My Mac tends to do just fine for most things as well, but it's not my platform of opportunity for most of the day. Mac's don't run on iOS. iPads and iPhones do. I haul around an iPhone and an iPad.

Lirrathan:
You see an open hallway with several doors, closed. Many familiar sounding voices, those of tieflings, come from the rooms behind the doors. Once in a while, you catch the sound of a big whuffing sound floating down the hallway.

Those downstairs:
Another hissing, partially explosive sound comes from the northeast of the stair landing.

Does it sound like someone teleporting in?

It does not sound like magic per se, and does not sound like teleportation. It almost has a...viscous sound.

Lirrathan moves out to the top of the stairs, then stops and listens. He wants to try and gauge where the largest amount of activity is coming from. It's better to surprise a larger force, than a smaller one, and avoid the larger one coming to their aid.

The loudest sound Lirrathan hears is a clomping noise and a large whuf from the door immediately south of the stairwell's landing. Various other noises seem to come from the southeast room from the stairwell's landing. A singular loudish sound from the south, a few distinct and smaller sounds to the southeast, and the odd sounds from the floor below...

Sorry, my delay. School's had me swamped.

Lirrathan waits for the others to gather, and move toward the door that sounds to have a crowd in it. He points to the south door and mouths the word "Horse?". Moving on, he stops first at the opening to the room going north, ensuring nothing is hiding inside. If that's all clear, he steps to the southeastern door, and looks to see if the others nod their readiness. Once they do, he will open it.

Lirrathan:
In the room to the northeast, as you peak in as quietly as possible, you see stacks of scrolls, books, maps, and more sit atop a large hexagonal table in this room. The walls are painted with detailed maps of Sarkoris, over which features of the Worldwound have been painted. Four cultists, of Deskari if prior cultists seen around the destroyed city are any indication, sorting through a huge pile of papers.

Male Elf Ranger 4 (AC: 17 [T 13 /FF 14]; HP: 19/35; F+5, R+7, W+1/+3 vs Enchantments; Init: +3 [+5 in Urban]; Perc: +11 [+13 in Urban])

Seeing that there are enemies in the northern room, Lirrathan stops his advance. Instead, he turns and signals to the others. He jerks a thumb towards the room, points to his eyes, holds up four fingers, and then mocks horns on his head. He waves the others forward, and prepares his blades to taste cultist blood.

Okay, guys, I am reluctant to move forward in game with no one moving up along with me. Both as a player and a fellow GM, I ask that you keep track of your movements on the map. Otherwise, it shows I only have 1 ally 25' away, and 3 others about 70' away from me.

Male High Elf Desert Rider 5 (AC: 3| HP: 43(-1 subdual)/47 | THAC0: 16 | Infravision 60')

As previously stated, I can't change the map. As previously stated I'm happy to be moved on the map and have a desire to keep up with the front as we move around.

Paritosh keeps on Lirrathan's heels.

When Lirrathan moves out of sight from the base of the stairs, he is a bit concerned on if he should proceed up the stairs or wait for Lirrathan to signal them forward. This question is answered as Paritosh scales the stairs and also moves from view.

Stealth: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (5) - 3 = 2

'squeak... creek...'

"Would be nice if they would keep these stairs in better repair," he thinks to himself.

Once at the top of the stairs he looks back down the stairs, but sees no others in the previous room. Turning back to Lirrathan and Paritosh, he only shrugs and whispers to them, "They must be outside of my vision, I am sure they are there as we haven't heard them scream in terror or anguish yet."

Don't want to move the black spaces on the map, but shouldn't we see the contents of the NE room?

Pretty poorly really. It is corporate policy to pretty much always let the bad guys get the drop on us, so their sneak attacks and such have maximum effectiveness. It's worked for us so far.

Yep, as long as you can charge and attack in your move speed or less then that is allowed.
