The unknown member of the Cow Hammer Boys swings open the door, his fellows crowding in around Tolenn.

The fellow by the door turns and grins at Gaius yet again, raising his Cow Hammer up, eager to join in the fun. Malder from the shop grins at Daud, motioning to Tolenn. "Come on! You want to stick this b~+@@ a few times, too?" His mouth hangs open in a leer grin, his foul breath managing to permeate the air around him.

The other fellow, the door guard from All the World's Meat, looks in the corner, brows bunching up. "Who the hell is that freak over there?"

Yep, I needed to confirm so I did the crit damage separately. It's 15 nonlethal and if he's really low on HD/wisdom he's frightened for one round and shaken for 15 rounds from Enforcer. I probably needed a 3 or for on my intimidate roll and got a one. But I cant complain about a crit. :-)

Oh I see you're adding the second damage to the first, usually I've seen it done as 2d# + 2xStr for the confirm damage. My bad.


The 'Hammer Boy' next to Gaius indeed does not surrender, possibly because Gaius brains him hard enough to drop the thug on his face, clearly unconscious.

Tolenn, the two inside show no signs of surrendering of any sort. Actually, they look rather please that you drew a weapon, regardless of the weird guy in the corner.

The two inside 'Boys get to work, attempting to stab Tolenn with their blades.

Door Guard Thug: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

The larger guard manages to sneak his blade inside Tolenn's guard, giving her a solid blow in the crease under her armpit. The other one manages to swing true, only to have the blow clang harmlessly off the paladin's armor.

Not updating the map, but the thugs moved to flank Tolenn. Party up! Act in whatever order you like.

Tolenn was a bit taken aback by the viciousness of the thug's attack, allowing one to defeat her guard. Betraying none of the annoyance she momentarily felt, her scimitar flashed as it wove a deadly skein towards the thug before her.

I'm assuming the enemies are at C3 and E3 and Pyron hexed the one at C3, since the southernmost one is unconscious. If I'm wrong, just move me accordingly.

Gaius steps into the room to cutoff the possible retreat of their foes (C4) and smashes the hilt of his sword into the temple of the "Boy" that Pyron bewitched.

Both remaining ex-guards carefully avoid all the blows aimed their way. The named one, Malder, sneers at Gaius and Daud as they 'turn' on the guards. "We'll still be cutting up your pretty, then your next, dog!"

Both men attack Tolenn again.

Large Guard: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 4 + 2 = 25
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 2 = 24

Caught between them, Tolenn doesn't know which way to defend and becomes confused. Both men catch her with their blades, the large man's sword driving deep. Tolenn drops heavily to the floor of the small home.

The large man then steps away from Daud and Vuk, not appreciating their tactical advantage.

Party up! Pyron, you actually go before the thugs, so I'll give you a chance to save Tolenn from this devastating attack.

Pyron moves to C2, while the thug was still at C3 and Gaius is at C4. He attempts to disarm the thug. disarm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17


Pyron, when you try to disarm while unarmed, you take a -4 penalty. Believe it or not, the 13 is still good enough. However, since you don't have the Improved Disarm Feat, he gets an AOO against you. Just wanted to explain ahead of time.

Pyron reaches forward, attempting to knock the weapon front the larger guard's grasp. The guard turns to the threat, swinging the sword he wields.

AOO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

The guard's weapon bites into Pyron's arm, but the aasimar has too much momentum and bulls forward, knocking the weapon from the thug's grasp.

All in all, a favorable exchange. Tolenn only takes 9 and does NOT fall.

As Tolenn takes the blow from the thug in front, the noise behind reveals how close she was to being skewered by that thug as well, has Put on not interfered.

With a silent thanks to her friend, she re- engaged with her thug, Ser Bauul's voice in her head ...the fancy stuff's nice and all, but a good simple slash is sometimes all you need...again....again...again...

The thug moved away from the flank. You are in Cell C4, as requested. Since Tolenn did not state movement, there is no flank bonus. 18 is still enough to hit.

Since the thug is still next to him, Pyron will take a swing with his morningstar against the thug (he should still have a -2 to AC for this round and two more rounds). to hit: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3. Then he will shift away from the thug, towards the corner where Pyron originally started.


Gaius steps to Tolenn's side, dealing Malder a severe blow with the flat of his blade. After listening to Gaius' threat, the man looks frightened.

Tolenn strikes the man as well, dealing a slash across his midsection. The man is severely wounded, but looks capable of fighting still.

Daud and Vuk move to 'Door Guard', both landing solid hits but not managing to drop the man.

Pyron attempts to join in on the fun, but doesn't manage to hit the man with his lazy swing.

Malder lets out a fearful yell, turning towards Gaius and swinging wildly at him. The inquisitor easily sidesteps the blow, however.

The 'Door Guard' looks around, wild-eyed. Seeing escape is cut off, he attempts to stab Tolenn. The Paladin, finally get her defenses set, let's the errant blow clatter off her armor, keeping her focus on Malder.

When I said Pyron shifted away, I was using a DnD 4e term. I meant he took a five-foot step away treats his original corner. Pyron then used the evil eye hex (-2 to attack rolls) on the Thug if he is still standing in the new round; otherwise, he will cast it on Malder if he is still standing. Then he will cackle to extend all evil eye hexes by one round. Therefore, whether whichever enemy that Pyron hexes with the second evil eye hex saves against that hex, that hex will still be around for two rounds, not just a single round.

Seeing that Gaius was pulling his punches in dealing with Malder, Tolenn strikes at the thug with the flat of her scimitar.

Between Daud and Vuk, a messy end seems to be the final fate for the 'door guard' of All The World's Meat. Tolenn and Gaius are somewhat more gentle, the two dealing non-lethal wounds to Malder, succeeding in dropping him unconscious to the floor. All in all, two deserters down, one dead, and minimal wounds to yourselves. A job well done.
