the one to the north does not seem to be a doppelganger but it is stuck. I suggest we use ranged attacks or leave out be as the claws look quite active still.

Rogelio begins dragging a corpse back down the hall.

Byvalson inspects the rubble and looks for signs of magic.

Byvalson Detects Magic.

"We should quickly finish expecting the corpses and rubble, then return post haste to the guards with the Doppleganger heads."

Ellery thoroughly searches the area carefully keeping his distance from the apparently animated corpse and finds throughout the debris a wooden holy symbol to Pharasma, a small steel mirror, a pair of gaudy red leather boots with cat skin lining which Byvalson is certain is worth 20 gold, and finally a masterwork silver dagger tucked away in a locker full of what looks like grass-stained hunter's clothes.

Ellery looks at the boots and raises an eyebrow. He then glances at his own dirty boots in thought. He catches Andrea's attention and makes some hand signs.

Anyone want those boots? They look nice and if they are my size may be a bit more comfortable.

Ellery seems interested in the boots. I don’t need anything from the looted goods.

Should we kill the trapped creature, so it doesn’t have the chance to pursue us later? Also, what do we know about the creatures to the north?

Byvalson slips the silver dagger into his robe's folds. He then carefully steps over to inspect the "zombie" for more information.

Rogelio sees byv move towards the zombie and calls out in elven:

elven:
That's a grave mistake friend

Byvalson stops in his tracks, and rethinks the danger. Taking a step back, he beckons to the zealots of the room.

"Andrea, Uther, there may be more evil over here for you to extinguish."

Rogelio deposits one doppelganger corpse in front of the barricade all the while the two guards train their crossbows on him, counting, "That's one. Still coulda been one that we got."

"we were literally right down this hall fighting. We have wounded. I'll bring you more and if that's not enough I'll show you the ones you killed. If that's not enough then we have a much larger problem.

He walks away giving them a large, unsettling, but genuine smile.

He goes to drag the next body.

Uther looks back towards the trapped undead.

"I think it may be best if we dispatch this creature so that it may pose no further Danger two others or summon friends of his own."

Uther moves to flank and dispatch the strange, undead creature.

The two guards look at each other with confused look on their faces. "See what? We see that you brought a corpse and your friends light down the hall moving but it's too dark to see what they're doing."

Meanwhile Andrea downs the final undead with her spear thrust.

Rogelio sighs. "You need better lighting if you're going to survive. Remind me to tell your boss that when we get inside."

Rogelio puts his bow away and goes back to corpse dragging duty.

Byvalson puts away his crossbow, and gestures down the hall.

"Let's head back to the guards before we have anymore surprises."

The scholarly elf flicks his sleeve, and heads back to the barricade.

Following him, the three doppelganger heads and found supplies float on down the hall in two separate piles to the guard station.
