BEGIN QUEST #6 SILVERHEX
Make one check and pop all relevant spoilers.
Following the gnome's map is relatively easy as you make your way outside of Daggermark to a small hill that she's circled where she believes Ulisha will be camped out.
The hill ahead is not much to look at. It gently slopes away from the river. A shallow cave is near its top, smoke from a campfire curling upward in the gentle breeze.
The grass wafts slowly along a gently curving path up the southern face of the hill, ending in a few switchbacks as the hill grows steep near the top.
As you make your way to the top of the hill, you spot a half-orc woman matching Ulisha's description tending to the campfire.
She appears wary and surprised to see you.
"Hey! I recognize you all... what are you doing here? How did you find me?"

"Alright. There's a local 'cleaning' group for hire that're called the Between, what our friend was talkin' about. The higher the rate, the better the 'cleanin' ' expertise, if y' get what I'm sayin'? Any rate, when they get out of the protection of buildings an' whatnot, they usually bring along backup, what so they don't get shiv'd in the back. As such, if'n you see one, there's prob'ly another, maybe two."
As the party approaches Ulisha Shardra is on-guard and alert.
"Rumor has it you pissed some folks off in town, what are coming to collect up on you. Kinda weird, everyone we ran into was really polite and respectful? It's not safe here, we should get you to somewhere secure."

Ulisha scans the horizon in the dim light of the setting sun.
"Vessels Between?! Ugh, I'm certain they're on their way if you're saying word has gotten out that far..."
Ulisha takes a couple steps from her fire and gives the area another once-over.
"What do we do...? Can we set up an ambush for when they get here?"
Just as a reminder since it's been a while. You've been working to collect all the items for Ulisha to sell them for gold, which you'd then use to purchase Silverhex so she can address the outstanding money placed on her head naming her an enemy of the Red Revolution.

Enora decides it better to Aid someone competent (Sharda) rather than try herself.
"Sharda, have we not gathered close to enough Ms. Ulish that she might be able to pay off her mark? I mean, she is wanted by mercenaries. Gold goes a long way to swaying the allegiance of such folk."

Ulisha shakes her head.
"If what you are saying is correct, the Vessels Between have already been hired. Once they are hired for a contract, there's no calling them off."
The half-orc Pathfinder swallows hard.
"Silverhex is safe in town. Help me live through whatever the assassins plot, and we can use the gold to pay off Anwald for the chalice, and hopefully he'll stop hiring assassins to try to murder me!"

"Having at least one alternate route would be preferred, unless you want to repeat the whole thing from the crash site?" Shardra pauses and considers.
"Okay, we're probably looking at one or two experienced and possibly some understudy sorts. Depends on what kind of money was being thrown at this. You really have a way with people, don't you, Ulisha?" Shardra's tone is teasing, but not in a mean sort of way.
After all, Explore, Report, Cooperate, right?

Drawing her scimitar and uttering prayers to Sarenrae, the priestess appears to be ready for the final assault. When she sees the assassins coming, she'll cast shield of faith on Zadim.

Yeah, map needs unlocked somehow.
Shardra will carefully set up on a 'perimeter' post , keeping Ulisha in the corner of her eye as she watches the rock pile to the 'southwest'. To prepare, she'll pull out a scroll case, load her crossbow and set it to the ground carefully, and brings up Heightened Awareness.
"Good. Every little bit helps."

Sounds like you're all pretty much just staking out around the campfire, right?
While the idea of going into the cave is a nice one, we almost got dead a lot fighting in Numeria with a similar trap of a situation. Shardra is leery of such an option, despite the fact Enora is in support of it. She won't fight if the whole party wants to do that again, but getting pinned down like that just feels... like a really bad idea.

As the Pathfinders set their watch, they keep their eyes focused on any possible avenue for the Vessels Below to take. A few hours pass and Enora and Shardra both begin to grow weary.
Then, Zadim, Kyra and Ulisha spot movement along the base of the hill - and a man carrying nunchaku sneaking up towards Kyra and Ulisha.
Ulisha quickly gestures and shouts in alarm.
"They're here!"
She then begins to orate an inspiring tale of valor wherein a group of heroes defend a princess against kidnappers (inspire courage, +1).

As Zadim studies the man with the nunchaku, a halfling clad in black reveals himself in the dim light of the stones to the southwest and fires off an arrow at Kyra. Luckily for Kyra, she's wearing armor and the arrow ricochets off.
Charging in at the Sarenrie, he swings his nunchaku and whacks Kyra in the head (10 damage) in near total silence. He gives Ulisha a glance, as if to suggest once I murder this healer, you're next..

Shardra picks up her light crossbow and lets loose a bolt at the halfling by the stones! And then she reloads!

"Get 'im, Kolo!" Once again, the tuatara gives Shardra a look like she's utterly insane as it goes charging in to help the nice healing two-legs deal with the bad stick-wielding hurting two-legs!

Only Kolo seems to have success at injuring the assassins, who now split their attacks between the two Pathfinders standing between them and Ulisha.
The man with the nunchaku hits Zadim hard (for 7) while the halfling sniper takes few steps forward and lands another arrow (also for 7) seeming to undo Kyra and Ulisha's healing.

The man immediately retaliates which a flurry from his nunchaku, connecting with Zadim (7 damage) and seeming to do a little "extra" with his attack this time.
The sniper lands yet another arrow in Kyra (5 damage).

Going to roll for the sniper even though we're waiting for Kyra as this appears to quickly be headed to resolution.
The sniper refocuses his efforts on Zadim (hits for 5), clearly seeing him as the offensive threat standing between him and his mark. He seems to betray little emotion at the loss of his fellow Vessel Below.
