Speaking of additional languages, I get one but did not have a story reason to have a preference. Does anyone have a recommendation between Elven, Dwarven, or Gnomish?
No recommendations, but do note that elves are quite rare in Riddleport, so it probably wouldn't be a very widespread language there.
I've added a map of Riddleport to the Campaign Info tab, and will be adding a few more bits and pieces as we get closer.

As an elf I have both Sylvan and Elven.
Plus I now have another language to pick. Basicall, Jametor is the wizard skill monkey, especially linguistics.
Of course, not sure what to pick, thinking Polyglot.

Skald!
Elven, sylvan, or aklo are probably all good choices.
My racial options aren't that inclusive, I'm afraid. I'll go with Elven. Avatar is up, my character data will be a hassle to post from my phone, so I will get that later.
For the curious, Randall is a halfling rogue with quick feet, quick hands, and a quick tongue. I hope I'm creative enough to rp that last part. He became a rogue to survive on the streets, but he's more of the thought that the best way to survive a fight is to not get into one than some halflings. He hasn't had the best draw thus far, but he's playing the hand he was dealt and is not one of those fellows with a chip on his shoulder.
I'll get his stats updated for second level and posted under the avatar, probably early tomorrow. Cheers!

Cross-posting is fun... I originally went with Gnomish, would that be better? Or maybe knowing Elven will give me a tie-in with Jametor. I like pre-adventure connections...
Randall Quickstep
Randall could be an "urchin" that guided him to his destination when he arrived. The little fellow is trying to go straight, after all.

Time for another poll. (I know, you thought I brought you here to play Pathfinder; in reality, you're here to take polls. Sorry to disappoint.)
Would you guys rather use Google Docs or Ditzie for maps?
There are pros and cons to either. One of the pros and cons of Ditzie is that you can move your own token.
To demonstrate: click on the link above. Move your character. Hit enter. Copy/paste the new URL. You'd have to do that any time you moved in combat.
It's prettier than Google Docs... but means you guys have to be careful to count your movement correctly and always post the new URL with your action in combat as opposed to the DM taking care of all movement.
Votes?
Njord Bjornson
Azlanti might be a good one for Jametor.
Jametor Darksbane
If you give permission to each person, they can move their token, or you make the doc public, but that means anyone who goes there can move it.
I'd prefer Google, since I can mess with stuff on my tablet at work, Probably can do Ditzie too. If we setup Google so everyone can move, that will take some of the stress off the GMs.
DM Oladon
Let's try Ditzie for now and if it proves to be too much of a pain we can switch to Google Docs.
If someone's on a device where it doesn't work, just describe your movement as well as you're able and someone will move you.

I'm not against it, but my focus coming in is less combat and more skills. I think a choice like that would be the result of decisions made in-game - such as having a likely partner to use them with like, say, another halfling rogue...
I selected Canny Observer as his talent because that strikes me as matching the personality he's developing - the bonus to finding traps is not unwanted, either.
Randall Quickstep
Character sheet has been populated. I don't have the right dataset for a couple of the options I'm using, so I'm using the software to get as close as possible and manually fixing the differences - please let me know if you notice something askew.

Firiel, what combat feat did you select for your Combat Trick rogue talent? Just wondering if Finesse Rogue might be a better choice to keep options open later... But you appear to be missing a feat, so I'm wondering if you were considering Outflank or Precise Strike as your first-level feat and waited for Randall's response to that question.
EDIT: I'm more interested in Outflank than Precise Strike, but I won't qualify for Outflank until sixth level, I believe, because of the BAB +4 requirement.

Yeah, I hadn't decided yet and was waiting to hear back from you.

I went with Polyglot and Jametor is leveled to 2. I was trying to decide if I want to mess with wands or just use my extra feat scribe scrolls to augment our spells

Are we keeping these opening conversations in Spoiler? Njord was sent back without one, so wasn't sure.
Also, assuming my RP of the raven is fine, they can talk, wasn't sure if I made her too talkative, or if she can only say a few words.
DM Oladon
Mostly up to you, except when something is happening that may involve other characters later on.
As for the raven, yeah, you're fine. Pathfinder doesn't have rules for "speaking a language a little bit" or anything, so that's pretty much up to you. I might look at you askance if she starts quoting Shakespeare, though.
Randall Quickstep
ROTFL!!! I wrote up a Nevermore post and then deleted it!!! Too funny!
I'm spoilering my posts mostly because the other characters are not present, not because no one can read them. I guess I could post as much in the spoiler tag...

Paging one Antal, Antal H., please pick up your nearest blue courtesy telephone. Antal H, I repeat, paging Antal H.

Gonna go out on a limb here and say, this group is not afraid to put words to webpage.
ETA: I live in the KC area, meaning Central time zone. Typically work from 7AM to 4PM. My mom has been in the hospital/Long Term Care since 1/7. I've been fighting a summer cold so I haven't been going to see her, but a lot of times, we stop to see her on the way home, usually get home about 6ish PM. I have a tablet and phone, so that doesn't mean I'll be out of pocket, but a lot of my big post times are going to be evenings and weekends. I try to go to bed by 10PM Sun-Thur, and maybe a little later on Fri-Sat. I am usually up before 6AM, even weekends.
DM Oladon
Is that the PbP analogue of putting the pedal to the metal?
Edit: Thanks for the schedule; good for you, stopping to see her.
Jametor Darksbane
sheesh.
I am going to probably lose the first spell I cast, perhaps get my familiar killed, I am the most awesome wizard ever!
Njord Bjornson
=(
I lost two turns.
Jametor Darksbane
So my summon ends right before it's my turn? I can then move and still cast another spell. Do you want me to roll up the celestial dog attacks or do you want to do them? He will last for 3 rounds (2 rounds as my level plus 1/2 my wizard level for Summoner's charm)
DM Oladon
Yep, you've got your full turn. You can roll the attacks for your summons, and keep track of how long it's been around.
Njord Bjornson
Slacker!
Njord Bjornson
The betting was so little I basically ignored it.
Do you guys want to do a zero sum spreadsheet?
Jametor Darksbane
My experience on these forums is pretty low, so whatever works for you guys. Don't be afraid to tell me to stop talking or how the system works.
Also, would Njord like Enlarge Person?
Njord Bjornson
If you plan for her to be doing lots of talking, it couldn't hurt.
Jametor Darksbane
To be honest, not sure. Plus when I can pick up Improved Familiar, I will probably replace her, perhaps with someone who can use a wand. Really depends on how the group develops. I guess I can create one for them too, if needed.
Is create wand worth it?
