Black-Blooded Dark Tapestry Oracle 7
I like the loot sheet like you've done before for things, Njord. Whatever that's called, I like it.
Moar Mappity
Oh sure, you bunch of slackers don't post all day, and then when I go to gaming you immediately put up 11 IC and 9 OOC.
You're all gonna die.
Male Elf--Drow (Jamleus) Wizard 14| HP 80/80 | AC 15 | T 15 | FF 11 | CMD 22 | Fort +7 | Ref +10 | Will +11 | Init +4 | Perc +20 | Sense Motive +18 |Effects: Mage Armor +4 AC
So zero sum is you lose gold for loot, right?
Are we going to have a scroll fund too? I'll be honest I didn't spend a lot of time reading the discussion thread so I am not clear on how that stuff works.

Jametor Darksbane wrote: How are we handling loot? Also anyone figure out how to do the 150% back on the betting? Or don't care? Since I didn't realize I needed to purchase chips - I think we kind of skipped over that - I figured what I would have purchased for chips and worked from there. Randall didn't have a lot of cash, so I figured he had 5 gp worth of chips. He had a net loss of 6 sp, so he ended up with 44 sp worth of chips. At 150% buyback, he got 66 sp back plus his entrance fee of 1 gp.
At least, that's how I did it and our good GM did not shoot it down.
If Njord has a magic treasure-tracking sheet, I'm happy to let him track stuff.
Coldborn Ulfen 13 - 134/134 hp + 120 stoneskin, Init +0, AC 21 (26 with buffs) [touch 12, FF 20], Fort +17, Ref +13, Will +10; Perception +19
Zero-sum was the system where you pay out what the loot would have been worth to the party. This makes it so wealth disparity within the party doesn't get too out of line and it curbs "I can use that!" syndrome.
Mine is pretty simple. You can see an example here.
Rogue 14 [ HP 36/87 (0 NL) | AC 26 Tch 19 FF 20 | Fort +9* Ref +18* Will +10* | CMD 27, 29 vs steal | Init +9 | Perc +21, vs traps +32, trap spotter | Effects: Haste]
I've done much the same, but a lot of games I'm in don't really care. I'm good either way. You seem to have a system the others appreciate. Really, that's good enough for me.
Male Elf--Drow (Jamleus) Wizard 14| HP 80/80 | AC 15 | T 15 | FF 11 | CMD 22 | Fort +7 | Ref +10 | Will +11 | Init +4 | Perc +20 | Sense Motive +18 |Effects: Mage Armor +4 AC
Works for me. Right now the highest level I've made is level 3 and that's a campaign we started at level 3 and haven't even got out of town on our first adventure.
Coldborn Ulfen 13 - 134/134 hp + 120 stoneskin, Init +0, AC 21 (26 with buffs) [touch 12, FF 20], Fort +17, Ref +13, Will +10; Perception +19
Moar Mappity
Oh, just coming up with clever ways to kill you for calling me a slacker.
Post in the morning.

Sigh. My laptop speakers just decided to die, and now I have no sound unless I used headphones, which I strongly dislike. :(

You should go post in Gameplay. :P
Moar Mappity
Oh also, I'm going to be gone most of tomorrow. Got the day off, going hiking.

Translation: I don't want to play anymore. Blah blah blah.
Moar Mappity
Does Rocky Mountain National Park count as scenic? :)
(I think it does!)

It certainly does! I will be there in about a month to do just that!
Black-Blooded Dark Tapestry Oracle 7
Outdoors are so highly overrated. All that pollen and bugs and angry grizzlies. :P No thank you. But have fun anyways. :)
Rogue 14 [ HP 36/87 (0 NL) | AC 26 Tch 19 FF 20 | Fort +9* Ref +18* Will +10* | CMD 27, 29 vs steal | Init +9 | Perc +21, vs traps +32, trap spotter | Effects: Haste]
You have to work to anger the grizzly, usually. Unless someone else has done the work for you, of course. Watch out for the mountain lions. ;-)
I love how they say to make noise, wear a bell, etc. because the bears value their privacy and will move away from someone making noise because they don't want to see you. A mountain lion, on the other hand, being a cat, will come see what all the hullabaloo is about because he's curious.

Just remember ONLY YOU can prevent forest fires. I know that's a lot of pressure..
Moar Mappity
You guys are funny. We don't have any grizzlies here, and black bears are pretty much harmless.
Rogue 14 [ HP 36/87 (0 NL) | AC 26 Tch 19 FF 20 | Fort +9* Ref +18* Will +10* | CMD 27, 29 vs steal | Init +9 | Perc +21, vs traps +32, trap spotter | Effects: Haste]
I wouldn't say you don't have ANY grizzlies. RMNP just has entrance requirements - they only allow the smart ones in (that avoid people). Yellowstone, on the other hand, has a grandfather clause, so the dumb ones still get in there.
Enjoy your hike(s) - feel free to share suggestions. We haven't totally decided our itinerary yet.
Male Elf--Drow (Jamleus) Wizard 14| HP 80/80 | AC 15 | T 15 | FF 11 | CMD 22 | Fort +7 | Ref +10 | Will +11 | Init +4 | Perc +20 | Sense Motive +18 |Effects: Mage Armor +4 AC
They are typically harmless until you fail a save....then you'll have other saves to fail.
And we all know how the dice love you.
DM Oladon wrote: You guys are funny. We don't have any grizzlies here, and black bears are pretty much harmless.
Bet they give you paws for thought though....
*goes back to lurking*
Moar Mappity
Naw, there really aren't any in RMNP. :P
Though apparently they're talking about re-introducing them in the Gila Wilderness in NM... why anyone would /want/ grizzlies in their park is beyond me.
Male Elf--Drow (Jamleus) Wizard 14| HP 80/80 | AC 15 | T 15 | FF 11 | CMD 22 | Fort +7 | Ref +10 | Will +11 | Init +4 | Perc +20 | Sense Motive +18 |Effects: Mage Armor +4 AC

In general, the same reason they wanted wolves back in Yellowstone. They were there first and they were part of the natural balance. With them gone, other things get out of hand. You know, like hikers and berry bushes.
Male Elf--Drow (Jamleus) Wizard 14| HP 80/80 | AC 15 | T 15 | FF 11 | CMD 22 | Fort +7 | Ref +10 | Will +11 | Init +4 | Perc +20 | Sense Motive +18 |Effects: Mage Armor +4 AC
Did Oladon survive the attack of the bears? Do we have a back up plan?

Maybe the bears were the backup plan.
Male Elf--Drow (Jamleus) Wizard 14| HP 80/80 | AC 15 | T 15 | FF 11 | CMD 22 | Fort +7 | Ref +10 | Will +11 | Init +4 | Perc +20 | Sense Motive +18 |Effects: Mage Armor +4 AC
Didn't he threaten to kill us over the weekend? I think he needed a bigger snake.
Moar Mappity
Just got home. So tired... probably going to crash early tonight.
Male Elf--Drow (Jamleus) Wizard 14| HP 80/80 | AC 15 | T 15 | FF 11 | CMD 22 | Fort +7 | Ref +10 | Will +11 | Init +4 | Perc +20 | Sense Motive +18 |Effects: Mage Armor +4 AC
It's 8:45 here. So..slacker.
Have a good night, seems like you might have had a good day.
Moar Mappity
Had an excellent day. I'm probably going to be up another hourish; it's a bit early to retire yet.
Moar Mappity
Where're all my slackers?
Coldborn Ulfen 13 - 134/134 hp + 120 stoneskin, Init +0, AC 21 (26 with buffs) [touch 12, FF 20], Fort +17, Ref +13, Will +10; Perception +19
We're all busy hiking with bears today.
Moar Mappity
Oh, so you won't mind if I kill all your characters while you're away.
Coldborn Ulfen 13 - 134/134 hp + 120 stoneskin, Init +0, AC 21 (26 with buffs) [touch 12, FF 20], Fort +17, Ref +13, Will +10; Perception +19
Hmm... if I get to hike with bears that might be worth it.
Male Elf--Drow (Jamleus) Wizard 14| HP 80/80 | AC 15 | T 15 | FF 11 | CMD 22 | Fort +7 | Ref +10 | Will +11 | Init +4 | Perc +20 | Sense Motive +18 |Effects: Mage Armor +4 AC
You keep threatening, yet you don't deliver.
Also, we might have a TPK in my homebrew. Which will be the second death for 3 of the people who play the game. ouch.
Moar Mappity
Sadness. :(
And I'll deliver at the proper time. Have no fear. Or rather, have lots of fear.
Black-Blooded Dark Tapestry Oracle 7
I will have no fear! It's the halfling inquisition!
