Oskar Hietamäki |

Hello, Uni decided to destroy me for a week. On the upside, I now have a passingly good knowledge of Python.
Oskar moves round the pillar until he is up against the side of the huge statue and through the gap between them takes another shot at the robot suit.
Move to AR48 and attack Mjollnir 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 162d8 ⇒ (5, 8) = 13

Gregori Mikonavich |

"YOU WILL NOT BE IGNORING GREGORI WHILE HE BEAT YOU TO DEATH WITH YOUR OWN SHRIVLED GENITALS!"
Clearly enraged Gregori charges the machine and attempts once more to smash it to bits.
[ooc]I have no idea whether or not I'm even doing anything with this but...[ooc]
Charge
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17Power attack!
1d6 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Major Cornelius von Gilding |

Alarmed by the *Clong* - the driver moves the joystick up and spots Gregori hacking at the machine's legs. An evil smile splits the driver's face. He remembers this one moment, when he missed the penalty back in school against the Russian exchange student and everyone laughed at him...
He quickly presses some control buttons and the machine's right leg swings back and is catapulted forward a jiffy later
Mjollnir attacking Gregori/Penalty Kick1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Damage2d10 + 2 ⇒ (8, 7) + 2 = 17
Gregori is hit hard and flies through the air until he hits the far wall of the room.
The Major's eyes follow the flying Russian
Oh...ouch...

Phillip Hargreaves |

After a final deep breath, Phil pulls the pin and moves out from behind his hiding spot. Seeking a handy crevice to stuff the tailored explosive into.. a knee joint if he must, though preferably the left hip joint. Leaping towards the fray, he jams the 808 into place and releases the handle trigger from the jury-rigged grenade.
Yelling "Clear out mates!" as he drops back to the floor with his head covered.
Move to AT,46
Attack roll to place: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Modified explosive damage: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 3, 3) = 14 with DC 18 reflex for half
Then drop prone
Fingers cross that's enough to blow the bugger's leg clean off...
Major - I'm assuming that the two rounds prep time will mean that I don't need to roll for splash damage on myself?

Major Cornelius von Gilding |

That's right
The driver doesn't even notice when Phillip places the grenade. Just at the moment the machine turns and the gatlings are about to whirl again, there is an ear-deafening *boom*! For a short moment the robot tumbles, then nearly regains its balance on one leg, but then lands in the sand with a crashing sound. The glass cpasule breaks and the driver is spilled out. Heavily wounded the man lies in front of the large statue of Anubis.

Ivan Li |

-Ivan rises, obviously in pain, and charges the downed officer, trying to put him in a restraining hold (Officer is unarmed as I recall
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13Attack
Ivan attemps to armbar the officer. He graps the officer's arm, and wraps his legs around his neck, trying to cut off his air supply by pressing his shin into the man's neck
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21grapple check

Phillip Hargreaves |

After the flash and bang show, Phil keeps his head down for a few moments as he is showered in a spray of steam and oil from the downed Mjollnir. Raising himself to a kneeling position he takes off his slouch hat and looks over to where Gregori is crumpled against the wall.
There is a grin wider than a cheshire cat on his mug and Phillip appears to be giggling inanely like an overexcited schoolgirl.
Phil has a +11 to Repair, and could potentially take 20 for a result of 31.
Also have Knowledge (Military, Physical Sciences, Technology) at +10 or better.
Failing that, I assume the beast was run on steam power? - but the joints and such were run on hydraulics? - if so, could I look at salvaging some pistons, high pressure hose and swivel joints?

Major Cornelius von Gilding |

Ivan easily overpowers the officer, who is badly wounded and not a very stroing person anyway. He moans and yelps as Ivan secures his hold.
Very good, Mr. Ivan, don't let him run anywhere, but don't kill him before we know who he is.
Phillip has meanwhile started to inspect the smoking remains of the Mjollnir and found out:
- the gatling arm is even to heavy to carry for two...it weighs about 220 pounds you guess.
- There are alot of hydraulic parts that you can use. It will take about an hour or two to extract them though.
- The machine was partially powered by steam and electricity. There is a large battery on its back.

Phillip Hargreaves |

I figured we wouldn't be able to jury rig the gatling... but I had to ask ;)
"Righto Major, whats the plan now? When we've a bit of time I've got some work to do with the walker... but I reckon we've still got a job to finish?" making a pointed glance at the captured german.
Phil will also take a look around the room to see what might be salvaged - keeping a weather eye out for more stick grenades.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Major Cornelius von Gilding |

The mayor looks to Liam and grins
Ha, now you sound like my wife - it's just a scratch, so don't worry.
He walks over to the captured German, pulls a folder out of his pack and checks some photographies
Oh, I think we found our Professor here - Dietrich Stein, directly from the Universität München - very nice.
The Major gives Ivan a pat on the back and concludes
Ivan, help him up, but keep him secured - then Mr. McGregor, do your magics to our captive, we need him to talk.
@ Phillip: At the back of the statue you find several burned folders and half-burned relics that must stem from the excavation. The dead soldiers carried three grenades with them.

Liam McGregor |

Liam grunts a little, but decides to not argue the point at the moment, nobody is dying afterall.
"Awright, buh no time fer surgery, jes tha' basics then."
Liam unfolds his medical kit and begins to work on the captive.
Treat injury: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Hp restored: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
"Roight, 'e'll 'old thagether fer nau, who's next?"

Ivan Li |

Ivan props the wounder man up against the statue, and stands with his luger pointed at the man's face. No sudden moves, please. By the way one of your men survived, and is tied up upstairs. He told us everything. EVERYTHING
diplomacy1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 ooops!

Major Cornelius von Gilding |

The Major joins Ivan and takes a bit of tension out of the situation
Yes Ivan, no problem...I guess the professor knows exactly in which kind of situation he now is...
Then he whispers to Ivan
I want to know where he keeps the documentation of the excavation and the relics. Furthermore I want to know everything he knows about Operation Ewigkeit...
Turning to Liam, the Major adds
Good job Mr. Hargreaves, I think Gregori could need a bit of help too.

Phillip Hargreaves |

Putting the stick grenades in his bag of wonder, Phil flips through the burnt papers to see if anything survived in a readable format...
Phil's left sleeve is by now redolent of a crimson bloom with blood from the bullet he took in the initial charge. Shuffling over to Liam, he proffers his arm "One of the Jerry's gave me a present as well... though I daresay we gave 'em a better one back aye?"

Ivan Li |

Ivan whispers to the Major
Ivan ask Can Oskar or Phillip bring down the captured Wermacht soldier upstairs? I need him.

Liam McGregor |

Liam nods and begins to head for Gregori, bu as Phillip intecepts him, he nods and begins to work on his arm first.
Treating injury: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Damage healed: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Phillip Hargreaves |

Phil raises a slight eyebrow at the Major's query "How'd you know what it was called then? - when she started up you called it a Mjollnir war-robot.... or was that just a recollection from the Wafty-smee-den?"
Fishing out a cigarette as he walks over to the overturned tin can he lights up and takes a drag before giving the hunk of junk a kick "Ain't seen much like it with me own eyes Major. We're hardly on the cutting edge downunder..."

Not sure which Knowledge would apply, so just gave you all of them :) - only specifically after info the Mjollnir. Whether any parts have a factory stamping - or I've gleaned from war reports of factories being raided with similar fabrication capability, etc.

Major Cornelius von Gilding |

No, you got me wrong, I knew the Mjollnir project existed, but I assumed these things were radio controlled, like the tanktrap drones already used on the Eastern front - but I never thought they would produce these things with an option for a human to sit in them.
You knew that robot-like contraptions like the Goliath-drone for example existed, but you have never heard of such a thing like that battlesuit. It's way more sophisticated than the things you would have thought possible.

Liam McGregor |

"If'n ye is thinkin' th' apply force th' make 'im sing, let me do it, Ah'm qualified th' know EXACTLY where th' cut."
Liam directs an evil glare at the pilot.
Ah' won't do it, buh' 'E donae need th' keen that.

Oskar Hietamäki |

"Oskar will be back in few minutes and will then be wanting bandages."
Oskar disappears out of the room and jogs back along the path the unit followed on the way in, so as not to set off any booby traps. A few minutes later he returns, nudging the single surviving soldier along with the barrel of his rifle.
"Is prisoner Ivan wanted. You want me to tie up again or leave like this?"

Liam McGregor |

"Roigh, let's 'ave at ye then..."
Treat Injury on Oskar: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14

Didn't work, trying again.
Treat Injury on Oskar: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
Damage Healed: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
On the nose.
"Tha' did it, sorry about tha', th' big thing 'ad me spooked."

Ivan Li |

Ivan goes to it. He sits the enlisted man near enough to where the officer is to hear what goes on.
Ivan is not attempting to get ANY useful intel from the wounded man. His goal is to terrify the professor and make him angry.
Ivan begins So you saw what we did to your friends, they are all dead. You're not dead, you're not going to die, and you're among friends. You can spend the rest of this war in a nice warm POW camp in America. They might even have beer there....Or you can do this the OTHER way. That is where I do what that German traitor...who's my boss tells me to do. Which is use my knifeHere Ivan draws out one of his combat knivesand cut off your...pickle...You won't die...not quickly. So I'll cut off a few more things...and eventually you'll tell us anything anyway. So first...do you know WHY you were here or WHAT you were looking for? Come on...tell us. I won't hurt you...Don't make me hurt you
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18Intimidate

Phillip Hargreaves |

Phil is elbows deep in the guts of the Mjollnir, working away at salvaging some of the hydraulics and smaller joints and pistons. Every now and then he rocks back on his haunches, takes another drag off the cigarette dangling precariously from his mouth and then launches back into the machine.
Major - what caliber was the gatling? - trying to see if it's worth salvaging some of the ammo.

Major Cornelius von Gilding |

After looking at the guns you realize that these must be modified MG151 - a mchine gun type normally used in bombers and heavy fighters. The callibre is 15mm and you can hardly think that a man-sized weapon could use such ammo.
The professor sneers at Ivan, but the Chinese can clearly see the fear in the eyes of the man
We were only searching for archaeological pieces of minor interest for soldiers like you.

Phillip Hargreaves |

A wry smile turns up at the corner of Phil's mouth that is not bedecked by cigarette at the antics of the squad behind him. Delving into the ammo case, Phil removes a healthy strip of ammo chain. Throwing it over his shoulder he walks it a few meters away to where he put down his messenger bag earlier and places the ammo chain beside it. "Could come in useful that..." taking a few more drags on his ciggy before getting back to his work on the Mjollnir.
Probably not a real life feasible solution... but this is pulp after all... ;)

Ivan Li |

Ivan softens and says to the professor but loud enough for the enlisted man to hear Look herr, there are 2 ways this happens. Decide right now, you're a civilian which gives you certain rights and guarantees to fair treatment, provided you are honest with us and tell us everything you know. Nobody here wants to kill an unarmed innocent man. Or you are a nazi officer, and you are required to give your name and rank...nothing else. This makes you a POW. Now...as a POW you are entitled to certain OTHER privliages. But you see that English man over there...and that Russian...Ivan points to Gregori and PhilipThey have NO intention of letting ANY Nazi scum escape their terrible swift judgement. Which means after you tell us the bare minimum...I work on you. And you will say SOMETHING. It might not be true. In fact you'll say you are Hitler's little puppy and wear a dress to make me stop 'asking you' questions. And then...to make you two stop screaming and bleeding and rolling all over the floor and pissing yourself, The Englishman and Russian will shoot you in the back of the head.
To add emphasis Ivan slaps the tied up German soldier in the ear
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7Nonlethal damage brawl
Come on...I don't WANT to hurt you again...don't make me HAVE to
Ivan starts to cry, tears rolling down his cheeks, as he draws a combat knife from his boot, and starts tossing it from hand to hand.
Ivan has found a scary psycho is the best at freaking out non career military types

Gregori Mikonavich |

Gregori spits a few words at the german in hsi native tongue and smiles a brown and black tooth grin.
