Ophelia 'Springs' Hale |

Ophelia would like to prepare an Invisibility extract in her empty 2nd level slot and consume her See Invisible extract and her Mutagen - both have a 10min/level duration.
Not sure what point to enter trough though, so I'll just go with Diene or Darias suggestion!

Diene |

Spider climb communal sounds appropriate! Diene'll Mage armor herself and then shield the round before entry.

Post coming tomorrow...too tired right now - sorry...I updated most of my games but nearly fell asleep during that last one :)

Darkest Corners GM |
Alright. I'm back.
So; go to the top is good. Can I get people to put the effects they have up, and how long they last, somewhere they can find them easily. If I need to know about it then put it in your status bar (things like invisibility, where it would change how the scene interacts with you).
Sounds like Isama will be using Communal Spider Climb, which will pretty much make getting to the top not even an action. I will need Stealth if you plan on sneaking in.
I'm happy to assume Ophelia has finished prepping before you go. No-one has any effects up yet anyway.
There are two possible options on the top floor, a balcony with some sort of doors to the front, and a hole in the side of the building to the right.

Isama Zenj |

I'd say the hole in the side? No need to open a door and we can pop right on in.
I'll have Owl's wisdom for 2 minutes, Barkskin for 60 minutes, Long Strider for 60 minutes, and 7.5 minutes of the Spiderclimb split queally, should maybe go last as terrible at Stealth?
I don't think any of these affect what will happen like Invisibility but I will put them up in stat block.

Daria "Mia" Hearth |

Heightened Awareness. I don't have any of the other buffs -_-
@Entry: With spiderclimb I'm fine with either. I suggested the balcony earlier because it would give us firm footing from which to enter, in case we run into trouble- but with spider climb, we're more flexible.
@Stealth: I would consider using silence to make Isama less clanky, but if it penetrates into the building, it may have the opposite effect, so...

Ophelia 'Springs' Hale |

@Everyone - Since we were allowed to prep a bit have an Infusion of Shield!
It's Shield and it lasts 6min. Probably use it just before kicking down the door wherever we decide that that is :)
@Buffs - Added Ophelia's long duration ones to her header.

Isama Zenj |

Sorry don't know what I was thinking, Spider climb is 10 mins per level which is 60. Divide by 4 is 15, not 7.5
She'll also use her CLW wand before going in on herself. (Don't even remember when she got hurt!)
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Ophelia 'Springs' Hale |

Huh uhum. Well that was an interesting side-effect
Brief hello! :P

Diene |

Man, is the forum down super often these days, or am I unlucky?

Ophelia 'Springs' Hale |

No there's something screwy going on. There's a thread in website feedback (I think it was) about it.
From my passing glance the issue is this: the site code is a spaghetti and somewhere some or something put an wonky thingy in the thing that makes cookies that save your log in info - something that works off the number of ducks in Kentucky or something that was workable ten years ago but sorta doesn't run well now - and in trying to fix that random parts of the spaghetti is unravelling. But not fixing it also means that since the duck number has overflown a critical threshold the login is wonky.
Note: This summary may or may not be accurate. Please do not attempt to readjust the duck population back to 2007 levels without consulting a lawyer!

Daria "Mia" Hearth |

Hum, aye, seems everybody got re-added.
And the analysis of the netcode seems accurate, as far as I can tell.
Alas, sometimes the best thing to do is to throw away the frozen stuff and cook a new pot of spaghetti...which does not depend on duck population for flavoring.

Ophelia 'Springs' Hale |

Sadly the spaghetti seems to be load bearing.
Oh well hopefully they'll solve it eventually!

Daria "Mia" Hearth |

Oh....I thought I posted here :(
Many apologies - didn't see new posts and had not checked back...I know I wrote something but now that I think back, I think the site was down and I just kept it in the clipboard - I'll remedy that today.
On the plus side, we seem to have a new set of Linguine serving to hold our cookies in place...

Diene |

Do I need to roll a perception or anything to notice the fight or can I head in?

Diene |

I'm not sure whether that means I don't need to roll perception to see what's going on, or if that means I shouldn't head in yet.

Ophelia 'Springs' Hale |

Hmm ... And I think she's both faster *and* a superior officer so keeping her within the safety bubble might be hard if she doesn't want to :P

Daria "Mia" Hearth |

But she IS easily distracted.
We just need to get a Bag of Tricks, so we can present a petting zoo at will.
For longelivety of the contents if she starts cuddling, I'd recommend Tan.(which has 2 kitties, a horsie, a teddy, and a uniceratops)

Ophelia 'Springs' Hale |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Good idea: Stuffing Diene in a Bag of Holding with a bottle of Endless Air (or what they are called!) and then just empty the bag over anyone needing an asswooping.
Better idea: Stuffing the asswoopee into the bag too. That way it's more sneaky!
:P

Ophelia 'Springs' Hale |

Merry christmas!
May all of your comas be food and not spider related! :P

Daria "Mia" Hearth |

@All games: My apologies for the unannounced absence.
As many others, I had been visiting family during the christmas holidays.
I figured I would have some time to post in the evenings - alas, I only had my work laptop with me, and due to neglicence on my part(I don't really actually restart it all that often...hibernate FTW) my certification for the VPN-Tunnel that is enforced on all internet access was not up-to-date. Result being that I had no access to the WWW despite W-Lan availability.
I could, and should, probably have written such an update from my phone, and posted it to all my games, but honestly, I've been too lazy for that - not really a big fan of writing much without a keyboard. So, apologies for that. I came back home today, and will try and catch up with all games as soon as possible/over the next 48 hours.

Diene |

Well, we haven't gotten back around to your post Daria, so, no worries. I bet the GM's been busy with Christmas and Holiday fun as well. :P

Daria "Mia" Hearth |

No worries. I think this time of year is rather busy for a lot of people. Not being in a hurry to get posts out is actually a good thing. I simply posted that to all the games I saw HAD posts - because I usually still try and announce beforehand if I'll be offline for a while. :)

Daria "Mia" Hearth |

@Cultist going Invisible:
No worries, Isama is outside the 20ft spread(just) on the map, so Fairy Fire should work.
But I'd like to state that most of the action is in an area of silence, so he can't hear your threat/offer.
Also...they are versatile...but my action very much depends if the fairy fire reveals something(e.g. spontaneous caster who needed a full-round to apply silent spell) or not(e.g. arcane bloodline, some gimmick, or prepared caster with silent spell invisibility or vanish)
(that said, the later can be very useful for not drawing attention, while not occupying one of the very handy L3 slots, so if he's gone from the spot, my money is on that.

Ophelia 'Springs' Hale |

They could be some sort of casting class that simply doesn't utilize Somatic and/or Vocal components.
The Occultist also happens to have Invisibility as one of the resonant powers. And they are quite flavourful for cultist stuff.
Edit: Also there aren't too many things that lets one move after using a 5-foot step. So hopefully the cultist is still there : )

Daria "Mia" Hearth |

Oh, I know there's plenty of stuff, including all psionics, or spheres of power.
Main point was that some classes need to adapt and/or full-round action the spell, others can pull it off as a standard.
Hence also why I did not actually assume the 5-foot step...if you can't fail the concentration check(or don't need one) there is no point in rolling for it.
So the stepping back and vanishing was mostly flavor in my mind, making it a unified event rather than a sequential one. But reading it again, I think I'll also hope the cultist is still there ;)

Darkest Corners GM |
It is Silenced, so it does work. Detecting an invisible person in an area of silence is a pain in the proverbial.
That said, 5 ft step precludes other movement so yes; right now, for a very brief moment, they should be in that 5ft area. If they get another action and even just 5 ft again, your chances of finding them are terrible.

Diene |

They are surprisingly well disciplined. But the correct reaction to an ambush by a raging kung fu werewolfgoblin is sometimes flight.

Ophelia 'Springs' Hale |

You know what they say: if there's something scary up ahead put something worse behind. And Diene isn't quite on the "Eldritch world-ending horror" level yet :-P

Diene |

Yet. I need to get dip some levels in Alchemist for a mutagen for MORE strength and tentacles.

Daria "Mia" Hearth |

Just as an heads-up(for all my games): In less than 24 hours from now, my second child will be born.
I took a one-month leave from work to stay at home, so chances are I will have opportunities to post.
But between bonding with the little one and keeping the bigger one entertained, my posting patterns MAY be erratic at times, which is why I feel it's fair to inform fellow players(and GM's).
Only the faster-moving games will find a need to bot me, I hope, but if I am responsible for delay, do move on.
@Diene: Also, you need Eldritch Heritage for something like Orc giving even more Strenght.
