It appears that no-one is trying to stabilize you, so basically you roll until you die or succeed.

There's the wand, but looting takes a while, and then someone needs to spend time identifying it with detect magic & spellcraft.

Okay, no worries. Since I rolled for the wand twice, consider the first one to be my own CLW spell (which I can cast spontaneously).

Fredric would need two applications of CLW in total to get back to full health. And with 40+ charges, I think we can spare them!

Two CLW's would heal Fredric fully. So I think that's one from Nioku and one from the wand.

What action to use smokestick? Just 1 standard action to activate and throw/drop?


One of the CLW was used on someone that wasn't Fredric, I recall. So it's 1 from Nikou and two from the wand.

I'll put a link in the campaign description short thing, yes.

Let's call it a standard action to light and throw a smokestick. That seems fair enough. Give it a 10ft. range increment when thrown at an intersection of the grid, and if you miss the AC 5 of such an intersection, you use normal alchemical weapons scatter rules (which is to say you roll 1d8 to determine direction, and the thing lands as many squares in that direction as the number of range increments you threw it. So throw 5ft., you scatter 5ft. Throw 25ft., you scatter 15ft.)

RE knowledge The planes:

DC 13: You know that the little red men are called 'Fallen'. They're outsiders(Evil, Extraplanar), and the most common form of demons summoned by corrupt casters.

DC 28: Aside from the above, you also know that they're molded from the soulstuff of the souls tormented in hell, and come in several different varieties. The bright colors of their skin is generally an indicator of their relative power, and the bright red ones before you being the least powerful. Fallen are physically unremarkable, even compared to untrained humans, and exhibit no resistance to fire or other elements. They retain much of the cowering, whimpering nature of the tormented souls they're forged from, and are generally loathe to be the first in the fight unless they seem to have the upper hand somehow. They have been known to speak, although it is rare outside of their battlecrys. This and their use of tools in the form of torches, weapons and shields suggests at least a rudimentary intelligence. Their love of fire and torches has lead some scholars to suggest that they are unable to see in the dark, unlike indeed most demons, but this is purely conjecture.
Their shamans seem to have some control over the forces that animate them, and are able to return them to life.


Also I see someone made notes about the animate dead part of the scroll. It was written as a third level spell of CL 5, with 250gp worth of onyx expended in its creation. This makes its market price 625gp, with an additional 375gp for the Magic Circle part, totaling 1000gp.

Sold as is, you could get 500gp for it.

If you check the Campaign thread:

I used the wand twice (as a 2d8+2 roll) on Fredric. The total healing was 12 HP.
Then we realised the wand would take some time to identify, so I stated one of the rolls (1d8+1) would be taken from my own spells, to stabilise Fredric, and the other one from the wand. The total still was 12 HP healed.
Fredric used the wand again, and from that I've lost myself on what you've guys done. Just heal what you need and, if I'm to carry the wound, tell me how many charges have you used. With Fredric's use, it should be at 40.

You don't think anyone would be willing to pay you money for them. They're basically just sticks and badly patched together fabric. It's better than sleeping outside, but not by much.


Do feel free to tell me when you're ready to move on. I'd like to know what sort of light you're carrying with you, since you're headed into a cave.

So, by my count, Nikou has light prepared, providing 20ft. bright light (and 40ft. shadowy illumination, as normal), Fredric has light as a spell-like through his halo, and Frank has light prepared.

An idea to speed things up. Would you be okay with providing a total of how many HP in damage each of us takes in a round? It would help us avoid missing damage rolls.

Not really. So long as everyone carries a waterskin, I'm happy. We're headed into the desert eventually though, and you'll have to carry more supplies there.

And yeah I can do that. The only damage taken this round was for Rasmus, who took 3 slashing damage.

In the round prior, Erodin took 0 damage due to fire resistance
Frank took 4 fire damage.
Fredric took 2 fire damage & 9 bludgeoning damage.
Nioku took 4 fire damage & 5 slashing damage.
Pallan took 2 fire damage.
While Rasmus took 2 fire damage.


@Almiah, their touch AC is higher than 9, especially shooting into melee and with cover from your allies.
