Dakkar makes a bloody mess out of the thug that had been foolish enough to charge him.
Fort: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Fort: 1d20 ⇒ 15
Fort: 1d20 ⇒ 1
Fort: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Fort: 1d20 ⇒ 2
Iskender's blast of sound sends two of the thugs reeling, dropping their weapons and clapping their hands to their ears. Dilwyn's club, on the other hand, does nothing to his foe's armored breastplate. These are well-equipped thugs!
Kit charges up next to Vashi and between the two of them, they down another of the thugs.
The remaining foes (other than the still-blinded one), angered by your success and apparently not too bright, press their attack, trying to club you into unconsciousness.
Will: 1d20 ⇒ 18
Attack vs. Vashi: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Attack vs. Vashi: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Attack vs. Kit: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Attack vs. Dilwyn: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Nonlethal Damage vs. Vashi: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Nonlethal Damage vs. Dilwyn: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
The last of the blinded enemies finally manages to clear his eyes of the glittering dust.

Iskender |

Should two of those attacks not have happened, since the bad guys were stunned, and now unarmed?
Iskender will 5’ step to the NE, put away his wand, and proceed to attempt to trip the opponent between Dilwyn and Kit...
Whip To Trip: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 9 + 2 = 14
Bardsong is still up for +2/+2

GM_Almonihah |

Wow, and I just rolled the saves right beforehand, too. Dilwyn didn't get hit because that attack wouldn't have happened.

Kit 'Skylark' Bridger |

With his foe down, Kit kinds another one to attack.
Attack: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 12 + 2 = 34
Damage: 1d12 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 6 + 2 = 20
Attack (Confirm): 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 12 + 2 = 18
Additional Damage: 1d12 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 2 = 16

Dakkar. |

Dakkar steps up to help the front line. These thugs aren't even worth getting angry over. Though he does continue with his usual savage abandon.
Bite: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 9 + 2 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 2 = 10
Bite (wild fighting): 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 9 + 2 = 26
Damage: 1d6 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 6 + 2 = 9

Claw: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 9 + 2 = 28
Damage: 1d6 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 2 = 13
Tail: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 2 = 10
Damage: 1d6 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 2 = 11

Dilwyn Blevins |

Dilwyn uses the momentum of the bounce-back from the first staff strike to whirl it around and come from another direction. This swing has more impact, but all that extra momentum might make it harder to control, especially with that wall right next to him possibly getting in the way.
Staff attack against same target
+2/+2 from Iskender; +1/+1d6+1 shillelagh
Shillelagh attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 2 + 1 = 20
Damage: 2d6 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5, 6) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 17

GM_Almonihah |

Iskender's whip snaps at the air next to his target, but Kit's axe finds one of the thugs' faces, making an ugly mess out of it and ending his life. Dakkar tears the life from another of them, while Dilwyn and Vashi both injure their targets badly.
The surviving thug who had dropped his weapon warily picks it back up, and all attack the nearest target. You can see fear in their eyes... but it seems they are more afraid of something other than you.
Attack vs. Dakkar: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Attack vs. Vashi: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Attack vs. Kit: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Attack vs. Dilwyn: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Crit confirm: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Damage vs. Dilwyn: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Dilwyn Blevins |

I've been thumped a couple times, yes, but I'm counting the non-lethal damage up from zero, so I'm not in really rough shape. At least one of the times I got hit was retracted, too.
Dilwyn gets a little confused by the fact that their opponents seem to be scared of the wrong things. By all rights, much like himself, they should probably be frightened of the creature that has been ripping and tearing through their number with reckless abandon.
Then one of them hits him pretty hard and the curiosity is shunted to the back burner for the time being. He swings his staff around for another blow against the target he's been focusing on. There will be time to figure these things out when he isn't at risk of losing all his teeth to these saps.
+2/+2 Iskender; +1/+1d6+1 shillelagh
Shillelagh attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 5 + 2 + 1 = 21
Damage: 2d6 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4, 1) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 11

Dakkar. |

?: 1d20 ⇒ 17
"Snrrrr... Maybe we should capture one of these alive?"
Grapple: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 9 + 2 = 16
Dakkar attempts to relatively gingerly grab the thug attacking him... at least this once.
This does provoke an AoO due to lacking Improved Grapple.

GM_Almonihah |

Between the two of them, Dilwyn and Kit down another of the thugs. Vashi's axe, however, glances off the chainmail of her target.
AoO: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
The thug Dakkar clumsily tried to grab clumsily misses back.
The remaining three thugs keep up their desperate assault.
Attack vs. Dilwyn: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Attack vs. Dakkar: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Attack vs. Vashi: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Damage vs. Dilwyn: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Dilwyn continues to get pummeled while the rest of the thugs are still as ineffective as always.

Dilwyn Blevins |

Dilwyn briefly wonders if 'healing whiplash' is a thing. Certainly it feels extremely odd to be hurt then healed then hurt again then healed again all in the space of a few seconds. He's not complaining, obviously, it's just a sensation outside the majority of his experience. There's been a lot of that lately.
Fortunately, his muscles and his enchanted quarterstaff know what to do without his distracted thoughts getting in the way. He feels the satisfying thud! as he gets another good swing in at the only one left within his reach.
+2/+2 Iskender; +1/+1d6+1 shillelagh
Shillelagh attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 5 + 2 + 1 = 23
Damage: 2d6 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (2, 5) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 13

GM_Almonihah |

It's about now that you notice something odd--the corpses of the first thugs you killed seem to be... sinking into the ground.

Dilwyn Blevins |

Dilwyn couldn't put it better himself. But then again, everything since they woke up on another world has been odd. The better question is whether or not those they're fighting think its odd. He takes a look around their foes, searching for signs of the same confusion that he feels right now.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

Dakkar. |

?: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Dakkar gives up on trying to capture the thug and goes back to mauling and growling incoherently.
Bite: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Bite: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Claw: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
Claw: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
Damage: 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Tail: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Damage: 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

GM_Almonihah |

It seems like the thugs are terrified by this, but not surprised.

Vashi |

"Also reduces the chances of people finding out about this." Vashi points out.
Hit: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
Dmg: 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Sorry I haven't been posting regularly. The GM forgets to tell me when it's my turn.

GM_Almonihah |

Kit, Dilwyn, and Dakkar injure their targets, but none of them quite go down.
You discover that the dead aren't actually sinking into the ground--they're sinking into their own shadows. Easy mistake to make, but it turns out it matters. At least when it means those shadows get up and start trying to kill you. The three S's on the map are shadows--fortunately they don't get to attack this round.
Attack vs. Dilwyn: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Attack vs. Dakkar: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Attack vs. Vashi: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Damage vs. Dilwyn: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Kit 'Skylark' Bridger |

Kit continues his assault while keeping a wary eye on the shadows. Egad! What type of necromancy is THAT!
Attack: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 12 + 2 = 29
Damage: 1d12 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 6 + 2 = 19

Dilwyn Blevins |

"Uhhhhh," Dilwyn's kind of at a loss for words at this development. With the dead rising into such dangerous foes, it suddenly seems much more important that they not kill any more of these thugs, and instead just knock them out. "I think we probably still got this if we're careful, but maybe let's not kill any more of them, yeah?"
Taking his own advice, he thrusts his enchanted staff at the groin of the one next to him instead of swinging for the head.
Shillelagh attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 5 + 2 + 1 - 4 = 21
Damage: 2d6 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (6, 6) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 18 non-lethal

Dakkar. |

"Enough! GrrrrrRRRAAARRRRGGHHR!!"
Dakkar retains enough sense to know that the shadows are a larger threat than the thugs. Stepping around the thug next to him he viciously assaults the shadow.
Dakkar flies into a rage.
Bite: 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 9 + 2 + 2 = 16
Damage: 1d6 + 6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 2 + 2 = 13
Bite: 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 9 + 2 + 2 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 2 + 2 = 15
Claw: 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 9 + 2 + 2 = 27
Damage: 1d6 + 6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 2 + 2 = 12
Claw: 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 9 + 2 + 2 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 2 + 2 = 14
Tail: 1d20 + 4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 4 + 2 + 2 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 2 + 2 = 12
If the shadow goes down any remaining attacks end up on mister thug. All effects told, Dakkar's AC has dropped to 13 now, but against shadows that likely wouldn't matter anyway. All attacks count as magic.

Vashi |

Vashi decides to try and not kill an immediate foe for probably the first time in her life.
Hit: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Dmg: 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
well... that didn't work

GM_Almonihah |

That happens sometimes. XD
Kit and Dilwyn both down the foes in front of them, while Iskender and Vashi both miss badly. Dakkar steps forward and tears one of the shadows to shreds, his last two attacks not quite penetrating the chain mail of the remaining thug.
Said thug desperately tries to attack Dakkar.
Attack vs. Dakkar: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
He just barely connects, not that the enraged dragon-man-thing notices much.
Shadow vs. Dakkar TOUCH: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Shadow vs. Kit TOUCH: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Strength damage vs. Dakkar: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Strength damage vs. Kit: 1d6 ⇒ 3
The two shadows surge forwards, reaching for Dakkar and Kit. Their deathly cold touch saps the strength of the two warriors.

Kit 'Skylark' Bridger |

Kit will attack a shadow.
Attack: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 12 + 2 = 20
Damage: 1d12 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 2 = 8
"Hmmm, shadows! Don't let them hit you again!"
I think I found that out!

Dakkar. |

Will: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Dakkar succumbs to bloodlust and is now confused
"GRRRRAAAAAAARRGGGG!!!"
The shadow being the last thing to attack him, Dakkar tears into it in a berserker frenzy. Again the unfortunate thug is also on the list should the shadow be shredded.
Bite: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 7 + 2 + 2 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 2 + 2 = 10
Wild Bite: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 7 + 2 + 2 = 27
Damage: 1d6 + 4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 2 + 2 = 12
Claw: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 7 + 2 + 2 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 2 + 2 = 10
Claw: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 7 + 2 + 2 = 28
Damage: 1d6 + 4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 2 + 2 = 11
Tail: 1d20 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 2 + 2 = 7
Damage: 1d6 + 4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 2 + 2 = 13
It probably isn't safe to be within a 5-foot step of Dakkar in this state.

Dilwyn Blevins |

With the thug he'd been attacking (hopefully) safely knocked out, and probably sterile forever, Dilwyn moves to assist Kit using his magically enchanted staff to be able to hurt the nasty undead things.
+2/+2 Iskender; +1/+1d6+1 shillelagh
Shillelagh Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 5 + 2 + 1 = 26
Damage: 2d6 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3, 2) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 11 is magic

GM_Almonihah |

In a final flurry of attacks, the last remaining enemies go down. The other thugs, rather than sink into their shadows, start smoking as their faces... melt.
Oh, and Dakkar seems to be in a rather agitated state.

Dilwyn Blevins |

Dilwyn, too alarmed by this new development, doesn't even notice what's going on with his new ally. "What the hell is wrong with you all?!" he fruitlessly demands of the ones with the melting faces. "This is not acceptable!"

Dakkar. |

Will: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
For a frightening moment, it seems as though Dakkar may well turn on his allies now that all the foes are defeated, but he manages to get control of himself in time, slumping down a bit as the fatigue hits him.
"SSssnnnrrrr…. Okay, need to calm down now. Any clue what was with the shadows?"

Kit 'Skylark' Bridger |

Kit is puzzled when Dakkar suddenly changes gears from the rage-fueled creature to this inquisitive being before him.
Are you sure you are all right? For a minute there you were looking at us like we were going to be your next meal!
