Well met one and all, Baladur Farwander, Clan Stonefist at yer service!
I'll cure what ail's ye, and ale ye to cure ye. I can guide ye on yer journeys in this world an' tha' next.-Baladur
Love it! I can see that inscribed in stone on a Dwarven bar. Or Temple. I think there the same building anyway.
This is gona be a great group, I can sense it.I'll get the game thread started a bit later. It will be a soft start as posting slows down on the weekend, but a start it will be.

Uraisa Ellsworth |

Definitely excited for the game to start.
Uraisa usually comes off as a little spacey and inexperienced at most manual type things. She's not dumb, she just doesn't pay attention to minute details that don't really capture her attention. Hope that doesn't frustrate people too much, LOL.

Professor Diggans Q. Finnegan |

Hi everyone! Say hello to Professor Diggans! I posted on the recruitment thread as well. Professor Diggans is a Gnome Summoner/Inventor whose eidolon is a mechanized cat that he believes he pulls from another dimension with vastly superior technology to ours. He pulls the various components through and then assembles the cat piece by piece during the summoning. He is constantly tinkering and examining the components to see how they work.

Uraisa Ellsworth |

For the record, I tinkered with Uraisa a bit. I switched out a trait to give diplomacy as a class skill, since we had no face skills covered at all, and I switched a Knowledge skill out so we would have all those basic Knowledges covered. If you are not ok with the changes, DM, let me know, and I'll switch them back.

All sounds good. I would expect a bit of adjustments once the entire party was selected.
Knowledge, diplomacy as related skills will be very handy.
Some minor adjustments after the introductory adventure may be allowed also once we all get a feel for the tone of the campaign and groups strengths and weaknesses.

Volta Delbove |

Hi,
I'm going to have to leave soon for family business but wanted to still chime in. Thanks for the diplomatic re-tool Uraisa, I noticed our party is quick, smart, and charm challenged, at least until the gnome summoner appeared, but a gnome gadgeteer as diplomat boggles my mind, so a wizard as the "face". Should be interesting. Hope no one thought I was over helpful with Robertus's character just trying to help and eager to start! Please check in Bobby, miss you already! Worked on a pic for Volta, please tell me what you think. (And yes I had some rotational issues with the pic.)
Game on soon! I'll be back in the evening. For a time check, it's about 12.45 P.M. Central time USA for me, as I post this.

Let me know when/what I need to do (like I see the characters tab above, will the GM put info there?)
I will be fleshing out my character profile with more of the Crunch info.
I kept watching the Recruitment thread and didnt see the new posts over here, have it properly bookmarked now, LOL. <--- Newb
One other question, is Robertus using a 20 point build?

The players section will auto populate with your name and avatar once someone makes a post to the game thread. It's a cool new feature that was just added last week by the Paizo team.
FYI; I'm home and starting to work on the first game post now. The wait is almost over.
It's been a couple of months since I played a face to face table top game. Yesterday I ran "We be Goblins" for a group. Lots of fun. Very different experience from the PbP version I just finished. It ended in a TPK! The PbP group survived, but just by the skin of their pointy little teeth. Fun was had by all.

DM Iron-Dice |

May of the maps and artwork will be from various Paizo modules and supplements. As such, I need to put them behind a password protected firewall so the general public can not see and download them.
Can everyone please shoot me an email from an account that I can sent you the password for the links, please. My gamer email is
iron-dice (at) drunkgoblin (dot) com
Please indentify what PC you are so I can track the request.
BTW, if someone has a better way of sharing the module artwork/maps that is acceptable to the awesome folks at Paizo, please let me know.
Absalom awaits! Last one there picks up the tab . . .

DM Iron-Dice |

Volta: I got your email. Thanks. I'll only use it If and when I start using passworded PDF links, so you can have the pwsd beforehand.
Your writing style is great. Please dont worry about impressing anyone. Just have fun and be yourself, or rater, be Volta.
My only suggestion is to put a large block of text like your appearance in a spoiler button so the text displays smooth on all devices, and the story is easy to follow.
Everyone: Somewhere on your own avatar page, one of the lines displays under your avatar on the campaigns character page. I think it's the name box.
If you all can make it say Name, Class, Level that would be great as ti would display on the character page like that. Make sense?
EDIT: Looks like the title pulls from the fill-in fields of Name, Class, Race, Level and HP,s. Cool!
If everyone could fill those out, even if you have the in a text block, that would be fantastic for an at-glance party summery.

I had some thoughts on background that, for brevity, did not make it into the original story. If you like it, maybe it will matter, if not no problem.
Kale was born to a noble family in Taldor, growing up a wild and athletic girl, not the lady she was to be. As young teen-aged girls do she fell in love with boy that came from a family that were enemies of her family. This forbidden love was discovered, so they grabbed money and jewelery and fled to Absalom, getting married on the ship, as Kale was in a delicate way. The money bought a modest estate where Kale and Quillian Delbove welcomed their twins into the world, and they raised them while doing their pathfinder duties.
If this fits with your plans OK, if not, changes are good. This was the inspiration for my character, what would the son of Lara marrying Romeo be like?
Oh, you can send me an email for any reason or quantity you like, I just don't want it spread around. Probably did not even need to say don't give it out but better safe then sorry.

Robertus Toreador |

Now that I have a chance to breathe, let's read and see where I can jump in at. Sorry about the delay, been a hectic few days thus far.
[EDIT]And in we go! Seems Robertus is always around when these wagon/cart accidents happen. Unfortunate for him, it made him late for the meeting.

Welcome!

Baladur Farwander |

She reaches the dwarf and slows her stride to match his.
My speed is 30 :) Yay for Desna and dwarven encumberance rules.
Having alot of fun, great roleplaying. But very confused why nobody will split off and take another target? It has been brought up several times, but nobody is jumping on it, people are just dancing around it......
:)

DM Iron-Dice |

To be fair, both approaches are valid.
Splitting into two groups would cover more ground.
The other side of the coin is that if/when combat or skills are needed, that could cause a problem.
Also, anyone that has spent time in the city, or who has the correct knowledge skills would know that these four erands cold eaisly be done in a day.
It did take all six of you to works out a broken wagon wheel after all.
Great fun so far! I love it.

DM Iron-Dice |

Hey guys, I'm having a blast. Love everyones personality and eagerness to post.
I'm going through (slowly) and entering everyone's PC into my Hero Labs. This was I can get a better feel for what each of you are doing. I may have some questions or comments just so I can taylor the game correctly for everyones style.
In random order the first person I took a deep look at is;
A 7 cha would be so annoying it would be like adventuring with a Goblin. Even an 8 would make you very unsociable. Any chance that could be looked at? Perhaps 16,15,12,11,10,10 or something else that you like. Scores will be able to get boosted in-game as we go on.

DM Iron-Dice |

oop, ran out of edit time.
You dialect and mannerisms are great fun. I really like the backstory and how the stats reflect that.
You can also choose a Dwarf race trait if you wish.
Theere are three skills listed on the alias page, but not the universal skills everyone gets. Some are negative due to armor and what not. Can the full list be posted?
Skills Acrobatics -6, Climb -4, Escape Artist -6, Fly -6, Knowledge (Religion) +4, Ride -6, Sense Motive +7, Stealth -6, Survival +8, Swim -4
Question; How does the channel energy ability work? I'm a bit unsure of than.

DM Iron-Dice |

Noted and updated. Which four racial traits were you talking about? Looking on the Pathfinder OGC Wiki, I see about 10 to pick from.
Also made adjustments to Robertus's stats. Turns out you need a 13 int for Combat Expertise, so...
The only ones Hero Labs is showing are;
Eye of TalentHeart of the Fields
Heart of the Streets
Heart of the Wilderness

Baladur Farwander |

Volta Delbove |

DM, you and Robertus are talking about two separate things here. There are the racial traits as specified in the APG pg.8 under Races and there are Traits:subtype Race that is on page 331 APG.
The difference is explained in detail in the APG .pg8 in the first paragraph subtitled Racial Traits. Simply put racial traits and race traits are different things with different mechanics. Yep, it's very confusing. I think Robertus took the default human racial traits of extra feat and extra skill point. His traits are Threatening Defender- subtype Combat and Heirloom Weapon subtype Equipment. He choose not to take a race trait.

DM Iron-Dice |

@Volta- Awesome information. Thanks. I'll go study up on that. Its starting to make sense now.
@Robertus et all, just to be clear, there were two female and two male in that group. Three human, and one Halfling. Halfling was male. The others just did not have much of a part to play in Baladur's corruption of minors. :-)
. . . And it's his idea to visit a hospital for orphans. Hmmmm.
de wee tot just needs a nip of 180 proof stonefist cure all. Look how Ie' turn'd oot.

Volta Delbove |

Most people, even children, drank ales in Ye Olden Days, you would not want to drink most water unbrewed or unboiled. Have to go do stuff, will eventually post on Volta's reaction to the young lady's invitation.

Volta Delbove |

Yes, that would be a show stopper, I know that we are very charm challenged, only the gnome is really charismatic and he is rather flamboyantly bizarre. That combined with very few good rolls in Diplomacy, means comical, but unrewarding results.
