Togog Treesplitter
Glass crunches under my heavy dwarven boots. I long to hurry, but force myself to take my time - even as I curse myself for wasting it, earlier, chasing rumours of giants that'd proved to be no more than that. I'd missed the cathedral's dedication. I'd missed a goblin attack, and innocents had died, when I could've healer or protected them.
They were with their gods, now.
Above, I heard the clang of steel-on-steel, and threw caution to the wind, charging up the stairs towards the sounds of battle...
I'll make the attack post when the initiative order rolls around as discussed!
Enna
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Another burst of flames fires forth from Enna's hand to fall harmlessly past its target.... frustration flashes a crossed her face.
DM Crispy
Using the combined might of his sword arm and divine grace, Herri swings his sword in a powerful arc, cleaving the goblin in front of him, finally dropping another of their foes.
Nover again swings blindly from behind his shield, using the swings to gain a respite from the multiple goblin attacks.
Zella again fires, but her aim is a bit off again. Perhaps she has an aversion to slaying goblins.
Enna again sends her fiery bolt forward, but is off the mark yet again.
Elaina finishes her spell, standing back and assessing the situation to see if her assistance was needed. Two of the goblins (blue and gray) instantly fall asleep, their companions' bloodlust preventing them from thinking to wake them up.
Green Will: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 18

A goblin steps up to Herri and cackles as it swipes at the cleric.

Meanwhile, two goblins attack the stalwart dwarf Nover. He manages to avoid the licking flames of the one, but takes a minor gash across the his cheek from the other.

End of Round 3:
Nover took 1 damage
Herri felled 1 goblin
Blue and Gray goblins are asleep
Party up, including Togog! Togog, I will say you can double move into the frame this round.
Togog Treesplitter
I charge up the stairs towards the sounds of battle, shouldering the door aside. The room is a confusing, tightly packed mass of people and goblins, with Nover right where I would've expected him, at the front, protecting his allies, every swing of his mighty warhammer smashing goblins aside, broken and bloody. I can see several already, slumped on the ground.
"Nover, my cousin," I shout, "receive my aid!"
Next round Togog will cast guidance upon Nover (+1 to a single attack roll, saving throw or skill check of Nover's choice)... I have to go out now, so I'll have to post my spell-list later. Guidance is 0th level though, so hopefully its fine
Herri Olderfin
Herri continues into the fray again striking toward the goblin in front of him.
"Nover I am coming, hold tight."
longsword: 1d20 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 12 bless, perform, magic weapon

Nover Romux
Continuing to hold his shield in tight and swings his hammer at the goblin with the tongs. A minor gash can be healed, fire is a bit different. It could singe his beard. Lining up his shot carefully he's been waiting for this.
"Good, now you are in my sights you little piece of trash. Taste hammer!"
Warhammer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 191d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 Red is taking a hammer to the face. Oh I should probably mention this, my AC to confirm against me is +1 higher due to my 1st level ability that replaces fast movement.
Is that Togog's voice? No matter, I'll worry about that later, first let me fight.
Elaina Newberry
I can't do anything from here! The excited Elaina tries, perhaps unwisely, to rejoin the melee. If she were more versed in combat she might suggest the group re-positions to where only one goblin could threaten them at a time. Alas, she is no master tactician.
Acrobatics VS Light Green's CMD: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
If acrobatics wins VS LG's CMD, Elaina moves through its space and ends movement in the sleeping goblins square, then turns to attack LG. If the check fails, Elaina falls prone in Novers square and provokes an AOO from LG.
Arcane Strike: 1d20 + 4 + 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 4 + 2 + 1 + 2 = 17
Non-Lethal Magic Damage: 1d6 + 4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 1 + 2 = 11
Intimidate if attack hits: 1d20 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 6 + 4 = 24

Since it doesn't look like there's much room, I'll follow through on my prior post and case guidance on Nover

Since it doesn't look like there's much room, I'll follow through on my prior post and case guidance on Nover
Prepared Spells: 1st level: Domain (good), Protection from Evil; Bless; 1 slot unprepared. 0th level: Guidance (used), Detect Magic, 1 unprepared.
Sounds good, Togog...you can cast 0 levels an infinite number of times per day, but I'm going to rule that you have to choose them at the start of the day. So go ahead and fill that third 0-level slot, please.
Enna
Rather than waste her dwindling supply of finite energies, Enna moves to her tried and true repertoire of little magics.
"This is just stupid."
A small jet of acid flings from her hand as she takes a step forward.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
1d3 ⇒ 2
Green goblin
DM Crispy
Herri is unable to replicate his previous success, whiffing on his attempt to slay the next goblin in line.
Nover swings wildly from behind his shield, and his luck holds firm this time as he feels a satisfying thud reverberate through the handle of his hammer. A quick peek over his shield is enough to confirm that the goblin with the hot tongs is out of commission.
Zella again fires into the melee. Her aim improves, but the goblin's sudden movement to the side makes the missile miss by inches.
Enna grows frustrated and decides to conserve her more powerful spells and abilities, instead opting to shoot a small glob of acid at the goblin in front of Herri. Her aim is true as the goblin howls in pain!
Elaina grows irritated at the tight confines, seeking to gain tactical advantage by twirling through the goblins' areas to strike at their rear. Unfortunately, her efforts are stymied by Nover, and she ends up flat on the floor right beside the dwarf. The goblin tries to swing at the dancer, but is unable to follow her to the floor.
Green AOO: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Elaina shrugs it off and stabs forward anyway, but the awkward position she is in causes the strike to be off the mark.
Togog rushes forward to attempt to help, but finds the way to his cousin blocked. He remains behind the melee, wondering when he can rush in to help.
Another goblin moves up to take the place of the one Nover felled. He proceeds to swing at the dwarf, along with the other two that threaten him. All three attacks ring futilely against the dwarf's mail and shield.
Teal Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Grey Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Blue Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Meanwhile, the injured goblin in front of Herri hisses at him and attempts to stab him. The dogslicer bites deep into Herri's armpit through a crease in his armor.
Green Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Green Confirm: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Summary:
Nover killed red goblin.
Green goblin took 2 from Acid Splash.
Herri took 4 from Green Goblin.
Elaina is prone in Nover's square.
Party Up!
Nover Romux
Lowering his shield at the felled red goblin, Nover swings at the goblins replacement.
"Be careful Elaina, hopefully I'll be clearing out some room for you in a..." Nover grunts out the last word as he swings. "Moment!"
You wouldn't be able to guess, but by his tone of voice Nover was smirking.
"It may be stupid Enna, but then again so are goblins. Ha ha!"
Warhammer: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 6 + 1 = 161d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 Thank you for the guidance on the to hit roll :)
Elaina Newberry
I should be prone in Herri's square, since that would have been my last legal square. My mistake!
"Heeeeerriiii!", Elaina whines, scrambling behind his legs after bouncing off the goblin to hide from the little green monsters blade. "You're ruinin' my plans!"
I guess I'll just hang out in Herri's square for a while and throw him a going away party. I should have picked up a shortbow to contribute better in situations like this... Bless 5/10; End Perform
Enna
Seeing success with the first glob, Enna tosses another one in to the mix.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
1d3 ⇒ 1
She curses a bit as her luck continues to run to the bad.
DM Crispy
Herri commands the goblin in front of him to die, but the creature stubbornly refuses, ducking away from the sword's swing.
Nover, on the other hand, manages to crunch another goblin with a bit of divine inspiration, smirking as only dwarves can when goblins go splat.
Zella is trying to contribute, but apparently needs to practice firing into frantic melees more often, as her missile again is off the mark.
Enna sends another glob of acid at the goblin, but it deftly avoids it this time.
Elaina blames Herri for her failed attempt to slide through the thicket of swords and hammers swinging, choosing to just lie on the floor and wait for an opening to appear.
Togog remains out of reach of the melee for the moment, so he decides to improve Nover's luck once again!
Three goblins (no more replacements after this, thankfully) attack the sturdy dwarf Nover. All three bang ineffectively against his trusty shield and armor, failing to penetrate.
Gray Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Teal Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Blue Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
The goblin in front of Herri cackles madly as it swings again at him. It's bloodlust hampers its judgment, and its swing is so far off it would be doubtful it was even swinging at Herri if it wasn't a goblin.
Green Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Summary:
1 more goblin down, yay!
Party Up!
Nover Romux
Shrugging off the tiny blades, Nover growls at the goblins.
"You annoy me, your blades are weak." They have dogslicers right? Well the green one just rolled a 1, does it break?
Warhammer: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 1 = 91d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Unfortunately his swing goes wide by the new replacement goblin. Nover would have to get his bearing once more.
Togog Treesplitter
"Nover!" I shout, as he swings wildly, the second blow missing where the first had been crushing. "None of you could hit the wall of the cavern!" I protest, as arrows, acid-gobjules, swords and warhammers swing and fly wildly. With a snarl, I pull my crossbow from my back, dropping a bolt into the weapon and cocking the firing lever...
Elaina Newberry
Acrobatics to avoid AOO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Elaina crawls away from the battle and ends up behind the newcomer. "Where do you dwarves keep comin' from?" She remains on the ground, picking glass from her hands and knees and looking 'up' expectantly at the new dwarf. "Are you gonna help or what?"
Two move actions to crawl ten feet east.
Enna
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Jenna flicks another ineffectual glob of acid in the direction of the goblins. The reassurance she felt at the new dwarf's arival was slowly becoming eclipsed by the frustration of missing her target and his already grating attitude towards the situation. She was a scholar, not a soldier, and the talk she was planning out in her mind would have to wait till after the fight died down.
Zelladanyia
attack: 1d20 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 2 + 1 + 1 = 12
damage: 1d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 1 = 3
A very frustrated Zella fires off yet another arrow at whatever goblin she can get a clear line of fire at.
I swear I will be getting in a lot more target practice after this. I can't seem to hit shit.
DM Crispy
Herri gets a bit luckier with his next swing, and combined with the damage sustained from Enna's earlier acid strike, the creature falls to the ground, convulsing.
Nover continues to turtle up, his unaimed swat hitting only air as the goblins seem to get the timing of his swing down.
Zella fires again at the goblin combatants, and another arrow joins its fellow across the room, forming a nice stack of kindling.
Enna again misses with her thrown acid glob, the growing pool of acid forming next to the steadily increasing pile of arrows.
Elaina crawls through the legs of her fellows, regaining her feet.
Togog retrieves and loads his crossbow, tossing disparaging remarks at his cousin.
The remaining three goblins desperately swing their weapons at the heavily armored dwarf, seeking a purchase for their crude weapons. In their growing fear, they only half-heartedly attempt to strike the dwarf, their eyes darting about, looking for avenues of escape.
Grey Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Teal Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Blue Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Blue Break?: 1d100 ⇒ 5 Over 50 is bad for DM
I would have rolled for the break, but Herri's swing made it a moot point.
Summary:
Green Goblin is now out for the count!
Party Up!
Togog Treesplitter
"Damnit," Togog snaps, as the green goblin collapses, opening a path for him to reach the others... just as he's drawn and cocked his crossbow. With a snarl of frustration, he lets fly at the brown goblin directly before him.
1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 2 - 4 = 10, 1d8 ⇒ 8
Elaina Newberry
Elaina jumps to her feet, content she's got rid of the biggest pieces of glass. Her frustration with her inability to help continues to grow. "You're not doin' anything you're just in my way."
Have a standard action left. If Herri moves up I'll move behind him. If not, move to F6 so Enna can see.
Enna
Enna just watches as Herri carries the day almost single handed. Just not worth it some days.
DM Crispy
Herri steps up and smites another of the creatures, the goblin dropping from the grievous wound.
Nover continues to hide behind his shield and swat ineffectually at goblins.
Zella's arrow is much better aimed, but her having to adjust for Herri and Nover's bulk proves to be too much as the arrow sails wide of the goblin. The goblin still has cover...precise shot only gets rid of the -4 for shooting into a melee. Improved precise gets rid of it all, I believe.
Enna just chillaxes, waiting for Herri to finish the goblin murder.
Elaina politely moves out of the way so Enna can watch Herri and Nover with less obstruction.
Togog thinks that Zella should not be the only one adding to the pile of missiles at the other side of the room, sending his crossbow bolt over to join it.
Recognition finally dawns on the stupid creatures' faces as you continue to whittle down their numbers.
One of the beast cries out in the goblins' guttural tongue.
They both turn and flee, invoking the wrath of Nover and Herri. Neither goblin gets away as both the barbarian and cleric fell the remaining two beasts!
Nover AOO: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Herri AOO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Combat over, hurray!
Elaina Newberry
Embarrassed and angered by her poor perfomance, Elaina looks for someone to lash out at. She points her scimitar at the stranger. "Your timing's too convenient. Who are you? Why are you following us? Where's Ameiko?!"
Togog Treesplitter
"Your suspicion in the heat of battle is understandable," I pause, "but unfounded, may Angradd strike me down. I'm a cleric of Angradd, sent here by my church to represent them at the consecration of the cathedral." I nod. "More importantly, I'm Nover's cousin. I felt... something owing, there. His family slaughtered by goblins, mine, by giants. I neglected of my responsibility... I believed the structure provided by the army would benefit him, as the cloister benefited me..."
"Then, on my way here, I heard rumours of giants raiding settlements, and tarried to investigate. I learned little, but because of my delay, goblins slew many in this city. Those people needed Angradd's clergy to protect them, to heal their wounds - and I was not here, and now they are dead." Togog seems stoic, but there are many small signs of his distress. "As to the timeliness of my arrival, at the rate you were killing those goblins, you might've still been here had I arrived next week," Togog pauses, before continuing grudgingly. "Not that my own shot faired any better. I'm more proficient with my axe."
Nover Romux
Nover nods in agreement.
"Aye he is. Related by blood on my mother's side. It is good to see you Togog. Alas I apologize for not slaying the goblins sooner. One of them left a rather large dent in my warhammer on my way in."
He holds up his warhammer showing the dent the Black goblin left The AoO crit.
"I have to get used to this or I'll have to ask to borrow a weapon or use my dagger. My armor is sturdy enough, but the one with the burning tongs was annoying. We best get moving though, who knows where Ameiko might be."
Herri Olderfin
Dripping in sweat and arms tired Herri feels a need for rest.
"Give me a moment people to clean my blade and look further into our future."
Herri steps off to the side to a clearing, sits down an randomly pulls a card from his belt ouch. After looking at it his eyes dart open and he jumps to his feet. He sheathes his sword puts away the cards and begins his exit from the factory.
"Alas my friends I must leave you for now for your own safety. My calling is beyond this town as there is urgent need for my servies in Magnimar. Good Bye all and good luck. Maybe our futures will collide."
He quickly shakes hands, hugs the ladies and says an open prayer to Iomedea for the party. Without further explaination Herri gathers his things and heads back toward the entrance and out the door.
Elaina Newberry
Elaina sheathes her unused sword and mumbles "I still think you were followin' us...". She kisses Herri goodbye, lamenting quietly to him that everyone she knew was turning into a dwarf. "More hordes of goblins in the middle of town that no one noticed. I'd say things are gettin worse, the problem's obviously not solved. Any clues here?"
Take ten to look for orders or something on the goblins. Can we assume Herri healed us up before departing or would you prefer not to, Crispy?
Elaina Newberry
"Nothin' important here. Let's keep goin', Ameiko needs us. You can come with us, Nover's cousin. I'll keep you safe."
Was there a door at the other end of the room?
Togog Treesplitter
"Nothin' important here. Let's keep goin', Ameiko needs us. You can come with us, Nover's cousin. I'll keep you safe."
"Togog," I complain, holstering my crossbow. "My name's Togog." I sigh, softly, kneeling over the body of one of the dead. "Poor soul," I murmur, closing his eyes. "May Angradd guard your journey into the arms of your god," I whisper, and with grim certainty repeat the task again, and again, and again, until its done and my eyes are wet with tears. "Your pardon, craftsman," I say, as I borrow the tongs from beneath one of the corpses. "Let's see if its something these craftsmen were forging that drew the goblins avaricious, evil eyes," I mutter, stepping to the forge and carefully poking the tongues within.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13 (+2 more if glass and forge counts as stonework.
DM Crispy
As you wander into the room, you see a chair set up in the central alcove. Togog finds nothing of import in the furnaces as Nover inches closer to the chair. It seems as though a veritable pile of glass has been poured over the chair, creating a sizable bulk of the stuff. As Nover peeks closer, he is startled to realize that there is a human being inside!
Enna
Enna looks on with disgust at the waste and destruction visited on the craftsman and their place of work. Little thought is given to the little beasts that bleed out, their lives forfeit to their own evil.
"Thank you for your aid Togog, timely intervention is always appreciated." Gruff tone belies the amount of worry that had originally been. "Dieing to goblins would have been very unfortunate."
