Death in Church Round 3

Nemoris sinks 3 arrows into Ike in a tight grouping causing him to grimace in anger right before he annihilates Dalamus and sinks below the ice wall.

Magma steps forward on the stairs and beats the zombie nearest him nearly into pieces, but it lumbers forward on barely held together limbs, its resistance to the bludgeoning holding it together.

The bone devil continues its assault on Epik and then 5 foots away and disappears from sight, laughing as it does so.

Sam flies west out of the silence and into the stairs casting a spell that sucks the air out of the room next to him. The coautl also flies west, casting silence at the tip of the wall of ice where Ike just disappeared. (on map)

Nemoris holds his action, awaiting Ike or the wraith to pop out and be visible. Ike can be heard faintly praying for a spell, but he doesn't appear.

Epik steps forward and attacks where the bone devil was and is rewarded with a satisfying crunch of bone as his blade bites deep once.

The archons swarm over the wall after the vision of evil death and shoot light rays down at Ike. You hear the priest curse. Nowzai's elemental joins the fray as the wizard levitates up to get a better command of the battlefield.

Sam will wait for the Wraith to appear again if once it does recall Daylight and cast it on his sword and make sure that the wraith is in it by moving. If for some reason I can't cast it on my sword I will cast it on my scroll case or something like that. Shouldn't matter really

But I will wait until it appears again unless it's already out


Death in Church Round 5

Init: Magma, Bone Devil, Sam, Tlanextic, Dalamus, Ike, Epik, Nowzai, Zombies, Nemoris, Wraith

Dalamus:
The pain of having your soul ripped from your body by unholy energy is excurciating but you get the sense that it will end as you pass into blackness and then into a silvery ocean of swirling light. You immediately become aware of a vast collection of transluscent images flowing like schools of fish through a tremendous silver thread winding as far as the eye can see. Tendrils of smaller threads feed this larger one ... the River of Souls, you realize. The path to the Boneyard, where everyone stands in judgement.

However the pain of the spell doesn't go away and you look down at your hands and see that you, too, are transluscent, but your hands are beginning to unravel!

You hear a familiar voice ... that from the Mantis Blade ... but this time its audible and in front of you you see a giant silvery-black mantis with sawtooth blades as limbs instead of pincers.

Dalamus ... He who walks in Blood needs you to continue to serve and can stop this annihilation of your soul. But you must decide now and you must commit to him wholly, your soul given over to rightful murder and you shall become our instrument on Golarion. Do this and he will return you. Reject the offer and your soul will be annihilated and you will never know what lies at the end of that River

The creature waves a jagged blade arm at the thread behind you.

Magma hammers the zombie in front of him with a series of blows and moves 5 feet up the stairs.

The scorpion devil reappears balanced delicately on top of the wall of ice, 10 feet in the air and lashes out at the elemental, his movements eerily quiet as he fights within the silence.

To hit: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (14) + 18 = 32; Damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (2, 3) + 5 = 10; make a DC20 fort save or have its speed reduced by 5 feet.

Sam moves next to Nowzai's elemental and awaits the wraith. Or casts daylight ... not sure. Please adjudicate ... the wraith is visible as shown on Roll 20

Tlanextic fires a couple of fiery rays from its eyes at the wraith, one striking it solidly.

Isaac walks on air about 10 feet above the floor, out from the west side of the wall, laughing when he departs the silence and casting a spell drawing AoOs from the elemental and Sam.

He points his hand at Sam and pulls it back grasping and Sam feels all the air go out of his lungs. (You are staggered for 1 round; Make a DC20 Fort Save or go unconscious next round)

The spell is suffocation

@Epik & Nowzai ... your target has moved signficantly, you may update your actions. Need Sam's resolution on his action ... daylight or no? I will assume Nemoris continues to shoot at the wraith on his turn unless I hear something else

The elemental misses it's opportune attack but Sam strikes a beautiful pose and slashes his blade across Ikes throat, but it passes right through him without harm. The priest laughs as he moves to finish his spell.

Magma moves up and strikes a telling blow on the nearby zombie.

The bone devil leaps off the ice wall to engage Sam, flying over like a character from a Kung fu movie twirling kicks and claw punches as the two engage in the air above the fray.

The mantis cocks it's head and although it isn't visible, you get the sense it's smiling.

(Assuming he isn't stunned) Sam crushes the devil with a vicious electrically charged blow but the electrical spell discharges harmlessly against the creature's innate spell resistance. His blade cuts through bones however and the outsider stumbles, barely standing. (You get the sense that Ike is somewhere within 10 to 20 feet of you, near the wall)

Tlanextic flees north as he does so he hears the sound of spellcasting as he passes just north of Ike's illusion.

Magma, Sam, and Nowzai feel a wave of confusion overcome them (elemental too, if it isn't immune), (DC19 Will Save or be confused as per the spell. Roll a d100 at the beginning of each round to determine your action: link here)

Epik fires and the devil deflects the arrow easily and consciously with its tail.

The elemental smashes the devil with a massive fist and crushes it to the ground into a pile of bones and then follows up with a strike on the zombie, some of the blow absorbed by the creature's dead flesh. The archons all miss the wraith who springs out of the wall to lashe out at Epik and then return.

Nemoris awaits the wraith shooting it twice and disrupting it's essence quite a bit with magic imbued arrows. It continues on.

Magma pounds the final zombie into a pulp while Sam moves up hunting for Ike invisibly. He doesn't have to wait long as he senses and invisible attacker right in front of him. Unfortunately, he's not casting a spell, he's swinging a weapon and Sam is unprepared for it getting slashed twice. Ike's illusion acts out the actions but the blade strikes come from the north.

Magma babbles something incomprehensible as Sam casts glitter dust in a burst of light. A blinded stumbling Ike appears north of him waving a massive sword ... actually 7 dancing images of Ike appear just north of Sam

Sam takes a few swings smashing a pair of images. Ike chokes and can't breathe or speak and swings wildly at where he thinks Sam is, but the tiefling avoids it easily.
