Gareth Aldridge |

Assuming that nothing happens after all of our moves, Gareth will spend his turn moving to the chest in C10 and open it, if possible.
If something happens before my turn, let me know so I can reconsider if necessary.

DM CD |

Gareth runs to D9.
Martin runs to the huge head mounted on the far wall, and searches it for loot. Hidden inside its mouth is a small, weathered steel ring with the emblem of a tree embossed on it.
Jamros recovers the sheaf of arrows. Which he can't use - arrows are not interchangeable with crossbow bolts.
After Martin finds the ring, however, the wall - weakened by the fire burning outside - is unable to support the head any longer. The head falls free, tearing a large gap open in the wall and exposing the interior of the cabin to the inferno burning outside. The ring is thrown clear of the fallen head and rolls to a stop under the table in D6.
With a loud cracking noise, a burning tree falls on the south side of the cabin. Unable to hold up under the impact, the roof gives way and the burning trunk collapses into the cabin.
You have time to continue searching if you want to. I do suggest opening the chest in B10.

Gareth Aldridge |

Slighty revising my action
Gareth curses as the cabin catches on fire. "I'm serious! Someone untie the horses!"
He moves to B9 and opens the chest in B10, if this is possible, taking what he finds inside of it.

Eleri Warlow |

Seeing that her comrades are apparently continuing the fight, Eleri stands up and sees a wonderful opportunity to take cover behind the boulder. Stepping gingerly around the corpse in -E17, she moves to -D17 and peeks over the boulder, trying to see whatever is going on in Pygrado's area.

DM CD |

Wand charges: 1d30 + 15 ⇒ (25) + 15 = 40
Caladrius throws his rust cube, striking the captain's blade. This sort of check seems best resolved against CMD, but you hit either way, so no big deal. The blade seems to be holding its edge thus far.
Eleri sneaks over to the boulder, where she can just barely see Pygrado and the sorceress.
Losing her focus with Pygrado right in her face, the sorceress is unable to maintain her spells, and the illusory bushes vanish.
Angered by Caladrius's stunt with that rust cube, the captain agilely moves around him (successful tumble to -E19) and attempts to strike him down with his falchion, but misses.
After that round of really sucky rolls on my part, DM done!
Sorceress Sense Motive Check: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
Captain acrobatics check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Captain attack vs Caladrius: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

Jamros Milltell |

Jamros yells to Martin over the flame "Get tha' ring, if y' can! He glances back at the chests and shouts "And those chests!! Get to 'em! I'll fetch the horses!" Jamros then makes a withdraw action, moving at twice speed for two actions, ending at -A10 where the horses are tied up. Updated outside map? :) fire fire fire....:P

Gareth Aldridge |

I suspect that in that case Gareth will take a full round action to take the following items:
The jars of fluid
The packets of plant dyes
The camouflage kit
The wand
And leave the rest.
Waiting to see if Martin will go for the ring or not before I plan my escape.

Martin Stillwaters |

Martin, Looking aghast at the trophy head still in his hands, lets it drop into the fire.
"Ok I'll go for the horses."
Martin runs to the table picks up the ring and then begins running for the door.

DM CD |

Wrenching free, you turn and see the barghest you encountered earlier. It towers over you, an appearance made all the more intimidating by its disheveled appearance. Its eyes are runny from the smoke, while its fur is singed and burned in some places and matted with blood, mud and other debris in others. It snarls at you, "You and your friends have robbed me of my minions and my domain! You shall die for this!"
Gareth retrieves some gear from the chest and stashes it about his person, while Martin dashes after the ring and recovers it in E6 (ending your turn here - you can make your way out on your next turn).
Gwyllgi damage vs Jamros: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Trip attempt: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13

Caladrius |

Caladrius luckily dodges yet another one of the enemy solder's swings and rightly decides that his luck in that regard is likely to run out soon. He spits his trademark lightning directly into the Goldcrest soldier's hopefully increasingly frustrated face.
Breath Weapon:1d6 ⇒ 6 Electricity (DC 18 half)
Oh wow, Caladrius is really taking care of business this round.

Pygrado |

Jamros Milltell |

** spoiler omitted **
Since it only takes a move action to get Martin out of the cabin, he should really get to have the rest of his turn, right? Please?!
damage: 3d4 ⇒ (2, 1, 1) = 4
if failed save, 1 dmg for 1d4 ⇒ 4 turns.
hp:16/20
lvl 1 spells: 2/6

Caladrius |

DM CD |

Martin and Gareth, as you exit the cabin, the first thing you see is that the forest fire has arrived and is rapidly consuming the surrounding forest. The second thing you see is Jamros being brutalized by a large creature that looks like some combination of goblin and wolf. Gareth, it appears to be the same creature you treated with earlier.
Gareth, you would have needed to use a double move action to get here. Martin, you have a standard action left. Let me know what you two want to do.

Gareth Aldridge |

askfjaklsdjawoijawef
As part of my double move action, I can draw a weapon, correct? Or are we assuming that I cannot because I wasn't aware there was danger?
In either case, free action.
"Jamros! What did you do with those arrows?"

Pygrado |

Drag CMB vs CMD: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Sleight of hand to maintain flat-footedness on the draw, if you would like: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Now, what I'd like to do is kneel down and put the knife against her throat. In my mind, this would be readying an action to coup-de-grace. But there's about a million problems with this possibility.
- Readying an action is a standard action, all I have left is a move action.
- Coup-de-grace is a full-round action, and you can only ready a standard or move action.
- Technically you can't coup-de-grace someone who's not helpless. I could potentially get sneak attack damage, but then that means only a rogue could convincingly hold a knife to someone's throat. But then, rules abstractions...
I'm willing to go with whatever mechanics you think best for this (or could modify my action to better fit RAW options), but here's my suggestion:
I spend my move action moving into her square, since she's prone and "positioning" myself such that any non-free action she tries to make provokes an opportunity attack that grants sneak attack damage.
Anyway, then I shout to the other one: You there. Drop your sword or this one dies! Intimidate 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

DM CD |

Waiting on Eleri before updating Vista Group. Pygrado, your suggested ruling is appropriate, but you are no longer in a grapple.
The barghest catches the blast of flame full-on, and is set alight by it.
Martin and Gareth emerge from the cabin, swords drawn.
The barghest senses activity behind it, and turns to face the newcomers, whereupon it sees Gareth, the negotiator who insulted it earlier. Snarling, it lunges at him, striking him with both claws (2 hits: 8 damage from the first and 5 from the second).
Barghest claw 1 vs Gareth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
Claw 1 damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Barghest claw 2 vs Gareth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Claw 2 damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Martin Stillwaters |

Assuming nothing drastic happens on Gareth's turn
Martin 5ft steps to D14, brandishing his sword as he does so.
"Man this thing is as mean as it is ugly"
Full round atk:
Longsword
atk:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18 dmg:1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
shield
atk: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 dmg:1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Shield Bash: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Gareth Aldridge |

11/24 HP
"What happened to the 1 hour before hunting us, kiddo? If I didn't know any better, I'd think you'd be angry that we destroyed your kingdom!"
Gareth lays hands on himself, takes a swing, then moves away from the beast to -B 15
Lay on hands on self: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 1) + 3 = 10

Eleri Warlow |

Once again, Eleri finds herself with nothing but air between her and a heavily armed enemy.
"Well.. am I not destroying my enemies when I make friends of them? Selected Friendship."
Friendship, Will Save DC 16 negates. Target treats caster as trusted ally, will defend caster and not attack caster's allies. Effect ends if target takes damage from caster or caster's allies. Duration: 10 minutes per level.
If the spell seems to work, Eleri will remain where she is, trying to take cover against any unseen archers. If it doesn't, she'll move to B15.

Jamros Milltell |

Jamros, relieved that the beast has turned from him, fires his crossbow at the beast.
attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Jamros reloads.

DM CD |

Martin steps up to the Barghest, swinging sword and shield. The sword swing connects, opening a gash on the Barghest's front leg. The shield swing is easily evaded by the creature, however.
Jamros, relieved that the beast is no longer focused on him, tries to shoot it with his crossbow, but instead hits a burning tree branch some way off.
Angered by the man with the sword, the Barghest sidles closer to the house, and attempts to tear Martin to shreds. It bites him deeply on the arm (critical confirmed: 15 damage) and slashes his torso with one claw (8 damage), but the other claw attack is far off target (fumble not confirmed).
The barghest is still on fire.
"You had your time to run. It is now your time to die!" It says, grinning horribly.
DM Done! You still up, Martin?
Barghest damage vs Gareth: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Barghest bite vs Martin: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
Critical confirmation roll: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
Critical Effect Roll: 1d52 ⇒ 23 "Javelin Catcher:" x2 damage
Bite damage (including critical): 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (2, 5) + 8 = 15
Barghest Claw 1 vs Martin: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Claw 1 damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Barghest Claw 2 vs Martin: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
Fumble confirmation roll: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Caladrius breathes lighting at the captain, catching him full in the chest. The rust continues to eat away at his sword, and while it definitely looks pocked and weathered it retains its edge.
Eleri intones a word with odd harmonics that makes the captain blink oddly and look around for a moment before clearing his head and resuming his attack.
Pygrado, your readied action triggers, and you may make an attack of opportunity vs the sorceress.
Bereft of her wand, the sorceress tries to cast a spell at Pygrado, but it fizzles out, distracted as she is by having been knocked prone and with a knife at her throat.
The captain shouts out "We know the risks! There will be no surrender!" With that, he takes another two-handed swing at Caladrius, opening a long gash on his leg (12 damage).
DM Done! That spell was a great idea, Eleri. It's just a pity he rolled well. Pygrado, good idea, but you missed the DC and he can't see the peril his ally is in - so no circumstance bonus.
Captain Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
50% Arcane spell failure chance: 1d100 ⇒ 44
Captain power attack vs Caladrius: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Damage vs Caladrius: 2d4 + 8 ⇒ (1, 3) + 8 = 12

Caladrius |

Acrobatics Away:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22 to -D24
Breath Weapon:1d6 ⇒ 3 Electricity (DC 18)
Damage to Sword:1d6 ⇒ 6 -> Assuming it is a +1 sword that should be enough to make it broken and turn off the magic at least.

Pygrado |

When the girl struggles, Pygrado sighs and slits her throat with a few quick slashes.
Readied attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Readied attack damage 1d4 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + (4) + 1 = 8
Opportunity attack1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Opportunity attack damage 1d4 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + (1) + 1 = 5
Opportunity attack critical confirmation 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Critical card roll 1d52 ⇒ 7
Dagger is a piercing or slashing weapon, and while I described the action as a slash, that card result makes no sense and the piercing one makes a great deal of sense, so barring GM rejection I'm going to edit the above statement and go with:
When the girl struggles, Pygrado sighs and slits her throat, then reverses his grip and plunges the blade back into her chest.
Critical damage: 5 that does not heal naturally and 1d2 ⇒ 2con.
Before I take my action for the round, is she up, disabled, dying, or dead?

Gareth Aldridge |

NOOOOO JOHNNY
Gareth yells to Jamros, "Toss me those arrows. Now!"
He runs to -C11, drawing his bow.
So here's the tricky part. Can I delay the rest of my action to see if Jamros will lead me with the throw so that I can catch the arrows, then shoot one at the barghest? Or is that a little too much? If it's too much, I will just shoot the barghest normally.
In either case, here are the rolls.
Attack1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Damage1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Pygrado |

Jamros Milltell |

"'ere!" Jamros yells as he tosses the arrows to Gareth:
Ranged touch attack as described above: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Oh, I sure hope that is fair, cause if it isn't we're in trouble! If tossing the arrows is a standard action, then after he throws them, he follows his throw to -A11. If it is a move action, then...
Jamros then levels his crosbow once again at the beast, praying for a hit:
to hit:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
damage:1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
