Alla Vigna Inn - Vitaliano da Riva
Vitaliano stands by watching the interaction and gaining a bit of surprising information in the process. It seems that Lutz was his brother then...if one would call another Childe of the same Sire such.
When it reached the point of physical altercation, he made a mental note but quickly stepped forwards. "ENOUGH INDEED. Both of you, remember your place. We are currently in a city that has gotten to the point of rioting and civil disobedience. NOT to mention that we are currently under scrutiny of all the other clans and the Prince of this city. Violence is prohibited unless you'd wish to be dead once more." he said rather angrily. The nerve of them, even if they were older and one his Sire to wake him in such an uncouth manner.
Manipulate+Intimidate?: 3d10 + 0d10 ⇒ (8, 3, 6) + (-) = 17
I was pretty sure on Manipulate on this one...and fairly sure it's intimidate as well....but I don't know if anything else would apply or even if I could use Dominate on at least Lutz (I'm almost certain I can't even on Lutz).
Vitaliano throws his hands up exasperatedly and starts to storm off away from them "As if I should expect some civility amongst my peers. The nerve of people waking someone to such nonsense. If I could cleanse the entire human population from this city right now I would..." he said, his voice trailing off a bit as he stomped away and down the stairs yelling all the while and continuing in suite for some time longer.

Robin grins, "I know right! Do not worry my Childe, this is the best way. You are a man of fine pedigree and upbringing. Act as you would at any business meeting with a prospective hostile client and you will do well. You will learn much more through observation than you ever would through listening to me drone on about what to do..."
As you and Robin step outside, the streets are in Chaos. Robin turns to you, "This night just got more exciting eh?! Do you know where the nearest Gondola station may be?"

Simon sighs, "I am not and was not Simon the Zealot. I was another, a Pharisee whom Jesus tried to convert, it was not until I saw him there that my conversion came into full bloom, what I have shown you..."
You see another Cainite stalk up behind Simon and attempt to plunge a stake into his back!
You see his face as the stake breaks on Simon's back. It is his own Childe Cristiano Lintini.
Simon turns on him and his eyes flare white, "How dare you!"
You see Cristiano if forced to take three steps backwards the light flares so brightly. While you do not feel compelled back, you know that you cannot possibly step forward to face him in melee, this power he possesses is something altogether different than you have ever witnessed from a Cainite before.
Now what?

Mistress Fanchon shakes her head in the negative, "No, you shall come with me to the Conclave. There you will work your charms on the Cainites I mentioned, in the order I mentioned. I shall point them out to you once they arrive and prompt you when the correct time to approach will be. Have you any final questions before we set out for your first introduction?"
The First Tradition: The Covenant. Those closest to Caine must rule as we are possessed of the most power and wisdom. It is through us that the rest shall prosper. In exchange, those closest to Caine offer their protection to those who dwell within their Domain. My words of acceptance to you are a sacred bond between us their meaning shaped through the millennia to what was presented to you this night. To obey me is to uphold The Covenant between us both.
The Second Tradition: The Domain. This city is my City, I protect and nurture it by enforcing its laws, the laws laid down by Caine. Those who would seek refuge in my Domain will submit to my will. I shall dictate who shall feed and where they shall feed to ensure that our flock is not thinned and stays vibrant. You shall pay respect to me and to those who I allow to dwell within my Domain. Those who are not welcome are to be brought before me, such is the duty of all who dwell here.
The Third Tradition: Progeny. As the eldest in the Domain only I have the wisdom to understand whether the flock has grown sufficiently enough to sustain more of our Brothers and Sisters. Thus, you may not Sire another without my permission. To do so will bring the penalty of Final Death for you and said Childe.
The Fourth Tradition: The Accounting. Those who Sire take on a great burden. For the actions of the Childe reflect upon the Sire. Your successes are this success and your failures are his failures. Your Sire is to instruct you in the proper rules of etiquette. He is also the first to enforce the Traditions. You answer to him as you would answer to me for your sins are his to bear as well. Once he releases you, then shall your actions reflect upon you and you alone.
The Fifth Tradition: Destruction. As a Christian you understand well the laws of Moses, thou shalt not kill thine elder. Neither shall you spill the blood of another of our kind unless forced to do so to defend your own existence. Those who seek to harm you shall suffer my wrath. If a Cainite is to be destroyed, it shall fall upon me to decide and no others.
The Sixth Tradition: The Silence Of Blood. You shall never reveal your nature to those not of the Blood, by so doing, you renounce your claims to yours. At all times you must retain control of yourself in front of mortals with the exception of those for whom you have decided to take sustenance. Then only through death or deception shall you claim the sustenance you need. Many of our kind have mortal servants despite this restriction, it is up to your Sire to decide how and when you may take such servants under your guidance.

He mounts up and shakes his head in the negative, "No, Christol and I have one more night to attend our meeting and then we too will be leaving, I believe we did some good here but this city is falling to chaos, you should come with my men to see the Grandmaster..."
Lord Jurgen sees you and pauses, "Greetings Sir, can we help you?"
Baldemar turns to you a dark look on his face, "That is my newest acquaintance Lord Jurgen, he has come to see me. By all means if you and yours must go, then go. I shall be staying. If you hear word of Sir Martin do let me know, I am worried for his safety traveling so far with such grievous injuries..."

Ranerius Bernerius |

La Serenata Notturna – Ranerius Banerius
The assembled Cainites grin at Ranerius' quip about Helene.
"Nonesense" replies Rafael to Ranerius' modesty, "Show us what you have and we shall judge you".
I have scored points with my jibe against Helene, I would fear her vengeance but it is possibly coming anyway. No, it is Rafael who now hopes to humble me. To show me as having no talent and thus no place in the Toreador. He mentions not who put this idea to him. Others are more talented than I, it is true. I have ever been prouder of the talent I have drawn here as a patron than my own... but I have been thinking of little else but this challenge and mayhaps, even if I stumble in the delivery, they will hear the message.
"As a matter of fact, there is one I was hoping to run by my Sire..." He confides, "I had not thought it ready yet for use, but before such esteemed talent as my sire...and others," He says gesturing respectfully, "... I fear I shall be as be as an apprentice baker taking base rolls before a master chef. Still, let us see if the bread is done yet, or if I should have left in the oven a little longer."
Ranerius clears his throat, and invokes the poem he had been working on since he heard of this abrupt challenge. The Italian it is spoken is is modern, a deliberate choice given the subject matter. His voice is rich and deep.
"I dreamed of a nymph
And she was as fair, as fair as the moon in a glade
And other men gathered to watch the nymph dance
And her skin was silver where the starlight kissed it
And her hair like raven wings
And my eyes were that of a pagan's
Others too, had gathered
To worship her
Cold blood remembering an echo of heat
"She should be shown to the world" all agreed
But then each sought to reach and grab
One yanked at her arm
And her steps faltered
Another grabbed for her waist
And her movement stilled
Her heathen hearted worshipers
Now gazed upon their rivals
Sharp smiles that cut
Tongues that trapped
The circle of adoration twisted into a barbed wheel
Only one called out a warning
That the beauty had been oer shadowed
Admirers turn to savages
Cunning but cruel
Did feast upon each other's pride
And gloat at every bite.
And when the feast was done
The victors gazed upon the prize
But the nymph lay dead and broken under their weight
A dream now brutalized."
Will definitely be spending a WP point on this one. Yikes. Charisma (Charming) plus Expression Plus Performance? If so...
4d10 + 2d10 + 2d10 ⇒ (10, 4, 10, 2) + (10, 5) + (7, 10) = 58
And hopefully a bonus for homework. The player is not a Toreador, but hopefully it would sound better in 14th Century Italian ;)
Edit: Don't know if I get two extra dice for the 2 tens in the charisma (Charming) portion or not.

You are able to circumvent the mobs and bring both yourself and tour Sire to a boatman unmolested. Robin nods, "Well done my Childe well done indeed".
It seems the citizenry is not outraged with their boatmen as they have not disturbed this one. By the look of him he is a bit bored. He perks up when you both get on board.
Robin tell him, "To the Secret Council". The men's eyes glaze over a bit and he begins to row as if by rote off in whatever direction Robin led him.
The ride on the gondola is one of the oddest you have had. Around you the city is involved in screaming matches some small fires are lit to buildings prompting a look of concern from Robin and a queasy feeling in your stomach as well even though it far and you are on the water.
You even witness a duel upon one bridge!
Soon enough the boatman heads to a section of the city you have never been to by boat, the ways are through areas most merchants and nobles would deem dangerous and not lucrative. Once you pass by a few run down buildings which appear empty, strange in the heart of the city like this... you see a small island as it were. A dock is attached one of the largest you have seen not on the lagoon near the sea proper. On the island is a mixture of ruined cobblestones, ill kempt grass and a building that appears in disrepair.
A few Gondolas and boatmen stand on the docks already and several people mill about in front of the doors to this building. In stark contrast to the run down building looming before them, they are all dressed in finery even from this distance you can see is worth a great deal.
Robin turns back to you, "The Ventrue have mostly arrived, I suppose I should not be surprised..."

He hoped this wasn't a ploy to give them a chance to be more unruly and bother the younger vampire. He sighed, let his hand fall from the door and made sure his attire was in proper shape before coming back up calmly. As you head down the stairs to greet Vykos you notice two other Cainites approach his table. Both members of the Clan Follower of Set, Sadir and his Childe, Michele Querini
Vykos looks up at you, keeping his voice low in shared Mortal company, "I have come here to threaten Signore' Sadir and his pup within a few inches of their unlives. I appreciate your hospitality good Renerius. For now I desire to be left alone with my old friend and whatever knowledge he deems fit to impart to me for he would be wise indeed not to further incur my wrath".

Geoffroi gives a Gallic shrug
"Things are still unsettled, but not as bad as they were prior. I believe that we could travel in relative safety as long as we hid any obvious siguls of allegiance and perhaps kept our cloaks wrapped tight as we went."
He looks at his friend
"I understand if the demands of your order make you unable to assist me. Do not feel obligated. I will continue on by myself if you are needed by your brothers."

La Serenata Notturna – Ranerius Banerius & Michele Querini
As you take your leave Ranerius, the Elders and the Fledgling, but more the Elders with Bassanio listening attentively, begin to speak about Salons and the desire to bring one right here to Venice.
Sadir sits and motions to Michele to do so as well, he too keeps his voice to a whisper "By all means Vykos, I would be interested in what seems to be the trouble you are having with me... If your Mortals are dying it is because you are mistreating them they were all healthy when they arrived".
** spoiler omitted **
At that moment one of the Mortals at the bar turns and stares at Michele his mouth agape.
Michele, it is Gino, your cousin's friend, you remember, the one that rented your home to the Volkov's and their retainers...
"Ah," He says softly in response, "I trust to your discretion around our regular clientle. Should you wish a private conference room, it can be arranged."
They must be careful lest they destroy the veil of secrecy at this place.
He nods to the setitites, "I trust all will well for you as well, gentlemen."
Troubled, he makes a note of the curious mortal, hoping the man did not overhear too much, "If none of you have need of attention, I shall leave you to your discussion of dramas and tragedies" As if they were discussing plays.

The Blue Mongoose - [oocPiero de Luca[/ooc]
"A pleasure, Nicolo! To your health."
Piero inclines his head and takes a modest drink from his glass.
"To be frank, I am...not entirely sure myself. But I am newly come to this city, and it is in the time of greatest chaos that we may find the greatest opportunity. The aftermath of everything that has occurred will be felt for years to come, and those of us with the cunning to find a path through might find ourselves richly rewarded. I was told there was a man that I could meet, that might wish business with such an enterprising individual as myself. I thought that, despite the risk, I must meet with this person, because who does fortune favor if not the bold? The great become great by risking all, I say! So I suppose that I am here to see what I might gain by my boldness."

Onfroi |

favor for the bold
Onfroi shakes his head saying already having you here complicates things as no one wants a witness to these actions. We shall not invite anyone else. As to the blood I am not immune to its lure or reward. You and I are now sworn to a brotherhood and secret that may never be known but to us. Your distraction allowed me another shot so we are both of us worthy. Flip a coin?

The Masoleum – Lorenzo Cappelli
Lorenzo allows himself a small half-smile. "I do not know if I would call it a breakthrough, Yeti, but through your tutelage, I believe I have a firm grasp on the first step of the Path of the Cenotaph."
"A Touch of Death, I believe you called it?" Lorenzo asks, simply confirming his understanding more than anything. "Obviously, there is a great deal more for me to learn, and if nothing else, I have always been an eager student."
"As to a breakthrough with my other studies, sadly my efforts have been lacking as of late with all of this conclave business." With a small laugh he adds, "But I suppose time is a luxury that I have now."

Yes Xing DC 7 for kick, and yes Strength +1 damage. You may want to pump some blood into your stats to mop this one up next round... :-)

La Serenata Notturna – Ranerius Banerius & Michele Querini
Michele will follow Sadir and take a seat. He will listen intently.
When he sees Gino I quickly turn to Sadir, Can their be a worse time. That mortal is my cousins friend. The one who rented my room out to Vykos and his crew.

Storyteller Shadow |

Can i pump strength and take action in same round?
Yes, pumping blood us a "free" action. I think you can expend 5 blood per turn at your Generation.
