Us Gun geeks will have to remedy the manual pepperbox barrel rotation ... ;-)
The good news is that 'advanced firearm' revolvers are available in the Zeitgeist AP at a certain point for our resident Gunsmiths to fawn over (and rifles too!)...
...the bad news is that it isn't in the first AP module, or for a good long while yet ;)

Good to see ya Celeador, and thanks for the Arthur post! Take it easy, but if you need me to proxy-post something for you just give me a shout and I'll take care of it.

We're technically just about one more big post from me to wind down the current social scene, so have fun with it and get your interactions in as you'd like to before I move things along. This is a social scene and not a puzzle scene or decision interaction, so nothing you need to solve here.
By the way, the next few scenes are also "Social" in nature, so this is the time to really explore your character personalities and interact with both PC's and NPC's. Zeitgeist makes a distinct point to categorize its various scenes for the DM, as the campaign has a wide variety in its combat encounters, skill challenge encounters, social encounters, puzzle-solving elements, and story transitions. I was thinking to add to the new scene OOC headers I use with the following information, so that it might be easier for you to understand and get a feel for what is expected:
Scene Types: Action (combat or skill), Exploration, Exposition, Puzzle, Social, or Hybrid.
Duration: Montage (a few hours or days), Real-time (a few minutes), or Tactical (round-by-round).
Sounds good?

Willem's stuff is still on the Avalanche, correct or did he have to take it with him to Flint HQ?
For the sake of story, we're just going to hand-wave that you took your dress outfit and main gear with you on the carriage ride to Flint HQ (since you didn't know where you would be), and then brought it along to the Royal Square checkpoint area where it was stored and guarded with the other uniforms and such.

Yes you are -- lalalalalalallalalalalaa not listening! I like my life right now free of video games where I am actually interacting with my wife and kids. Plus my home PC is like 3+ years out-of-date for any decent quality games coming out these days.

As an aside (and not picking on you Anderlorn, but just using it as a recent example for reference), remember that even if you are writing in third-person narrative, you still don't want to break verisimilitude and include non-Lanjyr world names/places/points-of-interest into your posts for description. This goes hand-in-hand with keeping away from anachronisms in the game. So instead of using Irish as an adjective for something you're trying to explain, use Risuri or perhaps a rural region of Risur or something like that.
Page 30 on the Zeitgeist Extended Player's Guide has suggestions for languages and accents in the Zeitgeist setting, though it's meant to give a bit of flavor on language/places/names/dialects and not imply a cultural parallel. So even though the Danorans have a "French" accent in their Common tongue and I may incorporate some French-sounding names for their ships and such, there's no "Eiffel Tower" equivalent or guillotines or any of that nonsense. Even so, the Zeitgeist AP author (IMO) even gets a bit too close with Iberian Spanish to represent cities and aspects of the nation of Ber, so I will most likely change some of that to be less of an Earth-type parallel.

Oops, definitely a Freudian slip. Please substitute Irish Pennant for Danoran Pennon (an older word for pennant).

The problem is that I've heard rumblings about a rehash of Star Citizen in a persistent world setting for a long time now, and of course there's a part of me that goes back to the old Wing Commander flight sim days. But then I have to plug my ears and keep my mind from thinking about it. I'll just stick with my occasional Civ IV game...

Gandalf: "Listen carefully: Lord Denethor is Boromir's father. To give him news of his beloved son's death would be most unwise."
Gandalf: "And do not mention about Frodo or the Ring."
Gandalf: "And say nothing of Aragorn either."
[Gandalf again turns to enter, but stops and glances down at Pippin.]
Gandalf: "In fact, it's better if you don't speak at all, Peregrin Took."

Hehe yeah I wasn't going for the intentional mimic on that particular line, but it's definitely close to RotK isn't it?
To reference Spacecat here, if I was going to mimic a line for her character I'm sure she'd prefer that it came from Aliens, as that's one of her favorite movies :)

We still have a bit for the current scene, and I won't start writing the next one until this weekend.
I'd like to take a quick poll though and give you a choice on what you'd prefer for the next scene - onboard the Coaltongue, taking a tour of the ship with Talyssa Dane and select other assistant NPC's.
I'll go with the majority, with at least three of you posting your preferences for a quorum. Would you rather:
(a) Have a full interactive set of scenes for the ship tour, being able to interact with various NPC's along the way and going into more detail for you to roleplay out?
OR
(b) Have simply a descriptive narrative of the ship tour, giving you information about the ship (but no custom interactions) and then allowing you to forward to the next scene afterwards, where you will interact with various guests up on deck?
Either way is fine with me, so give me a sense as players on what you would prefer to do.

Okay so have fun with the scene and ask your question (or don't) to PM Lee, and then as the scene wraps up with the King's arrival I'll do more of a narrative post for your tour of the Coaltongue with Talyssa (including deck maps), and then you'll move to interacting with some of the more "interesting" V.I.P.'s on deck as the maiden voyage is underway.
