Yay! Ferrets can be quite cuddly and fuzzy... and they don't even smell too badly if they're bathed regularly.
Did you happen to get my Super Sekrit PMs?
Jametor Darksbane
Not going to lie, when the map of the stairs popped up and they all started going after me, I was figuring out my next character...
Njord Bjornson
Who is still awake?
DM Oladon
Unfortunately, probably not going to be able to post much tomorrow. Going to get a new hard drive in the morning, then coming back to install it, then going to board games night (which is replacing live PF this week). I'll try to post when I can, but it may be sparse.
Njord Bjornson
Slacker! All the more reason we should finish this encounter tonight!
Tell me you're going to be playing board games with those bears you've been hiking with.
DM Oladon
Sorry, all. Super busy with trying to fix my computer after the drive started to fail (and before it finished dying completely).
Still working on it, but will plan to have something up tomorrow morning at the latest.
DM Oladon
Alright. There was some unfortunate drama/friction between some of those present, but it ended alright.
Story War was interesting, but made one long for mechanics to resolve things... ala Pathfinder. :P
DM Oladon
Work's been busy today, sorry guys.
I'll try to get your loot-selling calculated in a few hours.
Randall Quickstep
We picked the rainiest week in years to enjoy Rocky, it appears. We got to the foot of the Old Ute Trail from our cabin on Monday - in the afternoon, it started to spit and sprinkle on the way back.
Tuesday morning, it was very foggy with intermittent showers all day. We hiked to the Moraine Park shuttle stop so we could ride it to the Glacier Gorge trailhead and then hike to Mills Lake from there.
Between the weather and letting our bodies recover from the activity at this altitude, we just bummed around downtown today - and still walked several miles.
Tomorrow, rain or shine, we are headed to Lawn Lake. We'll see how far we get.
Anyway, sorry Randall has not been getting a lot of my attention this week. Feel free to bot him if I'm holding things up while I look for Oladon's bears in the woods. ;-)
Njord Bjornson
I'll update Njord after work tonight.
Randall Quickstep
@Jametor: Glitterdust is nice and in your specialty, right?; Summon Swarm, maybe? Do you have opposed schools? I haven't looked at your actual character sheet. If you weren't worried about AoE, what does your wizard concept lead you toward?
Jametor Darksbane
Well he was setup to be a summoner of sorts. That was because everything i read was don't be a blaster, then I found a cool way to play a blaster. Oh well. I am conjuration specialized with Enchantment and Necromancy opposed. I will probably take the arcane discovery to remove Necromancy at level 9.
So yes, Glitterdust and summoning is my "specialty" I'll grab some alchemist fire for aoe dealing with swarms.I might take some gold and buy some scrolls to add to my spellbook.
DM Oladon
Neither Feral nor I will lock someone in to something they really don't like, so if you really wish you'd done something different, talk to us and we can probably work something out.
Which isn't to say go change your build every level, but I don't think I need to even put that warning out there with this group. :)

I was mostly wondering if evocation was opposed. Burning Hands is still a first level spell, but it's not a bad AoE at this level. Web can be applied as an AoE in the right situation. Spark is a cantrip that would make your grease spell a bonfire and could be used to light a web, I think. I'm just tossing out ideas - I'm sure whatever you want to do will be fine.
Jametor Darksbane
Yeah, I regret not picking up Burning Hands by now. To be honest I have enough gold, I could buy a couple scrolls to add to my spellbook. And I've mentioned before this is kinda my first foray into a full spellcaster so I am learning what I like and what I don't.
I was thinking of becoming a demi-god, would that be possible?
At this point, I'll stick with what I have, it seems to fit in the group well. I just need to get my next feat and make my summons a bit more powerful, since they seem to die on the first attack. but them soaking damage is less damage to the rest of us. ETA: And I'd have to change spell selection, school specialization and a trait (I think)
Jametor Darksbane
Yeah I had to wait to get home so I could use Google translate. I've almost got Jametor leveled, now I am thinking about that switch..

Basically the changes are spell selection in spellbook--a couple evocation spells changed from conjuration spells. Feat changed, non-campaign trait changed. I didn't change skills or abilities. I have both ready, so at this point, it's just up to you two. I won't be unhappy either way.
Randall Quickstep
I missed at least one little thing in my level up process. I, ah, forgot to select a feat. Terribly sorry...
Any suggestions? I have not started looking, but Dodge seems like a possible choice. I just don't know if I want to be totally focused on defense.
EDIT:
Let's see - Sure and Fleet was on the list at one point. Precise Strike was requested. Can't qualify for Outflank yet, but that interests me more. Quick Draw might be good. Cautious Fighter is better than Dodge, I think, though situational. Feint Partner, Team Pickpocketing, and Stealth Synergy all sound interesting as teamwork feats.
There's more, those are what I saw in a scan. TWF and associated feint feats are tempting, but I have heard repeatedly that the TWF Rogue is a trap. If I can forgo an attack to set up my own sneak attack, though, it might be worth the feat tax.
DM Oladon
Mobility can be very nice later on, if you're planning to be a melee rogue long-term. You might also find this spreadsheet useful... the first and second tabs are a narrowed-down feat list I made for my live-game rogue. The "Copy of Feats (All)" tab is just the unfiltered list, which you're free to copy to a new spreadsheet if you want to make your own.
Randall Quickstep
We can't pick Outflank yet. BAB requirement. Otherwise, I would be all over that one. Mobility is indeed part of the attraction to Dodge. I will check out your feats spreadsheet. First, sleep calls.
Randall Quickstep
I'm thinking Dodge is the best for now. A point of Int at 4th and I can take Combat Expertise at 5th and we can get Gang Up or Outflank at 7th. Mobility and Underfoot look very attractive, too.
Randall Quickstep
Leveling complete. I forgot the favored class bonus, too - put it to another skill point. Totally forgot when I was grappled that I have a fair Escape Artist bonus. I generally don't build that one for my characters, so it totally slipped my mind as an option.
I rearranged my new skill points when I entered this into PCGen, too, so he looks slightly different - decided a rank in Swim would not be misplaced.

Sweet. My anger burns and now he burns his enemies!
Also, I am not trying to make Jametor into some raging pyscho. He's just very frustrated, he's used to simple and precise, from being a scribe and wizard studies.
