the veil was neatly hidden inside sir Cudjet the last I heard. Enosh identified the veil and notified the rest that to use it you probably need to detach the patches. There's a lockpicking tool in there. While our halfling will use the lockpicks to break out of his manacles, Khara will try to use black rat femur bones to pick the lockes of her manacles.

Khara has the Veil and , 1d2 ⇒ 2, because of her cat's curiosity has gotten the best of her, starts tugging at the patch that looks like lock picks.

Khara now has an array of picks and tools in her paws. Quite a few in fact.

Since Khara mentioned you having the lock picks I will assume she carefully passed them to you, 1d2 ⇒ 2 but made one attempt with them before she did.

She rolled a 19 above, -2 for having her hands manacled but +2 for having masterwork tools, for a total of 19. Sorry that's not enough. And yes that counts as a failure.

Do the guards hear anything?

Can you normally assist in Disable Device?

There are enough picks but for her to assist she and you would have to be completely free.

i think you can assit on disable. The issue is when you are dealing with magic traps, if you dont have trap fidning you can't aid because you are not able to disable magic traps. This is just opening locks.

Looking up aid another I could not get a assist on disable to make a DC I couldn't make without the assist. Exp If I needed a DC 30 and the most I could get without a assist is DC 28 then a assist would not help me make the DC 30, but if I could make a DC 30 without a assist then a person could assist me to try and make it easier to suceed.

The locks a fairly similar to each other and simple, unless you roll a Nat 1 you will not break a pick.

And because that's a Nat 20 on your very first roll I'll give you a choice.

You can either say you just freed both your hands with that one attempt and have a +2 to opening the other manacle locks.

Or you have a +3 to opening all the manacles but have only one hand free.

A reminder

The cell

You are in is approximately 30' long by by 15' wide. The north and west wall is made of solid stone while the south and east walls open up into part of a much larger stone bunker. Each of the cells is separated from each other by massive three inch thick steel bars that are spaced too narrow for even a halfling to slide through. Through the southern bars that separate your cell from the rest of the stone bunker you can make out four other currently unoccupied prison cells as well as one stone reinforced cell that is next to you. There is a single cell door on the southern end of your cell that opened up into a wide hallway that connects all of the other prison cells as well as a door on the south end of the stone bunker.

Each of your hands are chained to a set of manacles set into the wall, while a single chain runs the length of the 30' prison cell that connects to each set of the manacles that have been placed on your feet. The feet manacles allow you to slowly shift about, and if everyone worked together you could all stand. This would allow you limited use of your hands. Enough for eating, and perhaps passing an object like a food bowl from hand to hand.

You are chained in a rough semi circle or '[' in this order, clockwise from the bottom going back up.

Anastasia Delphine by the south corner of the room, right by the door, then Enosh, Smoak in the center of the room with Khara Thrust, followed by an empty spot, then finally Greyfield on the north corner of the cell next to the door again.
