it.

    CMB reroll: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

Lorant yanks the mask off his face. He throws it onto the ground.

Was the a Standard action or can I try to smash it?
