Before we approach the flophouse, would like to cast preparatory spells: stoneskin, magic circle vs evil, resist fire, levitate, shield.

Nowzai will hang back and stand ready for imminent hostilities.

Before heading to the flophouse Sam will also prep a few spells.

Fly, Mirror Image 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6, Long Arms, Heroism, Greater Invis Shield and then Haste on everyone as the last spell before we get there.

Sam will be flying above the party, looking for an opportunity to attack if the creature turn hostile

With Longarms and Lunge I have a 15' reach


Sam, check the duration on those spells. 10 min per level, on your way, sure. 1 min per level you wouldn't cast until the man told you to turn down the alley. You can get a few in 1 rd/level spells ... tell me when.7

Albative Barrier is a cast when I wake up as it's hours per level. So I will have Heroism, Fly as 10 min, then Greater Invis, Long Arms, Mirror Image and will hold off on Haste and Shield until we need it

Growling and brandishing, Epik and Nemoris bow up to the massive creature ... their strong, steely words seem to perplex the creature for a moment before it huffs and snorts, pawing at the ground.

"You try and trick me with deceitful words, small man in metal. Answer my question or I will crush you nonetheless to be sure. Did you or did you not destroy the All-Father's home?"

The creature continues to swirl its chain menacingly.

Didn't hear back from Magma about casting a spell, but I will assume not at this point. Note it takes a minute to intimidate ... so we will assume that amount of time goes by now in this exchange

Literally appearing out of nowhere in the front of the alley (behind you) are three unique humanoids.

A platinum haired, blue eyed albino man dressed in white and ice blue robes shimmering with multiple images, a bald and pierced half orc charging forward with a wickedly barbed greatsword and a cloaked and hooded woman whose body is shrouded in black mist, a symbol of Norgorber hanging from her neck and short blades naked in her hands.

There will be a surprise round. Any hostile actions require initiative, so no invisibility or movement based on fighting the beast, yet

Alley Ambush Surprise Round1

Sam actually acts first since the first action of the round is the teleport spell. I will post the other 2 opponents' actions and retcon if necessary for Sam's action

Moving with unatural speed, the wraithlike rogue splits into two images as she glides forward her eyes blazing with unnatural light. With a flick of her wrist a shield appears almost out of nowhere on her left arm and her right hand sprouts a coal black rapier that seems to suck the light out of the air as she moves. She gets to Nowzai before he's able to levitate up, shoving her blade into his side ... it's dark energy sucking at the fabric of his soul and causing his vision to fade to black. (Take an additional 2d6 ⇒ (2, 6) = 8 negative energy damage, (Will Save DC20 for half) on top of the damage below in the melee attack. Also, make a DC20 Fort Save or be blinded)

Right next to her, nearly in time with the woman, the horc rages along, blood-flecked lips hungry as he, too, targets Nowzai specifically, avoiding the easier to target Nemoris driving his blade squarely through the wizard's shoulder blades. (Stoneskin will reduce damage from both attacks ... may not kill you outright, then. Standby for Sam's retcon action. Any retcon will use the same rolls below, however)

Suprise continued

Sam flies up and up until he can hear again, turning down and casting his spell. Just as he's finished, there's a snap in his mind as his final casting of magic is cutoff as if countered. There is no visible caster in sight, but the half-orc grins as a magical glow on his left hand slowly fades out. Perplexed, the magus changes tactics mid air.

Alley Ambush Round 1

Init: Magma, Dalamus, Kennock Brage, Sam, Epik, Zaenna Quespin, Nemoris, Nowzai (down & bleeding), Tulaak Gar, Jenya, Zarik Dhor

Quickest to react, the stone faced Magma swings about and hammers the orc repeatedly. The raging warrior makes an excellent parry but the stonechilde's sheer strength pounds through his guard. As the orc takes damage, however Magma notices that his arms and neck begin to bulge larger in size straining at the bindings on his mail armor causing it to shift out of place.

Dalamus disappears and moves quickly to Nowzai's side.

The white-haired mage points a finger at Dalamus and waggles his finger, obviously staring right at the invisible rogue. However, he looks past the half-elf at Jenya. With a rod in his free hand, he fires a spell at the priestess without moving his lips. Three rays of icy blue shoot forth at her striking her plate and encrusting her in cold and ice and nearly sending her to her knees.

Spellcraft DC19:

The spell is scorching ray, modified with cold energy

Sam disappears and moves forward (I assume you stop 15 feet away? If not, move yourself) as Epik enhances his blade and takes a step. (Not sure if you moved your token or not)

The misty woman lunges out over the wizard's bleeding body and thrusts her rapier at Jenya striking her square in the breast plate and causing the frozen metal to crack. The rogue continues through, her black blade puncturing the priestess' heart and the unholy blackness sucking her face gray. She withdraws the blade and Jenya slumps to the ground, a lifeless husk. She then turns to Nemoris, jabbing twice at the ranger as well, but while the ranger is still stunned, his enhanced armor protects him from harm.

At Nemoris ... waiting his action. Nowzai make a stabilization check
