Daleranna nods to the elf and half-elf and comes closer to Ravarel, waiting for the transportation magic. It was not her favorite type of magic but one could not choose in this case...

Spellcasters, please post memorized spells, as applicable. Also post any buffs applied to party members.

The party leaves the comforting temperatures of Magepoint and appear in the hot and humid Amedio Jungle, the chirping of insects and the smell of death in the air. The black obsidian ring of solid stone stands before you and hopefully, better fortune awaits you on your second foray. The Spire towers over the wall.

How do you plan to get over the 30' high wall?

Guess I should have teleported us inside the wall... With Overland Flight already cast Rav can fly over the wall and anchor a rope so the others can climb the wall

It is unclimbable naturally, according to the Climb rules, as it is a smooth one piece of obsidian with no edges to hold onto. However, if you throw a rope and someone anchors it, you can climb it with a DC 10 check.

OK, I have climb at 10, so with a rope, it is automatic.

Daleranna takes a grappling arrow from the haversack, ties her spider's silk rope to one of its ends and lets if fly. With the rope secured, the elf quickly climbed over the obsidian ring.

"I think it will be very easy to climb this with the aid of this rope but if you need further assistance, I think I'll need some help to haul you up!"

Sorry folks.. Im usually busy most of weekends..

Elise casts Magic Vestment on her shield, Deathward on the whole group, with Siggut getting the one that lasts 120m and the rest getting 70 from wand. She also casts Corruption Resistance on herself.. Once they near the entrace she will cast Communal Resist Energy(30) Elec and FIre, extending both they will last 48 mins each.

"Stay close to me if you can as I have an Aura that will strengthen your mind.."

Within 10' of her you get a +2 Morale to will saves..

Looking at the wall and then her fullplate she smiles.. "It seems the sun god does not prepare one for walls heh.. I will need assistance over.."

Elise, how are you putting Death Ward on the party? Are you using 3 charges of your wand + your 2 memorized spells? Please clarify.

Once Ravarel serves as an anchor and Siggut scoots up the wall, he is strong enough to pull everyone else over. You see the ziggurat and spire again (See Page 3 of thread for pic to refresh your memory). The doors have been closed and the remains of the skeletal knight and the beetles you defeated before are nowhere to be seen.

You manage to slide down the rope on the other side of the obsidian wall. You approach the ziggurat's western entrance as before and push open the doors. As before, you see the depiction on the walls of armored soldiers butchering and burning a city, while a handsome man (Kyuss, who else?) watches with glee.

The inner doors that lead into the central chamber with the pit are closed. Marching order? What are you doing?

Or
B)

Agree with both marching orders, even if the second seems more interesting.

Daleranna nods, gestures them to stay a couple feet behind, and, without making a sound, moves towards the doors. Now that they were on hostile environment, sounds like talking were not necessary in her opinion.

Daleranna finds the door untrapped, as it was during the party's first foray into the ziggurat beneath the Spire. However, she feels the presence of an evil force, behind the door. Once the doors open, the sight that greets the slayer is obvious. 15' from the entrance stands a medium undead warrior, wearing baroque green armor and wielding a greatsword, writhing worms moving through the chinks of its armor. Two others stand behind him, evenly spaced out (perhaps to avoid area attacks?). You see a 4th undead, an undead witch doctor in full regalia worn over full plate armor, on the other side of the pit that dominates the center of this room. It appears they were standing guard (eternally?), waiting for your return. With no cover/concealment and the pulsing illuminating light in the room, the slayer is instantly seen.

Siggut strikes a powerful blow, chipping bones off the skeletal warrior's rib cage.

Bad guys' Turn:
At the Wormcaller's heed, one of the Swords of Kyuss (furthest one back #3) blasts Daleranna with his Invocation of the Worm blast that covers a 20' radius, that flows harmlessly over the party, as their Death Ward buffs protect them. The negative energy does, however, heal the undead warrior caught in the blast and all the damage done by Siggut is erased.
14d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 2, 5, 5, 4, 6, 2, 2, 2, 5, 3, 4, 6) = 52

Hearing no screams from the party this time, the Wormcaller screams out, "Kelva, as you predicted, they have come prepared this time. The fools think they are safe!"

Wormcaller:
The undead priest first casts a Quickened Hold Person on the female archer (Will DC 18 save) and then a pillar of flame comes down from the ceiling, engulfing Daleranna and Siggut (Reflex DC 21 save for half (or none with evasion))!
Flame Strike damage: 12d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 2, 6, 3, 1, 4, 4, 3, 1, 4, 3) = 36...if Daleranna is held, she takes full damage.

Swords of Kyuss actions for #1 and #2 depend if the elf is held. Will wait for save.

NEW PLAYERS: When I request a save from you and it is not the first thing posted in your very next post, I will assume you voluntarily fail the save. YOU HAVE BEEN ADVISED SO READ MY POSTS CAREFULLY.

Daleranna feels the magical energy trying to stop her movements but her natural resistance against spells against her mind protects her. Sensing the danger, the elf also dodges the pillar of flame.

GM, not sure if you are using the actual order (or if when it is the party time we act in post order)... in any case, since Daleranna isn't yet sure about the undead's AC, lets say that instead of using her Rapid Shot, she would be using the haste to get four attacks. Is #1 the one that Sig charged then? The map isn't getting updated with movement so I was confused about positions..

@Elise.... Daleranna started the encounter in front of Siggut who led off by charging #1red then #2 green charged past Siggut (AOO) to attack Daleranna.

#2green is now dead. #1red is locked in melee with Siggut.

We haven't damaged #3yellow or the Wormcaller yet. And Kelva who can cast Prismatic Spray and Chain lighting, turn invisible and cast cleric spells is yet to be seen. She's probably buffing.

That's my 1min recap. . Hope it's accurate

Sorry, didn't notice I was up.

power attack, undead bane, haste

to hit: 1d20 + 19 + 2 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 19 + 2 - 4 + 1 = 20 damage: 1d6 + 16 + 8 + 2d6 ⇒ (5) + 16 + 8 + (4, 2) = 35

Sorry for delay.

The dwarf lands 2 powerful blows on the Sword of Kyuss, dealing 71 additional damage, for a total of 127 to Sword #1, but he still stands.

Bad guys' turn:
The wormcaller, alarmed by the destruction of one of the Swords, casts a Quickened Hold Person again on Daleranna (Will DC 18) and then proceeds to cast a Greater Dispel Magic (Area Dispel) in a 20' burst, seeking to dispel the party's Death Ward.

Area Dispel:
When greater dispel magic is used in this way, the spell affects everything within a 20-foot-radius burst. Roll one dispel check and apply that check to each creature in the area, as if targeted by dispel magic. For each object within the area that is the target of one or more spells, apply the dispel check as with creatures. Magic items are not affected by an area dispel.

If centered on Elise, the burst catches the party and dispels their Death Ward protections!
Dispel check: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31

The wormcaller, satisified by Kyuss' blessing, screams at the 2 remaining Swords, "Use the Invocation!" Which they promptly do, burning the party with 2 waves of negative energy, hitting Sword of Kyuss #1 and all party members except Ravarel!

Invocation #1: 14d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 2, 3, 4, 6, 6, 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 6, 1) = 47...DC 22 Reflex save
Invocation #2: 14d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 5, 1, 4, 1, 2, 4, 4, 3, 6, 5, 1, 4) = 47...DC 22 Reflex save
Sword of Kyuss #1 heals 94 damage, only suffering now 33 damage.

Will wait to see outcome of party saves to determine Kelva's actions.
Daleranna: Will DC 18 save, followed by 2 DC 22 Reflex saves, assuming 1st is successful
Siggut: 2 Reflex saves DC 22
Elise: 2 Reflex saves DC 22
Kaydanna: 2 Reflex saves DC 22
