Lunge Lunge Lunge!
Good Hope!
Tibideau is obviously taking Dimension Door, duh, but he still needs to choose another 4th level spell. Greater Infernal Healing or Cure Serious Wounds? Summon Monster IV would be nice, but if Tibideau is going to start preparing more summoning spells, that makes me want to start giving him summoning feats. Maybe he should take Spell Focus Conjuration now, then Augment Summoning at Level 9? But, it is also about that time for him to start taking Metamagic Feats. He's got a feat problem. The Heighten and Extend Metamagic Feats both look promising.
Other than choosing my second spell and my feat, I'm all ready for level 7.

At the risk of being boring, I say Good Hope. You'll be casting it all the time to make us more awesome. Invisibility Sphere is sweet, but situational. Maybe you cast a couple times per adventure (like right now at the factory), but most days it'll be something you won't use.
Maybe look into a couple scrolls of it. But those are expensive.
As for Janos, I'm now between Lunge and Favored Defense. Hard to turn away a passive AC boost to the AP's most common enemy. Deadly Aim is good for going with the original switch-hitter style, but Janos has taking more of a front-line role and we have Anton for taking down things at range. But level 9 is a gift to Drosil, Cornugon Smash to help his Shatter Defenses. Maybe even Dreadful Carnage at 11, though the Critical feats open up then.
I'll have a decision settled on later today and get the rest of his level up stuff in.

Tibi, Summon IV is strong because it gets you multiple Lantern Archons which have huge benefits and flexibility!
Healing is also good, but what are you trading to take it? Can we cover healing elsewise? I have CLW (d8+5/cast) and I know you already have CMW (2d8+7/cast) and Anton has LoH... I think our healing needs will really be more along the Restoration types. (yeah, that makes me hurt already)
How much do you *want* to focus on Summoning? Augment Summoning is amazing for a summoning machine, but blargh for someone that just summons in passing. And of course, what's the other one that lets you summon *extra* when you summon multiples?
What spells are you looking at Heightening or Extending?
Janos, Lunge over Favored Defense :)

That's pretty much where I was going :) Even when Summons are a full round action it can be a game winner. Especially if I drop the Haste, or Good Hope *after* the summons arrive ;) And again, this is where the summons get good, both in ability *and* duration!

Yep. I've just been spoiled by playing a gestalt bard/master summoner in our IRL game. He gets like 12 augmented superior summon mon. III per day all at minute per level duration and standard actions. He can field a whole army of elementals or bloody skeletons while invisible and buffing them all with bardsong (not the skellies they don't have brains). Great fun.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I decided I'm going to go with the summoning series of feats Jelani outlined. It feels a bit weird to start something like that this late in the game, but I think it's the best decision. I like the idea of Tibideau getting into summoning. His level 12 patron spell is Create Undead, not a summoning spell, but it does involve making something that he can control. Though I'd love to see all of your reactions to Tibideau casting it, especially Anton's reaction. Tibideau isn't Good, so he would probably have an easy time justifying it to himself. Something about all the horrors he's seen warping his mind. I like the idea of Tibideau getting a bit too excited over Speak with Dead and his earth elementals and then going a tad crazy.

Summoning will give our sneak attackers a few more flank buddies too so it's never going to be a waste. Incidentally, seeing Tibideau summon undead is defeinitely going to be interesting for Anton!

Anton, don't we have a wand of Lesser Restoration? Unfortunately, you're the only one who can cast that spell. I'm really kicking myself for not taking the Endurance patron. But I made Tibideau a year and a half ago when I was more of a n00b.

When Janos is enlarged and Dantrian is wolfed out, I would be open to the two of us attempting a fastball special =)

Had a pretty morbid thought... assuming we go along the lines of B'yelka being horribly scarred, would she want to learn the Skinchanger's magic to keep herself perfect? *blech!*
Note: I am thinking *some* scarring after healing, but nothing major...

Jelani, can I clarify something?
When I detected evil on Grine and said he could just be a dick to his workers (paraphrasing there), you let me know that detect evil doesn't work that way and that to get an evil alignment you have to consistently commit evil acts.
Is that any different for these monks just because they are undead?
I just need to know the difference because I'm a bit torn as to what Anton Woukd do here depending on the ruling.
DM Jelani
What I was saying in this case, is that there are no non-evil undead that I'm aware of. Anything with the undead type is "evil" by default. Even when it's freshly created and hasn't done anything evil yet. Now, that's not necessarily true for something like a humanoid (Grine), who has to earn that "evil" metaphysical tag by consistently committing evil acts.
These zombies were created with alchemy, not necromancy, but their stat block still says LE. They seem to be sincere in saying they don't want to harm anyone, however they are still an affront to life and Pharasma's cycle in some sense. Their bodies should "rightfully" be microbe food, decay, and rejoin the cycle of life, as should their souls. No easy choice here.
Janos Ardeal
Yeah, that's part of the problem with Detect Evil and how alignment works. You could be a Hannibal Lector serial killer with only 2HD and you don't detect as evil at all. Meanwhile that 2HD Vampire who spends a thousand years helping rescue kittens does detect as evil.
Classic Paladin conundrum. Will mercy to an evil creature create more evil or is the mercy a justifiable good in its own right?
B'yelka Morfaine
Appealing to the Lawful side... they should be dead, not smart zombies. Their existence is an affrony to the natural order of things.
Plus, they're icky. :-)
Sad B'yelka isn't there to see this, but glad to not be involved in the strife! :-D

I'll be traveling unexpectedly for the rest of the week. I may or may not have internet, I'm not sure. Please run Janos as appropriate.
And Dantrian, I'm really going to miss these chats when you start turning!
B'yelka Morfaine
Tibi: Yes, but longer in front: B'yelka's new-do

Looks like the 1,000gp sums had already been added to each person's tab in the spreadsheet, so I updated Anton's bow, updated B'yelka's scorpion whip, added another courtier's outfit to her total (now 3) and sold the wand of hold person and added the money from that sale to B'yelka's purse.
Let me know if any other updates need to be made to the inventory log, folks!
