Andrea wields her mighty sling and flicks a bullet at the foul.
stone flick: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 1d4 ⇒ 2

Andrea wakes up refreshed after the night’s rest and is ready to explore.
Can I assume they gave me back my cheap starter weapons?

Andrea relays the information about the records that Ellery found. Does anyone else look through them?

Andrea nods and goes to collect her weapons from the guards before she rests.

Andrea returns to the group, looking slightly relieved, but also slightly bewildered.
She pulls the group off to the side, hopefully out of listening ears, and whispers and signs:
I've learned something, but I'm not sure how helpful it is to us at this moment...
I had to touch the eye... I resisted for a while, but I decided to just get it over with. I learned that the eye is some sort of fungus, but it isn't quite real the way most creatures are. It seems like it is someone's manifestation, maybe from a dream. It spoke to me, and said "What am I become?" in three overlapping drowned voices.

She pauses briefly.

I don't know what this means... I don't know what any of this means. I do think that we may have come into this mess, rather than being part of it. When I found my weapons and armor, I knew they were mine. I don't think we would have them if we were residents of the asylum.

I'd suddenly like to have my weapons back...

She stands their uneasily and adjusts the straps on her buckler.

Stealth: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (18) - 3 = 15

Anyone who fails a Dc:15 Perception check:
Andrea who had grown uneasy sitting at the table casually stands up and slips away from the table without many noticing. She meanders past several people and disappears behind the sheet. She looks at the eye intently, then grasps her holy symbol in her left hand as she gently touches the eyelid of the eye.
Lorekeeper: 19

Andrea had started drifting off a bit, but snapped to attention when she heard Rogelio mention the eye. She is listening intently, and occasionally glancing over to the sheet.

Andrea finishes praying to Nethys, having received the answer she had hoped for. She takes a deep cleansing breath and looks around her. She notices Ellery looking at her, and then signing to her.

Language: Sign:
I’m not sure what we will learn from them, but it might be worth a look. I will need to rest tonight to prepare myself and recover my energy, but I can probably help with the reading. We may be able to put them back before anyone notices.

She looks around, then says and signs: Is there anymore soup? I can’t remember the last time I ate.

Andrea signs back.

Language: Sign:
I swear I heard my own name in the thunder. I wonder if the others heard theirs as well? Something very strange is going on here. I will pray to Nethys for guidance.

Andrea approaches the small Nethys shrine. She kneels, bows her head and closes her eyes. She begins mouthing a silent prayer to her god.

Andrea checks behind the curtain and examines the eye. She digs into her knowledge of history and religion... and likely comes up with not much.

Andrea wants to take some time to read the room. She is looking for an injured person who seems significantly important. She would be looking for someone with either influence, or who a bunch of people are huddled around trying to help.

She is looking to create favor with the guards, gain trust, or help someone who may be able to repay her later. I intend to use a heal spell on it.

Andrea use her last channel energy in the chapel

1d6 ⇒ 1

Andrea looks at the Pharasma holy symbol and try’s to recall information about the god.
knowledge: religion: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

I am growing weary, but could provide some limited healing to some of the injured, if you require it, and would permit it.
I’m planning to use my last channel energy for the day, and I want to include Uther and any other injured in our party at the same time. Im not sure how many I can heal at one time.

Language: Sign:
I can try to touch their skin to confirm they are human, but they seem to be just as haggered and more desperate than we are. Certainly they seem less capable. If they try anything, we could probably best them in combat, even without our weapons.

Andrea reluctantly presents her dagger, short spear, and Morningstar. She keeps her buckler attached to her forearm.

I understand your reluctance to trust us, but if we had intended to harm you, we would’ve done that instead of hunting dopplegangers for you.

Andrea attacks the hand with her spear.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

roll to confirm crit: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19 1d6 ⇒ 2

Andrea channels energy again to damage the undead things.

Channel Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 2

H1Dc12: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
H2Dc12: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
HeadDc12: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

They all save and take one damage each.

Andrea sees Uther in a bit of a pickle and recognizes her foe as undead. She moves within about 15 feet of Uther (and get all the parts within range), and grasps her holy symbol in her hand and says some words.

Language=Celestial:
The power of Nethys rebukes you!

Channel energy to hurt undead: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Ellery seems interested in the boots. I don’t need anything from the looted goods.

Should we kill the trapped creature, so it doesn’t have the chance to pursue us later? Also, what do we know about the creatures to the north?

Andreacasts defensively to try to heal Uther.
DC:15+2=17
Concentration: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 healed for: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Andrea attempts another spear stab on the doppelgänger.

Spear stab: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Andrea is going to move up and attack the sparkly Dr.

Spear stab: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Andrea stabs again.
spear poke: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Seeing that we are past subtlety, Andrea slips her dagger back in its sheath and attacks the Dr with her short spear.

Andrea’s brutal spear stab: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Andrea steps up as well.

I will provide you aid, if you cooperate with these men.

She whispers to By.

Language: Elven:
You May not like me, but I am with you if she turns.

Behind her back she readies her dagger, prepared to attack the woman if she attempt to strike at her or By.

Sign language:
I can ask.

To By
Would you be willing to send send your pet down to confirm? Or, does someone have a good enough sense of direction to know for sure?

Andrea nods.

El says this chute leads down.

Andrea places a hand on Ellery.

Channel energy(heal): 1d6 ⇒ 2

Andrea is a bit surprised by Uther’s generous action.

She attempts to tend to Uther’s wounds.
Heal: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

Andrea moves up behind the little abominations (across from Uther, so maybe flanking them?) and attacks one of them.

Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 Short spear: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

if there is a flanking bonus, let me know

Language: Sign:
I’m fine using that as our not a doppelgänger symbol. I’m also fine with someone subduing the people behind the barricade if we can do it without killing them, but that will make us look like a threat if they have friends nearby.

Do the doppelgängers look different after the’ve been killed? We’ve only seen one, and it escaped before we could slay it.

Andrea nods.
I would do the same thing. We will return when we have slayed them. How many do you require?

Andrea flashes a few quick signs to Ellery

Language: Sign:
Weneed a side word or sign to identify us in case we get separated.
