The world is at war and the axis seems to remain victorious against the allied forces. Only a ragtag band of shady soldiers is left to save the world! Led by their Major Cornelius von Gilding they battle the German special forces of Operation
Male Human - Finnish Fast 2 / Strong 2
Oskar lays the man's body well away from the edge of the roof and quickly strips it of any grenades or other useful kit. That done he crab walks to the back of the roof and waves an all clear signal to the unit. From his high vantage point Oskar does his best to indicate the positions of the rest of the enemy soldiers before creeping back to the forward edge of the roof to keep an eye on the tank and the soldiers surrounding it.

Ivan will go for the lone sentry to the north
1d20 ⇒ 4Stealth
Ivan fails miserably at stealth. I think he stepped on broken glass.
worse
As Ivan sneaks north he runs right into one of the gray cats the Egyptians are so fond of. The surprised animal meows loudly and runs away.
The guard right in front of Ivan turns around and peers into the darkness..
another stealth check pls.
Meanwhile Oskar has found a pack of cigarettes, and some pin-up photos besides a rifle and some ammunition.

Ivan curses the cat, softly.
Stumbling backwards Ivan tries to find a hold, but the door knob he grabs is an old and rotten thing and so he falls on his back with a muffled shout of anger.
The Italian guard, not expecting any enemies in this forlorn desert village, asks
Luigi? Sei bevuto ci risiamo?

Phil catches his breath and remains poised like a gangly cat in the shadows.
Male Halfling Inquisitor of Calistria (Heretic archetype)
From his position of delicate cat-like poise, Phil slowly turns his head to take in his fellow Special Squad commandos to see if any are still moving...

Ach, th' nerves act op durin' times such as these...Ah 'ope th' lads are ok.
What the hell is Ivan doing...
The major's left eyebrow twitches nervously as he waits in the shadows...

Gregori waits impatiently for all hell to break loose. That is the moment Gregori is set loose.
Male Halfling Inquisitor of Calistria (Heretic archetype)
Phil's nose starts twitching... something in the air was irritating it and a calamitous sneeze was building and building. Bugger, we best get moving soonish or I'll blow our cover and bring the lot of them down on us...
In the ooc thread I proposed that one of you takes over Ivan.
Male Halfling Inquisitor of Calistria (Heretic archetype)
Ivan looks around from his recumbent position and tries to roll into the shadows. There he stays silent, hoping that the guard dismisses the noise.
Stealth: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Ivan doesn't speak Italian, so he doesn't know what the guard said. I guess it's either fight / hide / flight - so we'll try hide one more time.
The guard seems not satisfied with his comrade saying nothing and so he flips his cigarette away and moves closer, suddenly there is tension on the moonlit face of the man...
Male Halfling Inquisitor of Calistria (Heretic archetype)
Phil gives Gregori a subtle elbow, then gestures towards the approaching guard. Whispering "I think he said Russian vodka takes like horse piss..." hoping that will have the desired effect of a drastic reduction of the Italian's lifespan.

The guard stops and peeks further into the darkness, unable to spot the now well-hidden Ivan.
After a moment the man just shakes his head, shrugs and goes back to his sentry point.
As sad as it is, but I think we have to call this a quit since two players left permanently :-(
Male Halfling Inquisitor of Calistria (Heretic archetype)
A single solitary tear rolled down Phil's cheek as he pulled the cord on his last stick bomb.
"Better to go out in a blaze then..." BOOM!
Understood Major, sad to see it go as it was a fun jaunt - but completely understand the reasoning.
I also think it's really sad, but I would offer you and Liam spots in my other campaigns, since I really enjoyed playing with you.
Male Halfling Inquisitor of Calistria (Heretic archetype)
Don't feel the need to squeeze me in if there isn't room, but I would love to join one of your other campaigns if there is an opening and you'll have me.
Surely, with GRMBLN being MIA we have spots in Heart of Madness (Cthulhu D20), Heart of Riddles (Second Darkness AP) or Heart of Runes (Rise of the Runelords AP)
Male Halfling Inquisitor of Calistria (Heretic archetype)
Heart of Riddles would be my pick. I've been lemming a Second Darkness AP for a while and don't mind that it's a fair way in. Seeing how Corvax was a fighter I could plug that gap or another as it looks like healing would be welcome too.
Would you be able to broach it in the campfire and then I can pick it up from there?

Hmm, well Phil has first pick so it is only fair he gets to go in heart of darkness, but I'm not really into Cthulhu right now, and I am already in a rise of the runelords at the moment. Guess that means I have to dicline your invitation, not for lack of wanting to play however.

Bugger - sorry bout that BoggBear.
I'm thinking of starting up a Skull and Shackles PbP once the first adventure comes out. Is that something you'd be interested in?

Might just be, I'll keep a lookout for the reqruitment thread once you're ready to go.
