For this next part, I need everyone to be lvl 9. There are things in here that can be pretty deadly and I want everyone to be the level suggested by the adventure.

@Dimitrious,
Upon further thought, I am willing to let you extend the casting time of Liberating Command to a standard action when cast on yourself, this will leave the immediate action/swift action unused by the casting and will let you help yourself escape. Remember to make the concentration check when you try to cast though 15 + spell level while entangled.

I can live with that 8>). I will use Liberating Command on my Init. For a second there I thought I had Freedom of Movement from the amulet, but that's only in water.

I added a concentration check to my previous roll

Hey, sorry to do this, but I have been feeling like I've been running on empty for a little while and I need to step away from some things so I don't feel overextended. I'm afraid that means I'm dropping several games I'm in and this is one of them.

As I said, I am really sorry about doing this, but I really need to regroup and refocus.

Male Human Expert 1 Warrior 1

Sounds good!
We have a couple routes for getting him in the game in a decent manner. He could still be a member of the crew that you recently picked up. Or he could be the last surviving member of a crew that wrecked on the island. He could be being held for a future meal by the giants.

Evil GM

Hello... Dimitrious Black mentioned you are looking for player. I'm happy to come up with character. Looks like the group could use some divine assistance. If that's ok let me know the build requirements and wealth.

Baldwin,
Welcome, I replied to your PM. But to recap:
The party is level 9 and you would come in with level appreciate wealth (46,000).

Recent events:
The party has recently won the Free Captain's Regatta. With this they have won the right to be Pirate Lords. However simply wining the race is not enough to earn the respect of the Lords on the Pirate Council. The must prove themselves to be as good at ruling as they are at ship handling. As such they have received the deed to this island, "The Island of Empty Eyes".

The party has taken their two ships to the island and brought with them a large crew and an assortment of supplies. They also brought along some competent tradesmen to help with any construction projects the Island will need. In three month's time, the party is expected to host the Pirate Council. Being poor hosts will bring about derision, being good host will garner respect.

Right now the party is exploring their island and has come across the ruins of an ancient town. The buildings are all quite large and are currently occupied by at least a couple of cyclopses.

Male Human Expert 1 Warrior 1

@Suny, I would like to recruit a total of two. We have found Baldwin, so I am open to one more. If you have someone in mind feel free to invite them.

Male Human Expert 1 Warrior 1

We need to find a way to boost Dimitrious's perception. His stealth is really good, but his perception can still fail him on a not so good roll. You are nigh undetectable unless you set off a trap.

A perception of 15 isn't bad is it? Besides making every check is no fun

DM wrote:
All things considered, being prone is not a bad thing if they are shooting at you. They do not have a very good "to hit", and their insight ability is only once per day

I have no complaints

Male Human Expert 1 Warrior 1

Perception of 15 is not bad, I just feel bad for the setup even if it came directly from the module.

At work.

Nope, sadly no one immediate comes too mind. :(

Male Human Expert 1 Warrior 1

Baldwin has indicated that he has too much going on right now to build a character and play another game. I would like to have at least 4 players, if we are unable to directly recruit, I may open it up to general recruitment. Does anyone have someone else they would like to invite?

There is a good spot coming up to integrate them.

hi guys; been away from Paizo for a while; am reading up on your game as my bud DC in Australia told me about it.

I hope our adventures read up well. :)

Again, looking forwards to playing with every one. :)

Valegrim,
We would be happy to have you.

are any 3pp classes allowed? I am looking at this swashbuckler..

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/3rd-party-classes/adamant-entertainment/swa shbuckler

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

yes; i am up to date and have read all the pbp and discussion

it is a 20 point build yes?

Male Human Expert 1 Warrior 1

@Valegrim, I read through the class and I don't see an issue with it. It is 20 point buy.
Look forward to seeing what you make. :)

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

Great; thanks I will get right on it :)

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

Are you using the regular dieties as per the book?

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

I have a rules questions as this is my first time in pathfinder; as a human; they get +1 rank of a skill and as all my level will be in one class which is my favorite class; that is +1 skill to so if I am reading this correct; do I get 2 extra skill levels per level?

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

I could not find firearms like cannons in the book; I took that class as my second Weapon class; I just need to make sure it is not exotic as I only know simple; normal; martial; so let me know if I need to change it.

Also; how are we rolling hit points? I am all done except for that; my character is in pdf form at the moment.

how is everyone posting their characters?
My characters name is Paddy "Pim" Crocker; Swashbuckler (fighter)

I tend to, but I am open to including others.

Yes. The first one you get for being human. The second you may take as your favored class bonus. You may instead take a hit point as your favored class bonus. Your choices are 2 extra skill points or 1 extra skill point and 1 extra hit point.

Firearms are considered "emerging" they are rare but not unheard of. You would normally need exotic weapon proficiency. However.... I have a proposal, most race/class combinations have alternative favored class bonus. I am willing to make one up for you where you can use 4 levels of favored class bonus to gain proficiency in 1 type of exotic weapon. This can help you keep your concept but not get something for free. (Effectively 4 less bonus skill points for proficiency in one type of weapon) Thoughts?

For hit points you get maximum at first level and then roll thereafter. Feel free to roll in the discussion board.

Male Human Swashbuckler 10

how do you do rolls; various pbp do it different ways; what is your prefered method; I had though I read also half hit point minimums on hps; is that still the way?

here is my character so far; let me know how it looks.

Male Human Swashbuckler 10

Hit points
9d10 + 18 ⇒ (4, 10, 4, 7, 1, 3, 10, 3, 2) + 18 = 62
raise first from 4 to 10 to max first level; 68
