Please post here and introduce your self and your character. Give your background in PFS and PbP and a little about your percieved role in the party.

DMK here. This is Fenchil Theji, the half-elf tainted-blooded ranger. (infernal bloodline, in case he ever goes sorcerer). Due to the destruction of his village by a rogue Bralani, he is now an avid believer in the values of society. For him, this logically brings him into the camp of the Andoran idealists, which value the rule of the people above all. Admittedly, the logic may be lost on some Taldan or Cheliax denizens, for whom rule by nobility is the norm.

Fenchil is the first PFS character I ever built, and is a pretty standard fare ranger.

I'm still waiting for the chronicle from by PbP-day game, but it shouldn't materially affect the character (there might be a wand of CLW difference). I apologise for not having all stats in the profile, I will update as soon as possible.

DM, any format you prefer for the header?

Surly and unshaved, a man smelling of dirt and animals walks in without so much as a word or a glance in anyone's direction. Making his way to an unoccupied stool, he sits heavily on the furniture and places down his bow and pack to his side.

Pulling off one of the studded leather gloves covering his hand and forearm, he wearily placed the grime-covered fingers to his lips as he gave a shrill whistle. Moments later, as if in reply, the piercing cry of a bird of prey rang out as a small dot in the horizon steadily grew larger until finally, a majestic, powerful hawk made a beeline straight to the man's unattended, gloved arm. As if practiced time and time again, the hawk landed gracefully on the man's outstretched wrist as he rubbed the bird's head as if it were no less ferocious than a puppy.

Resting calmly in the stool with the bird on his wrist, the man turned to the others, his gruff voice matching his manner as he spoke calmly and cooly to those gathered.

"...the name is Banon. Banon Thrune. And this..."

Looking to his bird, he gave the hawk one last pet with a fond smile.

"...is Fion."
-----------------------------------------------
crthesis here. Character name is Banon Thrune, the Chelish Falconer. After losing his wife, child, and his eye to rampaging demons, Banon took up his bow and began a one-man vendetta against the foul creatures. Operating as a Pathfinder of Cheliax, he explores the lands for demonic corruption, reports such evils, and cooperates with those he trusts to stamp out those that tamper with such magicks.

I've played in a few PbP's already, but it'll be my first with this particular character.

And as far as party role goes, I figure Banon to be a ranged attacker with a mix of scouting and tracking thanks to his animal companion and a high Survival skill.

Pedwiddle here, with Castien Galondiir. I've created a number of characters, but this is one I'm really hoping works out well. Right now, I'm playing him as a switch-hitter - next level, when he's relying on mage armor for defense, we'll see...

If you must know my name it is Culsar Rankil.

A tiefling witch, Culsar did not show his devil side until he was nearly out of his teens. Though only showing some small horns, his small town eventually shunned him to the point that he left his parents and his home in order to find somewhere he could be accepted. He eventually found a village with other outcast races like half-orcs and other tieflings where he could be accepted for his character and not his appearance or race. However it still was not home.

Once settled he took on the teachings of witchcraft and hexes and decided to take to the road, wherever that will lead him has yet to be determined.

RyckyRych, nice to meet those I have yet to game with and its good to see those again that I have. I've been on these boards about 6-8 months now and its been a terrific experience. I'm still learning about PF and PFS stuff but these games have been great to learn from.

Kellean Kalyer sits quietly in the back of the room, trying to be unassuming, at least as far as possible given her obvious aasimar heritage. She is abnormally pale, with seemingly luminescent skin, and short, yellow-gold hair that sometimes appears to drift in an imperceptible breeze. You may recognize the surname as having Taldane roots, "Kalyer" being a form of "collier", one who makes or sells coal.

Indeed, Kellean's parents - seemingly normal humans - were colliers - the poorest of the poor, harvesting wood and making charcoal to sell for a few coppers per heavy bag. Her family were also devotees of the Dawnflower in Taldor, making her doubly the lowest social and economic rank in that formally stratified society. Eventually, she was called to the service herself, although her knowledge of religion and such topics is at the level of the laity, given where she developed her connection to the Goddess. She was saved from a murderous purge by a group of Pathfinders - there on another mission - and spirited away to safety in Qadira.

There she tended to the poorest of the poor, eventually earning a church sponsorship to the Venicaan College of Medicaments and Chirurgery, studying medicine.

She never forgot the Pathfinders, though, joining them when she graduated, seeking to spread the light of the Dawnflower through the great Society. While her primary loyalty is to the Grand Lodge, she seeks to help all of good will, especially the Silver Crusade and the Andorans.

"Hello and Well met, all. I am Kellean Kalyer, and I am a healer and servant of Sarenrae."

~~

Kellean is a healing cleric, pure and simple, with the Sun and Restoration domains and the selective channeling feat. She brought down an opponent with her scimitar in her first and only mission so far, but that is likely going to be rare. She prefers diplomacy, and is the first to rush to save the lives of downed opponents, believing in redemption as does Sarenrae.

I am Matt Chambers, a stay-at-home dad of a 2-year-old boy, trying to stay sane with some online gaming while my wife goes through an accelerated nursing school program. I live in the Portland, OR, area.

I started PF about a year ago, last having played a little 3.5 quite a few years ago and some AD&D 1e as a kid. I started PFS PbP a little more than 6 months ago, quickly starting up as a GM here (as GM FurtiveZoog), as well. I've had the pleasure of having GM DoctorEvil in 4 games so far.

Sorry, a little more, now that I have some uninterrupted time.

I've been gaming for over two decades, having played D&D (1st, 2nd, and 3rd editions), Shadowrun (2nd, 3rd, and 4th editions), and now Pathfinder. I've been doing PbP for a bit more than a year, most of it here on the paizo boards. It's only recently (the past 6 months or so) that I really got into PFS play, but it fits my attention span a bit better.

I also only recently figured out the rules on replaying scenarios, so I'm going to be cutting down significantly on my PFS play - I don't want to run out of low-level scenarios to play, so I'm going to focus on one or two characters from this point on, and get them up to a reasonable level before I miss out.

Also, while I have been considering doing some GMing here, I don't really have the time to commit to it - I have a wife, four kids, two jobs, and a house to keep up. :-)

Castien - Yeah, PbP PFS is great for a little gaming here and there in the day when you don't have any large, uninterrupted blocks of time for game days. Actually, although F2F has its obvious advantages, if I had to pick one I would pick PbP now, I think, since I also get to see such great role-playing.

Banon - Kellean will be the stand-out character, then. ;-) (Low Dex)

One thing we could do while we are waiting to start (unless DM DoctorEvil would prefer otherwise) is figure out the inevitable marching order. I usually put Kellean at the back since she's the healer and not a very effective figher, but has better HP and FF AC that Culsar, our witch. (No arcanist yet?) Middle is also good so that she can easily heal ahead or behind.

Kellean could also loan Culsar her Wand of CLW to give two characters battlefield healing capability.

My preference for up front is always high AC, preferably high FF AC in case of surprise or lost initiative. High Perception is always good, too.

Some personal introduction: I'm a Dutchy - mid-thirties, married, no children - who, for some reason, doesn't seem to be able to settle at any fixed place, constantly moving around Europe. I've been playing pathfinder for a couple of months now, mostly on the PbP boards here (both as a player and as DM Kludde). I'm travelling a lot, and posting on the forums is a great way to while away the time during long waits or long train runs.

Before, I've been playing (2nd ed) AD&D with friends, and went of a long hiatus as the regular group of friends moved all over Europe (including myself). I've always really enjoyed the Ad&D Planescape setting with its philosophical weirdness - DM Kludde is a bit of an homage to the Yugoloth race of that setting (they're called Daemons nowadays).

Castien will opt to go in front - he's not great for armor/perception, but he doesn't have precise shot, so if it came down to it, he'd be more useless in the back. Still, to help, I'm gonna go ahead and upgrade his armor a touch - Studded Leather to MW Chain Shirt.

Since PBP Gameday 2 is mustering now, curious if you guys want to stick together for a scenario or two qualifying for boons etc that way?

If so, what do you want to run? I have been trying to knock out the Year zero stuff, but can do nearly any. Any favorites or thoughts?

I would probably pick one I've played but not run otherwise like, The Disappeared, The Pallid Plague, Night March of Kalkamedes, Slave Pits of Absalom, or Dalsine Affair.

Male Half-Elf Ranger 1/Sorcerer 1 | HP 23/23 | AC 16 (17 with MA), T 13, FF 13 | Init +3, Perc +7 | FRT +4, RFX +5, WIL +2 | SPD 30ft

I haven't played that one either - I would love to do so!

That will be the one, then. I will register it and set up a site to dot. It will be low tier, so feel free to bring this character or any other.
