as far as Nnn's concerned (as well as myself) i dont care how the loot is split up. Nnn has what he wants, although given the size of the party, another healer's kit or two couldnt hurt.

regarding carrying loot, Nnn' has a decent STR and wears no armor. he could have all kinds of stuff strapped to him under his clothes and act as a "mule" if need be. I don't imagine too many people will approach his kind anyway, considering they have a bit of a reputation as eaters of flesh (although not as much as halflings). And that's not to mention the paralytic poison his bite naturally contains (not effective in real combat but against some mook trying to scoop up a kreen, maybe). I imagine folks view him as more of an animal, so maybe the humanoid equivalent of "dog catchers" might come up to him, but that's when having another person around who speaks comes in handy.

GM:

like what you did there with the tattoo lady. not sure anyone else caught it, though.

So I think Raun still owed Nnn some cash right? 45 silver. She'll pay 15 of that back now if you could correct the cash totals please DM.

I also note that you've got her as having MW hide armor. I thought she was still working on that and it would take her another week or are you just hand-waving it?

ThriKreen Mender Vitalist (Life Leech) 10 | AC 16* Touch 13 Flat-Footed 13* | HP 90/90 | F +13* R +8 W +14 | Init +3 | Perc +19 (*=check traits)

actually Nnn would like something like a kreen version of the Masterwork Backpack. the one that gives you a bit more STR for carrying purposes. I imagine the kreen version would be a lot more secure straps and bandoliers of small pouches than an actual pack. however, the kreen version might be more effective since they are capable of securing things a lot closer to their center of gravity thereby minimizing the felt effect of the weight.

Raun's debt was repaid already using the reward from the dwarves. And I went ahead and added the armor to your sheet so I wouldn't forget-- I'd say you'd be done by now, and I already subtracted the money for Grit to cast Masterwork transformation .

Muleback cords. If you're willing to drop the 10gp necessary.

There's also the Heavyload Belt. Not quite sure what would be better without crunching the numbers, though the cords are cheaper. Well, if you really wanted to go all out you could get both :p

EDIT: 24 Strength = Max 700lbs, 16 Strength x3 = 690lbs so unless you plan to improve your strength the cords are better, cheaper and don't use up the valuable belt slot. Not sure if you need to bother though, as Raun's max carrying capacity is currently 800lbs (Light 255lbs) and will only get higher if she gets some sort of Giants Strength magic item (though her belt slot is already taken)

@GM Ahh okay, cool :) I shall update her sheet. Yay +1 AC

Is Däina all done with the spear and leather-strip spellbooks? If so, you could go ahead and try to sell those in the elven market, or wait until you next talk to your Veiled Alliance contact in case they want them.

Also let me know here if you have side projects or errands you want to run - and whether you want to do these first or go to the client village to deal with the raiders. So far I've got:

* Nnn'tkklik'l wants to go the Crystal Spider. Psion-crafted muleback cords also would be available at standard price at the School of Thought if he wants those.

* Gorkhan wants to get back to tailing the merc with his knife.

* Grit (I think) wants to have his armor/his tigone's barding enhanced.

* ???

Female Half Elf Arcanist 9 | AC 14, Touch 14, FF 11 | HP 68/68 | F +7, R +8, W +7 (All +4 vs psionics) | Init +5 | Perc +15

If they are an alliance of preservers then Däina will most certainly offer it to them first. Yes, she is all done with it, although I intend to go back to the tattoo artist and get some extra supplies.

does Nnn'tkklik'l now have enough to buy such an item? I am not really tracking on the money conversions (10,000 ceramic pieces i think?)

he isn't really a bargainer so it would be best if i had the right amount before going hahah

Yes Grit wants to have his and his togone's armor enchanted but cannot leave it for week. A plus 1 enchant can be accomplished in a single 8 hour day under normal circumstances, and likely in 4 hours if the enchanter is talented.

Grit is willing to offer the spellbooks for sale to the alliance if they are interested.

It's not metal, so it gets converted to 1,000 cp, or 10 gp.

You can get it done in a day if you pay the extra 10 percent to jump to the head of the line at the School of Thought. Or you can go looking for a priest in the Elven Market, or wait and see if the Veiled Alliance will help - they'll likely be grateful if you manage to retrieve their package for them.

Raun will pay Nnn the final 3gp she still owed him for her weapons. As to what she wants to do, she wants to get a tattoo and make the emerald, other gems and coins into a necklace (probably not worth the expense though).

If I'm understanding conversions right after the debt she will have 1,425cp worth of coins/gems, right? She'll hold on to it now regardless.

Other than thinking on what she wants for a tattoo (suggestions welcome, especially anything anti-psionic :p) Raun's ready to go murder some bandits.

Female Human Oracle 5 | AC 16 Touch 12 FF 14 | HP 38/43 | F +3 R +3 W +5 | Init +6 | Perc +9

Safia still wants to get those buckles made, but that's just a matter of walking by the smith, placing the order, paying and picking them up later.

She'd also be in the market for new armor as she'd need armor of greater quality to upgrade the armor with magic/psionics.

Just wondering how much mithral or adamantite would cost on Athas, must be worth a fortune. Not to mention even weirder metals like Living Steel or Viridium.

M Mul - Dwarf and Human, raised by dwarves Druid 10 | AC 26, Touch 15, FF 24 | HP 110/110+0 temp | F +14, R +9, W +15, +2 vs. disease, Immune to poison | Init +3 | Perception +17, Darkvision

Grit is fine getting on a waiting list for the enchant. But he should not have to leave his armor with them for that. The can just tell him what day to come back, right?

Nnn'tkklik'l wrote:

Yep.

Raun wrote:

You paid that back a while ago, by my calculations (although it would be funny if Raun kept trying to pay it over and over). According to the Campaign Info tab, which should be up to date, you have the equivalent of 1,725 cp.

Safia wrote:

Consider the buckles to be ordered. How much did you want to spend? It would probably be 2-5 sp for fairly simple brass buckles.

Any of the non-metal armor from the Equipment document is readily available in masterwork quality (+150 cp).

As for special metals like mithral, etc., they would be artifact-level rare if they even exist at all. Agafari (ie. darkwood), as well as blood crystal and viridium are available, however.

Grit wrote:

Shouldn't have to, but still has to leave it for the week. The psions dominate the market as the only "approved" source of enchanted goods (the clerics aren't illegal, but still frowned upon). The wait is meant to be inconvenient to encourage you to pay the bribe.

M Mul - Dwarf and Human, raised by dwarves Druid 10 | AC 26, Touch 15, FF 24 | HP 110/110+0 temp | F +14, R +9, W +15, +2 vs. disease, Immune to poison | Init +3 | Perception +17, Darkvision

Hmm. It goes against his grain to pay a bribe, or to even give business to some demanding a bribe. He will avoid the psions enchanting armor as a matter of course.

What other items might be acquired? I would have never guessed there was a crystal that let you defy gravity. Are there crystals that attach to weapons or armor to enhance them? Are there items that provide other sources of AC? Armor enchants are not great for Grit as he looses them once he wild shapes. And this tigone will out grow his current armor in two levels so perhaps he is looking for the wrong thing.

Would there be any druid specific items available?

Female Human Oracle 5 | AC 16 Touch 12 FF 14 | HP 38/43 | F +3 R +3 W +5 | Init +6 | Perc +9

She'd want buckles shaped like brass coins with a square hole in the middle.

As for the armor, she'd just want a masterwork hide shirt and get that enchanted, since mobility is key and heavier armor just slows her down.

The power crystal that Gorkhan bought is a single-use psionic item like a potion or tattoo, just a little cheaper b/c the power has to be on his class list.

As a general rule, single-use items (potions, psionic tattoos, etc) and anything up to about 2,000 cp that can be made by a psion or cleric is relatively easy to obtain. If you want it made to order you may have to deal with the wait (or bribe) for psionic crafting or track down a priest (either by paying someone to help you find one or making some rolls to ask around).

Anything more expensive than that or arcane in nature is less certain, and likely requires a visit to the Elven Market (with the accompanying chance of being robbed or cheated) or a favor from the Veiled Alliance.

If anyone wants to go to the Elven Market to browse, I can roll up some random items for sale, or you can let me know if you're after something specific. What kind of druid items did you have in mind? Druids aren't absolutely forbidden like arcane casters, but they're less welcome than other priests and tend to keep stay out of the public eye in the cities.

M Mul - Dwarf and Human, raised by dwarves Druid 10 | AC 26, Touch 15, FF 24 | HP 110/110+0 temp | F +14, R +9, W +15, +2 vs. disease, Immune to poison | Init +3 | Perception +17, Darkvision

OK. Then Grit is good for now. If he can find something like a belt of strength he would be interested, but does not like the city enough to go wandering around in it to see what is to be had.

Safia wrote:

Ok, we'll say 1 sp per buckle. Let me know how many you want. For the armor, it will be 170 cp. You can leave it at the School of Thought for a week to be enhanced (1,000 cp for +1) or pay an extra 100 cp to have it done in a day.

Nnn'tkklik'l is content with the amount of wandering about we will have to do anyway. It is easier for him to blend in and have no trouble with a half-giant and a mul around.

That said, he will try to trade that emerald for those muleback cords, whenever we happen to swing near the School of the Mind. It isnt an extreme priority for him, but next time he has some personal free time or next time the group passes near the place, he will attempt to go in there.

He would certainly like to do that before departing the city.

*Cracks knuckles*

Bad-ass is much easier.

1) Two arms folded over your chest or clasped behind your back that look like the extra arms of those creatures we fought a few days ago.

2) Stitches around your neck that makes it look like you survived a decapitation.

3) Make the end of a limb, such as from your mid forearm down, that makes it either look skeletal or like it has no skin.

4) Dragon claws reaching around one half of your body that are almost actual size, going from your lower torso to your face.

5) Several small-medium sized tattoos that make it appear as if your skin is peeling off and you're a machine underneath. Inspiration here.

6) One of those "half-face" tattoos.

A facial tattoo would be cool, I assume you mean one like Mike Tyson's for no 6?

Really like that Nightmare Beast (the dog-like one with tusks and spines), would be cool to get the fangs and tusks and such tattooed over her face.

Honestly nothing too specific for the facial tattoo. Perhaps the spinewyrm or some claws or an idea like no 3 that makes that half look skeletal?

I'm sure the outages disrupted folks ability to post over the past couple of days. It sounds like everyone likes the idea of hitting up the templars and moving on outside the walls toward the client village. I don't have darkvision, but everything I'm thinking about summoning does. Let me throw up the buffs before the fight, drop a fireball to start it, then I'll summon something and let it tear 'em up while they're in the dark. That will be four of my best spells so it's most of my contribution.

I am still unsure of what I'm going to summon.
1) Constrictor Snake. Constrict ability is nice.
2) Monitor Lizard. Grab ability almost as good as the snake, but it has a dex damaging poison.
3) Cheetah. Trip and a ridiculous move speed.
4) Aurochs. Best strait up damage per hit.

M Mul - Dwarf and Human, raised by dwarves Druid 10 | AC 26, Touch 15, FF 24 | HP 110/110+0 temp | F +14, R +9, W +15, +2 vs. disease, Immune to poison | Init +3 | Perception +17, Darkvision

Aurochs are large so terrain is a factor. But they can trample, which can hit multiple opponents in a strait line every round. Out in an open area they are great. :)

Female Half Elf Arcanist 9 | AC 14, Touch 14, FF 11 | HP 68/68 | F +7, R +8, W +7 (All +4 vs psionics) | Init +5 | Perc +15

Get them lined up, it'll be hilarious.

Generally it comes down to what you guys need. The snake and lizard are both good at pinning down single targets and removing them from the fight, the cheetah chases and trips to help pin down fleeing foes or foes at a distance, and the aurochs just kills things.

Female Human Oracle 5 | AC 16 Touch 12 FF 14 | HP 38/43 | F +3 R +3 W +5 | Init +6 | Perc +9

Grit, why can't you cast Sirocco yet? That thing would look like it's natural while causing plenty of havoc.

Doesn't summon monster 3 also have Dretches and Lantern Archons to play with as well as the wolverine, which is kinda silly with Augmented Summoning strength boost.
