Padua, Einar and Bernardo
the Prince of Padua is owed your introduction and is... Bothered by your lack of manners. That is my reason for sneaking up. It is your lucky day, however, in that I and others are here to remind you of the task and then let you be on your way to do so. Bernardo finishes his message Einar can tell that the words were rushed a bit and as Bernardo steps back his steps are very fast.

The Gondola trip back to your Haven is uneventful. Though you see some small fire sin the distance and some shouting, it seems that the violence that erupted a few nights ago has been quelled. The Mortals once more satiated with a bit of that bloodlust perhaps.
Entering the front doors the defenses of the Haven are non-existent a side effect of the arrival of the Giovanni and his rather aggressive destruction of all guardians left behind by your Sire.
As you search the large mansion you find no signs of your Sire or of Amrogino. Perhaps they are in the basement?

Before you can reply the Cappadocian Lorenzo Cappelli passes you by. Soon thereafter as you are about to speak the new Brujah Inner Circle member and his Childe pass by.

“I have concerns, but none, I think, that can be addressed in the time we have. We shall meet then on the morrow. “
He looks grimmer
“I will warn you that while we appreciate your offer, we will be wary. Do not think to lure us into a trap. Baldemar here is a doughty veteran and I spent time battling enemies temporal and spiritual in the Holy Lands”

The Gondola ride back to your Haven with your Sire is one filled with happiness for him. He smiles broadly and chuckles often muttering under his breath about something in a language you do not know.
Soon enough the boatman drops you off and Criatas gives him a command to return to the small island of the Prince. Together, arm in arm, you both head inside and upstairs to your room. He proceeds to undress you and place upon you a suitable nightgown. If he seems interested in some sort of dalliance he does not make it obvious.
He does though cut his wrist and asks you to drink deeply of him once more. 3 more Blood Points in your pool. The strong blood tastes immeasurably better than almost anything you have tasted before in your life.
He smiles down at you, "A lesson. There are several Clans that we did not discuss, you must become familiar with them all and their tendencies if you are to aid me in guiding our people to a new enlightened state.
We have discussed Clan Brujah, our Clan. Clan Ventrue, our greatest foes, the rest I have not discussed in depth as there was simply not the time.
Assamites, this Clan is full of some Noble and other not very Noble warriors. I have met several who were scholars or mystics but they seem to stay within the confines of their own territories. Those you meet in the west will be warriors. Their Clan has appeared to become enmeshed with the religion of Mohammad that sprang from nowhere six centuries ago. They can be quite dangerous and quite useful. Better to have them as allies than villains. Lord Bajazet will be elected their leader tomorrow as his opponent fled the city. Giovanni is his Childe and it is he who you shall deal with on a regular basis.
Cappadocians, Lorenzo that you met tonight is the Childe of Lord Benne who is in turn the Childe of the leader of that Clan. They are lickspittles of the Ventrue obsessed with death and dying. No doubt they bring Ventrue who would have otherwise fallen out from the depths of torpor. As fellow scholars we may have had some kinship with them but their relationship with the Ventrue make them hard to trust.
Gangrel, Milov Petrankov is their leader and the one known as Cantor will be your liason. They are masters of the wild and shapeshifters. Their loyalty is to themselves, I am surprised they are even bothering to be here.
Lasombra, if there is a second set of our Cousins who cannot be trusted besides the Ventrue it is the Lasombra. The Prince of this city is a member of that Clan, he has named no Childe to be his liason to the Council for I suspect that he will keep the Council meetings here so that he can retain as much control and power of this Camarilla as he can. Their powers are the stuff that makes shadows come alive. Difficult opponents to deal with though we have had few reasons to attack them directly.
Malkavian, their leadership shall be decided tomorrow night. Of those to select from, I would choose none. There are many I see as worthy but they did not arrive, a pity. Do not look to them for support for they are mad men. IN passing they can make comments that lead to great insight but it is often too late that the meanings behind their ravings become clear.
Nosferatu, a Clan of our cousins that appear as Monsters without but are in my experience, pure of heart. Some can be hideous as their appearance would indicate so beware. It seems that Petradon will speak on their behalf, better than the other who was against him Simon. That one was a religious fanatic whose views were far from those of most Cainites. Onfroi will be his liason and the one you will work closely with. Tonight I shall instruct you in the ways of the sight, Auspex, a powerful tool for ensuring that no Nosferatu are listening into what you say when you are unawares.
Salubri, while the Saracens have the Assamites, the Catholics have the Salubri. Holy warriors and healers, this Clan has decimated itself in rooting out evil, or at least evil as they see it. Their efforts have nearly completely destroyed a small but dangerous bloodline but the cost has been too high. Brian and his Childe Andrew represent this Clan.
Setites, a Clan of bargains and secrets. Somehow they seem to come out the better of any deal made with them, go to them in a position of strength not weakness if needs be. This way you get more from them than they from you. Sadir and his Childe Michele represent this Clan.
Toreador, the Clan of Beauty. The Clan of culture. The Clan that does little else. Do not look to them for aid for all they care of is their own reflection and they would let you burn to save a portrait of themselves. Helene of the Courts of Love and her Childe Victor will represent this Clan's interests.
Tremere, another contested seat. The renegade must lose so that the bulk of the Clan stays within the Camarilla. It would be costly to destroy these wizards to say the least. I have begun negotiations with the one who should win, Fanchon, already. Her Chile is Veronica, I believe you two should get on well. This Clan we should try and keep close to us and away from the Ventrue.
Finally, the Tzimisce. Fleshcrafters and xenophobes. They are territorial like the worst kind of wolf or dog and their power resides in the east. Siding with them will make enemies of the Tremere, Vykos and who knows what will lead them. They will ostracize themselves and can be safely ignored unless you enter their territory.
Have you any questions?"

Your Sire is a master of the Road of Kings. Most of our kind retain Humanity which is formally called a Road though it is no such thing. Chivalry is popular among the High Clans. The Road of the Beast is often followed by the Low Clans. The Road of Heaven is followed by those from both. There are other Roads to trod upon, all take you farther from Humanity if that is your wish. If conflict is what you crave then the Road of Kings or a derivative of is one which would perhaps suit your purpose. Assamites, Brujah, and Ventrue are the most warlike among us".

Maria fights the urge to shudder in delight as Lord Criatas shares more of his blood with her.
When the two of them return to their room, she willingly changes from the dress into the white silk nightgown, feeling only momentarily exposed as her sire undresses her.
...does he want to take this further?
Her train of thought is interrupted when Criatas begins to speak of the other vampire clans. She pays close attention, sitting on the bed and folding her hands in her lap.
The news of the Assamites being part of the religion of Mohammed causes an unwelcome crawling sensation to go up her spine.
They follow the foes of the Church?! ...well... perhaps I should no longer be so quick to judge. I am perhaps in the flimsiest of glass houses now.
...Cappadocians--I don't know, that Lorenzo seemed to be a decent enough man...
...Gangrel. Wild men. Alright.
...Lasombra. They can make the shadows come to life?! How?
...Malkavian... if they truly are as mad as he claims, theirs is a wretched lot indeed.
...Nosferatu... an irony indeed, if their monstrous visages do not reflect wickedness in their souls.
...Salubri... The mention of the trials of clan of healers causes her expression to turn somber. ...I wonder if the Church would ever accept them...
...Setites... Another uncomfortable sensation crawls up her spine.
...Toreador... I do not believe I have met enough yet to form a proper opinion.
...Tremere... She tilts her head to the side. ...wizards? Surely that is but an exaggeration...
Tzimisce-- The mention of fleshcrafting causes her eyes to widen. --why am I so certain I don't want to know what that really is?
"A question, sire." Maria says at the end of the lesson. "Why do you say that this... Veronica, and I would get along? I do not believe I met anyone by that name tonight."

Giving his Sire a moment to contemplate, he continues. "The Brujah vote went as we had hoped. Lord Criatas has earned the seat, although there was a bit of drama as Leeland's own Childe chose to vocally support Lord Criatas."
"After the close of formalities, Lutz of clan Malkavian approached me in attempt to gain support. I am not ashamed to tell you, my Sire, that I have little desire to spend much time at all with their sort."
Having given his report, Lorenzo asks a few questions of his own. By the fact that the two of you are down here working together, I trust an appropriate arrangement has been made?"

Ambrogino has long sought to commit Amaranth upon our guest Yeti Samedi. He was prevented from doing so by Augustus. Now that I am Master of the House I have agreed to the arrangement.
In exchange for that right, Ambrogino has agreed to teach me a particular path of Necromancy that I have long sought after. He will also bring your Brother across as a member of Clan Cappadocian of the House of Giovanni. While it is clear that your Brother has no affinity for the arcane, his mental state will be greatly enhanced by becoming one of us. He can be taught Disciplines that agree with his... temperament. "Yes, your Christian morality would have led to such a belief as did mine.
Fascinating? Yes, perhaps it was but remember Simon was a Cainite since before the birth of Our Lord, he claims to have even met Jesus Christ and become an Apostle, as one of us! A little known secret about him. I believe that is where his conversion to the Path of Golconda began. So in a way one could argue that his Mentor was Our Lord himself.
You are correct though, any who knew of his Path would have have wished to see harm come to him if not the Final Death. He is a living, well unliving, representation of the mercy of our Lord. Of Redemption. His very existence is a foil to the beliefs of many adherents of other Roads. To believe that he has achieved that would undermine their beliefs to their very core.
He claims that drinking from the cup of Christ is what led to his unique... ah... abilities. There is an organization that he was affiliated with that had members that also drank from the cup. He even hinted that the organization, still in existence, has possession of the Grail but that to gain access you must seek the only member of the Order that walks among us. I never did have the courage to seek that Cainite out".

Lord Benne gives a slight nod, "An excellent point my Childe, your astute observations continue.
Your Brother is not a scholar. Our Clan purged those who were not scholars during the Feast of Folly centuries ago. The Progenitor made it quite clear that only those who would pursue the true passion of our Clan would be accepted into our ranks.
Then the Giovanni were brought into the fold.
While powerful Necromancers, the family are also master bankers. Their banking prowess allow us to divorce ourselves from what became a reliance on Clan Ventrue in day to day matters of the temporal Mortal world. Imagine if you will songs about the Messiah's forgiveness constructed, not to challenge the pope's decree directly, but strongly hinting that the only thing that can sever a mortal from God's love is that mortal himself. It is not as if we can be excommunicated again, is it? That is … part one. For part two, well, a monument of sorts is required. A place where something is precious is stored... And here is where your own Clan's connections to the Church, and the Toreador gifts would be ideal." A pause, "Forgive me, but what I am offering could aid all the city. While it is in my own interest to do so, and my pleasure, having seen the masters class in politics and intrigues that goes on- matters I am only mildly interested in I admit- I am somewhat skittish that I face a situation where I might receive none of the credit, but all of the blame. "In that case my dear, this is my Childe Victor. He would be happy to show you more of the city after this Conclave has come to and end. It is good to have friends yes?
You are correct. The Brujah, especially a thug such as Leeland, display an abundant lack of manner or etiquette and they certainly have little respect for proper protocol. Well, the Elders still abide by rules of decorum. But their debates, what passes for Court among their kind, are less fun than watching paint dry, quite literally as I have watched many a Master artisans' paint dry. This is of course the reason why the only choice among the Brujah was Criatas the Elder.
Those who have been brought up properly can do well in Court, at least until their emotions take them away. Many are the Brujah Knight that I have wooed and then discarded for their lack of self-control. A pity for their passion makes them such interesting and engaging lovers.
Leeland was only able to get away with that because his Childe had yet to be released. Until release, a Fledgling is technically a mere extension of their Sire and can be destroyed by their Sire for, well for any reason really. Narses could no more punish Leeland for his outburst than he could for Leeland cutting off his own finger. Crude yes. Unseemly, yes. But a violation of the Traditions? No.
Certainly his own vote going to Criatas meant that he knew the only vote Leeland was likely to even get he lost. He also knew that he would be a wanted Cainite, and soon so why not one more disrespectful display in front of his betters? This is the lack of judgment that he and his rabble will no doubt always be guided by.
I can only hope that our Camarilla will bring civility back to the Long Night. I am so glad that you agree!"

Lorenzo nods.
"Indeed a gesture of good faith." he says waiting for Ambrogino to produce Lydia.
Lorenzo's eyes widen at the spectacle that is the Giovanni's ritual to open a door into the underworld. "Fascinating..." he says, obviously awed by scene.
After being handed Lydia's frozen form, Lorenzo glances toward Lord Benne before removing the stake, to get the elder's approval for the action.
Assuming Lord Benne doesn't stop him from doing so, Lorenzo will remove the stake.

Prince Narses Court - Michele Querini
"This is quite fascinating that he being that old and to of walked with Christ. He must of been powerful even though he was at peace. So I must think a while on this to see who that has attended the current gatherings to see who would benefit most from his disappearance and start there. This organization with the cup who is it and who is that Cainite?
How am I to seek you out when I need to confer with you?"

Prince Narses Court Another Room on the Second Floor - Ranerius Bernerius
"I have not the talent, contacts, nor inclination to deal with you unfairly in this Mr. Bernerius.
Proceed but know that the power that you propose to wield could make you very useful or very dangerous to the Prince".
"Noted, and like a good composer I know better than to anger the Patron as I try to forge a work of song, so to speak. The bolder stroke to go with the music is a monument, and within that monument, a saint's bones or ashes. Something the common man, in his ignorance, might gain comfort from just brushing his hand against. We should make both of these works of art, the song should be uplifting, soul stirring, and the monument or art where the ashes or bone with in were closed? Oh it should bespeak of a humble majesty.I have an idea on who might best aid us from other clans, so this 'power' would be shared in no small part. This is not intended as a rude, but a gentle guide to providing hope. Songs planting the seeds, and a building or monument to give a more tactile focus to help others believe. Not so much as a ruse, but a gentle guide to contemplating that thin but strong strand of hope for it is possible and they would be interested in the same. It may help curb the despair that fuels riots so dangerous to us all. " A pause, "if the Prince agrees, then perhaps he might also wish to make sure that the area, say whatever block it is on, in question be off limits for a hunting ground. Let the people feel safe there, because they would be...from us at least."

You remove the stake and Lydia sucks in a breath and gets to her feet quickly, she throws a vicious glare at Ambrogino. Lord Benne places his hands up, "Peace my dear".
She continues to glare but responds, "Yes Lord Benne".
He turns to you, "Take Lydia upstairts to freshen up, tomorrow evening you will aid her in hunting my Childe. You will also speak then with your Brother about this proposal. That is all".
Ambrogino looks about as thrilled about this situation as Lydia does having given up a bargaining chip with no guarantee of success but he states nothing further.
Your night too is over unless you wish to interact further with Lydia. Take 1 XP.
