"BBsure, Ibb just don'bbt think he'll unbberstand me," Terri says with a grin.

Wednesday Daud |

Shrugging, but withholding a sigh so as to not make any more bubbly sounds, Daud swims back into the hold to try to get the shark to leave.
Handle Animal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
... Daud apparently has a good rapport with man-eating animals

Tolenn |

Tolenn hurriedly pulls herself down into the hold after Daud, shaking her head at his rashness. Pausing she waves the others closer with thier light sources.

DM Crispy |

Wednesday and Tolenn decide to enter the hull, swimming through the man-sized portal. Agitated, the shark circles on the far side of the hold, the rocky abutment hazy in the background. It immediately stops and starts to swim directly for the duo, it's jaws pulling back to expose many rows of razor-sharp teeth! Amira sees her companions' features tighten, and figures the shark is probably charging.

Seeing their reactions Amira swims closer to provide more light, at the same time calling upon the City's protection, a soft glow enveloping Tolen and Wednesday as well as Cassandra, Terri and herself.

DM Crispy |

Amira drifts down to the door, calling upon the protective energy she draws from the nearby City of Korvosa to help protect her relatively defenseless allies.
The shark plunges forward, jaws extended as it tries to bite Wednesday. Its powerful jaws easily force their way through the shield of Amira, clouding the water close by with the ranger's blood.
Shark Bite: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 10 + 2 = 18

Cassandra isn't in her element. These aren't rooftops and she feels clumsy and slow down here. So, she backs up and casts Mage Armor on herself.

Waving her hand to dissipate some of Daud's blood from the water in front of her, Tolenn swings her scimitar through the water, realizing too late that the water was impeding her efforts.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 8 - 2 + 1 = 15

DM Crispy |

Tolenn attempts to strike the shark with her scimitar. Too late she realizes the viscosity of the water will slow her strike. While on target, by the time it reaches the creature it just bounces off its rubbery skin.
Cassandra, feeling exposed in this arena, swims back a bit and cast a spell upon herself, a glimmering force surrounding her.
Wednesday has much the same problems as Tolenn, finding his weapon deflected by the shark's natural protections.
Terri casts a spell, holding along her holy symbol. While those around her mainly hear a jumbled mess, they feel a certain amount of divine vigor infuse them, a bit more confident than they were before.
Amira blurbs out a spell as well, and the green-skinned woman's spear starts to boil the water around it. The creature tries to toss it aside and does so, the boiling water bubbling around it as it sinks further into the hold.
Reflex: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
The shark, smelling Wednesday's blood, goes into a near frenzy, again trying to catch the ranger in its wide jaws. This time, the strong jaws of the creature are turned aside by the invisible force Amira summoned.
Bite: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
As everyone gets a good look at the hideous green woman, they feel a certain sapping of their strength, their vigor fleeing at the terrifying appearance of the creature. With the blessing of Shelyn, two members of the party are able to throw it off, but Terri is not so lucky, feeling her strength leave her.

Hearing a wizard yell for everyone to back away immediately throws a red flag up in Daud's mind, who promptly pushes into Tolenn to get her out of what he believes is the area that Cassandra will be blasting/electrifying/dissolving while motioning quickly for her to go through with it.

Amira Oenestria |

Tolenn again tries to slice the shark, doing a slightly better job this time. However, the water still slows her strike enough to keep the aquatic creature from any real harm.
Cassandra shouts out a warning to her companions to move so she can cast a spell, the words blubbling out of her mouth. Her gestures make it fairly clear what she is wanting, though.
Wednesday again hacks at the shark, putting his shoulder into the strike this time. The blade penetrates the thick hide of the shark even as it cuts through the water, more blood mingling in the area. The ranger then shoves Tolenn out of the hatch, waving for Cassandra to cast her spell.
Shrugging, the wily wizard commences to cast, a literal explosion of rocks and pebbles appearing inside the hold of the ship. Shark, Wednesday, and Hag-face each take 7
Tolenn blurbs out a prayer to Shelyn, asking for her goddess's blessing. The goddess responds, and Tolenn feels additional divine power surging through her musculature, hopefully to be able to fight her blade through the thick river water.
Amira swims clear of the hatch, aware that the hag can spellcast and not wanting to get tagged in an area of effect. She casts a defensive spell on herself, getting ready for confrontation.
The shark bares its horrifying rows of fangs once again, attempting to bite Wednesday yet again. Thick plumes of blood distort vision in the immediate area as the shark tears a nasty gash in the ranger's side.

DM Crispy |

Tolenn, feeling the flow of divine power flowing through her, punches forward with the sharp point of the dagger, finding purchase in the shark's smooth yet tough skin.
Wednesday's blow also finds its mark, though the water again deflects some of the power behind the swing. Still, more of the creature's blood flows out to mingle with the ranger's own.
Cassandra moves into a position to better see the shark that is steadily tearing Wednesday apart, conjuring a small orb of acid, then hurling it through the water at the beast. Even with the wild melee going on, she still manages to singe the creature.

Wednesday, meanwhile, heeds Amira's advice, quickly swimming over to the hag and slicing at her, opening a shallow gash on her arm.
