The aforementioned divination and prognostication to find out "Will Melodie and Zhi's child be born without complications or health issues?" and the appropriate variants and follow-ups of that. Divination is the early-warning system because if it works it will tell me that something is wrong this week and we should take immediate steps. Prognostication is the long-term version that will tell me something about whether the child will be successfully born, whether it will have any life-threatening health issues, etc. Or cryptic hints about it not being what we expect.
Detect life miiight let me make sure that the baby is still alive and kicking and that it's not unexpected twins (or more...), depending on whether you interpret the baby as being a separate life from the mother's, or when in the pregnancy that occurs, or if it only counts as a separate entity once it's born. (I am emphatically not opening the can of worms about "life begins at..." so just... whatever you decide.)
I think there's also a spell that will enumerate how many things are in a container, which might alternatively work, but I can't remember it off the top of my head.

Hey all sorry for disappearing, the wife and i are house/horsesitting for my MIL and we have been WAY busier than I was expecting. I'll try to get a post out tonight but if i can't i'll do so in the morning.
I thought about this post for a while before sitting down to write it, but decided that I needed to do it.
I want to apologize to Sara/Lobster regarding the way the interaction between the group and the Crowntop Coup went. My intent was simply to move the story forward and complete the next objective on the list. It was not to step on toes or hog the spotlight. However, someone much wiser than me pointed out that I was being ignorant of how other people might feel.
This was a perfect place for Sara to shine and I jumped right in front of her. I'm sorry for that. :(
I'll try to be more considerate in the future. Along those lines, if I'm doing stupid stuff like that in the future, feel free to call me on it.
Sara may still conclude her interactions with the birds in the manner of her choosing before we move on.

Same here. I just can't think of what Maria could do to contribute and I'm also getting somewhat burnt out on Pathfinder as a whole. It's the only RPG I've been able to properly play for what must be more than a decade by now. I'll press on with this game and the two other campaigns I'm in, but I'm certainly not gonna be looking for any new ones. It may just be a while before my writing picks up in quality again.

Well, looks like the Inspiration was well-spent there on the Reflex Save. Wonder if I should spend a bit more on the attack roll. Bit reluctant to do so since I don't want to spend a quarter of my daily Inspiration points all in the one turn.

I do love me some Dark Sun. Once upon a time, I had grand ambitions to convert several of the 2nd Ed modules to Pathfinder and run a game. Alas, I no longer have that sort of free time.
I played a short-lasting DS game on the forums that was terrrrible - I played a water cleric who couldn’t create water because the DM thought that it made things too easy.
If yer character is built to use a first-level spell to solve resource problems and the DM won’t allow it, but is fine with a half-giant smash monster to solve the problem “combat,” you have some serious inequities.
Anyway I’m currently trying to get the license from WotC to do the 5th edition version of DARK SUN, we’ll see if it pans out.
Melodie's turn in the initiative isn't up yet but I will factor her action in after the enemies go. Still need actions from Sara and Zileska.
