No, it's my fault; I've been sick since Saturday and have simply not had any energy to do much beyond staying in bed. I've been feeling a bit better today, and if that trend continues I'll hopefully be able to make some proper posts tomorrow. Sorry to keep you all waiting.

And definitely about time, too! "Tomorrow" almost became "next month", which was far from the plan. But, just when my illness was about to let go, my sister moved in with her 2-year-old son and her two cats, in preparation for moving from her old apartment to a new one. Which left precious little time for anything other than babysitting, cat-sitting (since her two cats and our two cats don't go well together at all), driving to and from apartments, and otherwise helping out with the process (which has taken a lot longer than expected).
I hope all of you have had a good summer so far, at least, and one that has been filled with summery things rather than being like mine :)

Just wanted to say that I would *LOVE* to finish this AP. This delay ain't a huge thing because I know it's hard to find time/motivation, DM Are, and I know that Yahirma has been up to his eyeballs for GenCon.
Yahirma: how'd it go from your new point of view as an employee rather than a lowly yahoo PFSer?
Just think how cool it would be to be able to point to the conclusion of this AP...it done and over, a complete thing. It'd be nice to close it out.

Gen Con was really cool as an employee. I thought that I would be saddened by not GMing at least 8 of the 10 slots; I was signed up to GM nothing, being instead expected to manage the Paizo booth. Booth duty was great fun, strangely, as I got to park myself next to the table with Mythic Adventures and the Visions of War books and give one heck of a sales pitch. Some of the other Paizonians wondered about how I kept my voice after shouting for about eight hours straight, but it wasn't all that crazy compared to GMing for 15 hours straight.
(Yeah, a person really should get in some play time, too, but somehow I just got used to GMing madly at conventions)
Anywho, I'm back in business for continuing the drama for about a week before I briefly disappear for Dragon*Con in Atlanta. After that I'm hoping to have a more leisurely schedule.
I'm sorry to have kept everyone waiting once again. This is going to sound like a string of poor excuses, I think, but it's more like a series of bad circumstances with poor timing. I lost my internet connection due to a hardware issue, and it unfortunately didn't get fixed until after I went on a two-week holiday. When I returned, there was a personal issue that I needed to deal with, and I didn't want to restart this game until I knew I could commit to it fully.
Hopefully all of the issues that have caused delays on my end are over now, and I hope you can forgive me for them despite the fact that if I had been a player in the game instead of the GM, these past two months of next-to-no-posting could easily have been grounds for kicking me out.
I certainly want to bring all of you to the conclusion of the AP, if you'll still let me :)

Yes, sort of. To be honest, my motivation has been up-and-down lately, probably due to my lengthy absence during summer taking me out of the GM-ing mindset. Hopefully it will settle on the "up" as soon as possible. All of you certainly deserve that.

* One option is magic circle against evil, though I know that Maddok already has that one. I'm also intrigued by blood rage though that's one I'd rather take only if a few people would enjoy using it. There's certainly something amusing about learning communal share language, and prayer would provide a little bit more combat assistance than Yahirma otherwise wields. As always, there's something to be said for sacred bond, but I feel everyone but Yahirma already has enough endurance and/or defensive power not to need anything beyond the occasional bit of emergency healing.
** Breath of life is a fairly natural option, though I can potentially replicate this by use of my mnemonic vestments and a scroll. My hope is that I wouldn't have to use it often. Snake staff is certainly amusing, and jungle mind would be even more ridiculous.

Heh. Magic Circle wouldn't hurt. Maddok's spell slots are pretty limited.
Bloodrage would be cool...
Keep in mind that blood rage's STR-bonus will overlap with (rather than stack with) Maddok's rage (while the penalty to AC stacks). So if he's already raging, Maddok will have to take at least 15 damage before blood rage provides him with a benefit.
That isn't particularly unlikely to occur, of course :)
