Hotel Danieli – Edwarde Ashedown
You awake with a start wondering if the last night was a dream or something…. no it was no dream. Seated near you observing you is Robin. ”Evening Edwarde. Let’s pay another visit to the Khadaji residence shall we? I think we should get that contract of yours finalized with Alessandro and his Sire Alyssa. Thereafter, I shall introduce you to Cainite society. You are probably never ready yet but much like when you have a child, no one is ever ready, you just need to jump into it both feet first”.
"Is that wise, mortal children are normally half-way to adulthood before being introduced to an important court. I can't help but feel that this is similar, but with far greater risks."

La Serenata Notturna – Ranerius Banerius
Your wife shakes you gently wakening you, ”Husband. I waited as long as I could to wake you. The city it is in panic in a way I have never seen. The Pope has taken action and the people will now suffer for the Doge’s folly…”
The news hits Ranerius hard. Irony of Ironies, I struggle with questions of damnation because of my Cainite condition, only to find it is politics that has truly condemned me to hell. There's a lesson in this, or worse, an omen, While he fears for his soul more than ever, fear is not what his wife needs.
Not what any here relying on him need, "The city will be in a panic, crimes may rise, there may even be a revolt and who knows how that will go. We must make preparations to steel this place against the worst. We must see to our food stores and water supply, we should see to security, not just our usual. And we must keep the peace locally and calm all we can."
"Have the usual flower beds dispense with the flowers and use them for small crops instead that go a long way for their limited quantity. Let us take stock of which of our staff are fleeing the city, and which ones wish to stay here no matter what. Is Sirus Terzago below? he's a guardsman, and I consider him an ally. He can update us as to the situation, and perhaps I can arrange for extra security through him" And it maybe I shall have to take on another ghoul. "Perhaps we can offer sanctuary to some of his own family or the like."
"Tonight, I was supposed to have guests. For a poetry reading. Clearly, they may have changed their minds. I had also hoped to seek someone out...complexities abound, but first things first, my wife. I will see to your safety and the safety of La Serenata Notturna. Your beauty intoxicates me, but I love for more than that. Advise, as a wife should, and I will consider your wisdoms." While he is the head of the household, Ranerius is truly fond of his wife and young while she might be, she has insights into the crowds of day.
After she answers, he considers her words as he said he would, but for now he still wishes his orders about gardening, well water being protected, and more to be heeded.
Intelligence plus Senscheal to consider how best to weather this in case he's forgotten anything?
If so, 6d10 ⇒ (10, 1, 1, 3, 1, 1) = 17
Yuck. I'll just have to hope what he's already thought of is enough.
Ranerius later goes down into the main room attempts to access those crowds, ready if need be, to give a calming speech.

San Cassiano Residenza d'Epoca Ca' Favretto – Michele Querini
"Agreed but are we safe to mive abiut with this unrest? I wonder what has happened.
Before we go several important things came to light. After we left Gunther's Xing was close by and then Vykos showed up. He asked us what we were doing there by Gunther's and his place of business. I was able to explain to him how I wanted Gunther to run an establishment for me. He believed me but noted something seemed off. Xing on the other hand was "forced" it seems to tell the truth. Xing is looking for some papers that Bagrat has that contain lore or history of our kind. Vykos was going to seek him out. Lastly Vykos wanted me to set up a meeting with you and him tonighr before the conclave at the La Serenata Notturna Inn.
I will give some pause then start up again.
then at the conclave I gave my opinion that every clan be represented by a group that will enforce the laws. Lanzo was mot thrilled with it and we made some remarks back and forth with eachother. He was not pleased. I can give you more detail later.
Then an Elder of Clan Gangrel. A descendant of the Sumerian Enkidu, referred to by some as "the Noah", showed up with another who was Erik Longtooth, a descendant of the Gangrel Warlord who calls himself Odin or the All High. They had some words with Narses who did not grant them or the newly created childer santuary. Durga Syn made a comment that "It seems that even the Gangrel take this matter seriously, more seriously than one would have expected them to...". Then she took the childer under her wing.
Something ocurred with the assamite child and her sire and Narses took away there santuary because of his outburst.
Khay'tall was there and we engaged in small talk as he was asking where you where. Fearing i would betray us unwittingly I asked him why he was here and he said.
Knowledge dear Michele knowledge. I could drown a small village in the amount of coin I have amassed over the length of my existence. True decadence needs no wealth.
Perhaps you will learn that soon enough. I wonder though, will the tired old Clan of Serpents be doomed to repeat history? With your Sires' failure to capture Fahdi will he be the Judged pariah now and you the wayward Childe set to pursue his powerful and elusive Sire? After all, that is what happened to Fahdi and his Sire when she failed, one wonders whatever did happen to Lady Amisa..."
"Ah Lady Amisa, a twisted demented soul. Or so I was told by others who knew her. Before she was ever born I was already the Serpent of Eden, I never had the chance to meet her in person. She perhaps should have been embraced Cappadocian her obsession with death was so strong.
It was her task to infiltrate the information Network of the Nosferatu Clan, she was a promising Serpent as I understand it having never failed in her duties before. So trusted was she that the Mark of Set himself was granted to her. She schemed to Embrace one who would take that Mark and infiltrate the Clan. Her choice to do so was your Childe, Faadi.
He and she, failed spectacularly. Her own Sire, Count Jocalo, was so embarrassed by the incident that he buried her alive somewhere in the sands beneath or near the Fire Courts. Ironic I think that Fahdi brought her in and then so recently after failed in his own assigned task making him the marked one..."
He then spoke of another of our clan coming to the city- he didnot tell me who. I asked for what reason and he said.
"To see me of course, she and I are old friends" "I shall be off now Fledgling, I am sure I will see you tomorrow evening and hopefully your Sire as well". Then he left.
I returned here and fed until fully sated waiting yoyr return.
Apologies for giving you all this information so quickly but it seemed all to important.

I agree with you, the Prince does use me as I use him. Where once there were nightly blood feasts, now they are banned. I have saved at least forty souls by "converting" the Prince so and countless more as the nights of this Conclave wear on.
Reforming his image may lead others down the path of the righteousness. I know he is a lost cause but while he is here using him as a positive rather than a negative role model for the younger Cainites is wise is it not?
A source eh? What source? The Childe is mine and a Miracle, it proves that my Faith has been rewarded, that those of my Clan can come into the light once more. Cristiano will be the first among us, the leader of our Clan, our face if you will.
Again you are mistaken, you did not slaughter those women and children to satisfy God, you did so because a man you respected and believed spoke for God told you to do so. Once there you were force by necessity to do so. But think upon Jesus' lessons, did he once speak of killing for honor or for glory? Did he not say to turn the cheek and then the other cheek when an enemy would strike at you.
It is your own guilt you must face Onfroi, God has not abandoned you but you have abandoned God. I can aid you to heal your wounded spirit Onfroi".
His body begins to glow with a white light ever so subtly, "Come, put down you weapon, open your mind to me and I shall show you the Glory of Jesus the Christ. If what I show you fails to move you then by all means pick it back up and attempt to slay me, I shan't slay you my lost Childe..."

Still, your lack of Faith disturbs me, I would rectify it..."
The soft white light becomes a bright glow enveloping you!
You blink and open your eyes. You stand on a hillside, cries of anguish echo around you. You recognize the location. Golgotha, you made a pilgrimage here when still Mortal. You look down and find yourself wearing poor monk's robes and worn sandals on your feet, which are worse for the wear.
As you look around you realize that this is no illusion. It is as if you have stepped into the memory of Simon, you do not know how you know but you know this is the case.
You turn and see a handful of soldiers nailing a man to a cross. It is still on the ground, the man stifles a cry. You are not very close, perhaps a hundred feet away. There is a small crowd here, smaller than you would expect for an execution of this type. The garb of those who nail him so is odd, something out of ancient Rome.
Finally they plant the crucifix and raise it between two men who were already hanging and suffering. The wind whips and dust clouds your vision, when you blink it away you can see clearly the face of a dark skinned man, not terribly dark but certainly a middle eastern man. His face though and his hair, their look is unmistakable... You stare at the man many consider the Son of God, Jesus of Nazareth and he is being crucified.

"Come, let us visit Vasatanesa. It seems she has discovered that something very interesting will be taking place tonight, two interesting things if the plans of a certain Methuselah are thwarted..."
I assume you follow?

La Serenata Notturna – Ranerius Banerius
The Mortals give a toast to your speech and all vow to stay and protect their favorite Inn through these dark times.
Francois looks at the Mortals in the Inn frowning, "Come my friends, let us retire upstairs to more private accommodations". He and Violetta stand up and head upstairs with Rafael and Bassanio in tow.
Rafael replies to you once you secure a private room, "Truly, if Helena cannot protect herself from rabble then she has no business leading us. Still, this many mortals enraged is one of the few true threats to us. That is why the Silence of the Blood is so primary to our continued existence. It is the most important of all the Traditions and why the Furores must be brought to heel..."
Francois does not take the bait on any of what Rafael says, "Why are you here? To offer something to me after the insults you have directed my way for the past several; nights?"
Rafael smiles, "No, I am here for the reason why we were all created to listen to and appreciate fine works of Art... Your Fledgling as I understand it, is quite the poet!"
The private room secured is spacious enough for all, yet not so much as to lose all sense of intimacy.
"I've no doubt Helena can handle anything but differing opinions," Wryly, "Forgive me, that was unkind of me."At mention of his skill
"Someone boasts of me too much, I think," He says humbly, "I dabble. But who may I ask told you of my poetry in such glowing terms? " He has been scratching together some attempts since he heard of this, at least in his head, but he knows he is more a patron of the arts, than a practitioner. "I fear they set the bar higher than the reality."

The Masoleum – Lorenzo Cappelli
"As you see fit, Lord Benne." Lorenzo responds.
Heading back toward his chambers, Lorenzo asks Yeti to wait behind for a few moment so that he may calm Dominic.
Arriving back at his chambers, Lorenzo instructs his brother. "Dominic, we will remain here. Do not leave the masoleum, we are perfectly safe here. I will not hear any argument on the matter, is that understood?"
