Defeating Pythareus is a triumph, and your relics have increased in power:
Scion's Dagger: Scion’s Dagger is a +4 ghost touch mithral dagger. Once per day as a swift action, the wielder can gain DR 1/— and fast healing 3 for 1 minute.
Band of the Crusader's Alliance: Each element can be activated one additional time each day to use a different spell: the Taldan flag for mass suggestion, the eye of Aroden for disrupting weapon, and the onyx for transmute rock to mud.

"Mel! Put that wand away, Now!

Have to relate this ...
In a book I just finished, one of the principle characters (a married lesbian) was informing her business partner that she was going to have to reduce her workload because her wife was now pregnant.
He looks at her, and, with complete seriousness, asks, "Was this planned?"

From a merely RP perspective, I seriously considered taking create mindscape as her 5th level spell.
"Welcome to my world, Love."

How far along is Zhi in her pregnancy? If she's not TOO far along, I personally would like at least a month of downtime, see Sara's gfs and write some intrigue I've been meaning to set up but we haven't had the downtime to do so. Maybe commission some magic items.
Also, I'd like to claim Pythareus' belt. It means I have one less AC because no DEX boost and I no longer benefit from Bull's STR, but it also means higher HP, more damage and to hit and higher Intimidate via Intimidating Prowess.
Fighter Level 11!
HP: 1d10 ⇒ 8+3 or +4 depending on the belt
No saves increase, +1 to BAB, taking Skill Focus: Intimidate, +1 to Bluff, Dip, Intimidate, and UMD cause why not, +1 to Handle Animal and Linguistics, taking Sign Language: Common for the language.
Class features: I get this thing I will never use called Craven Combatant that acts as Evasion if I use total defense or Combat Expertise.
With Skill Focus: Intimidate, the new belt and flexing into Intimidating Prowess, Sara's Dip and Intimidate are now equal at 43 (for a minute at a time, 4 times a day, otherwise it is 37 which is plenty)

Mesmerist: 13th
+0 BAB/Saves
Mainfold Tricks (4)

2 Background Skill Points:

Spells:

5 - Feeblemind, Shadow Walk

Very unexciting level for Mel - 5th level spells for Mesmerists are seriously underwhelming...

d'Valois Mai Zhi |

Her due date is calculated from the 11th of Rova, so, yeah, about two months. She's just starting to notice her belly getting a little rounder. As small as she is, she's gonna look like she's carrying a basketball under her tunic.
Depending on total funds, Zhi wouldn't mind a month either. She's trying to work out a way to afford a belt of +4 Con/+4 Dex. Having it crafted would be easier/cheaper.
And if someone mentions that she might need to put a couple more holes in that belt, they'll get a very ugly glare.

Melodie d'Valois |

The treasure vault contains 699 pp, 13,812 gp, and 45,827 sp. A small, iron case contains a dozen parchments with various legal documents, letters, and historical records.
The figurines made of silver and gold are worth a total of 800 gp. On the table, there is also a silver raven figurine of wondrous power.
Pythareus Loot: +1 mithral breastplate barding, horseshoes of a zephyr, potion of cure serious wounds, potion of feather fall, potions of heroism (2), Ovetrian’s Plate*, +2 heavy steel shield, +1 composite longbow (+4 Str), +1 lance, +2 battleaxe, amulet of natural armor +2, belt of physical might +4 (Str, Con), cloak of resistance +4, headband of inspired wisdom +2, ring of protection +2, ring of sustenance.
First of all - who wants Ovetrian's Plate? Can anyone actually use it?
Sara wants the belt.
Maria took the raven.
Zhi needs the ring of sus! :D
Not sure Mel wants anything all in all. I'll do the maths at some point unless someone else does it first! :)
@Zhi - Bartelby can make it for you at crafting cost. :)

d'Valois Mai Zhi |

Sus helps with morning sickness and food cravings :P :D
I don't think a ring of sustenance would help with food cravings. If you've got a craving for something, it doesn't really matter whether you're hungry or not.
Or Mel can take it and be the one that sits up with the baby overnight? :)
*looks around for eavesdroppers*
That's what the sleep spell is for.
What?! That's not bad parenting; That's using everything in your arsenal. Trust me, I would have used it if I had had it. ;)
And what do you mean, 'what I have planned'?
She seems to remember threats that involved barking at the very least and well ... *shrug* She knows what her wife's capable of.

Sara Burke |

Keeping at no cost:
potion of cure serious wounds
Sale price magic items
+1 4 STR composite bow, 1400 gp
+1 lance, 1155 gp
+2 heavy steel shield 4160 gp
+2 battleaxe, 4155 gp
horseshoes of a zephyr 3000 gp
mithral breastplate barding 8400 gp? by my math
amulet of natural armor +2 4000 gp
belt of physical might +4 20000 gp
cloak of resistance +4 8000 gp
headband of inspired wisdom +2 2000 gp
ring of protection +2 4000 gp
ring of sustenance 1250 gp
silver raven 1900 gp
potion of feather fall 25 gp
potions of heroism (2) 750 gp
12839 each
treasure:
gold/silver figurines 800 gp
That's 5076.94 in pure coinage, 160 from the figurines, 12839 from the sale, for 18075.94 each.
I'm the only one that's overdrafted, so I owe the bank 2000 gp, which, eh, not happy about it, but w/e
If we wanted to just give everyone what they have already claimed, it's a net loss of nearly 6000 a head, most of which is my belt.

Melodie d'Valois |

I'll take the Am Nat Arm if no-one else wants it. Otherwise I'm happy to lend you money for the belt Sara. You can sell your current one as well which might reduce your debt to the bank?
@Zhi - the Raven's Collar has a market value of 20,000gp. :) And as for the rest... well that depends whether you really were making eyes at Zil or not. :P

Sara Burke |

I can afford it, I'm just grumpy I'm missing out on f$@#ing 18k. Maybe I'll just commission Bartleby to make one for me instead, it'd be more fiscally responsible

Maria Greyson |

Part of me wants to suggest Safina taking the lance and barding, but another part of me is remembering that she hasn't had a chance to do any mounted combat of any kind yet.
She's taking the horseshoes, though.

Zileska Vestalina |

Since we have downtime and a feat, I couuuuuuld take Craft Wondrous Item if we wanna start goin' crazy with expensive goodies.
Also I think Zhi's attitude toward Zil is that Zil has something Zhi wants but it is not what most people would suspect! Mel is secure in her position. :)

Sara Burke |

The experience of age?

d'Valois Mai Zhi |

So Zhi will take the cloak of resistance as part of her share. That will net her 10075.94 in coin.
A belt that gives +4 Con/+4 Dex will cost 20k to manufacture. She's already got the +4 Con belt that would cost 8k to create. So she should be able to have one of our friendly Magic Item workers do it for 12k, correct?
Selling her existing cloak for 2k should let her keep her current coin. Some of which will be spent on her current project. (see the gameplay thread coming up)
*looks at Bartleby with a jealous eye*

Sara Burke |

If possible, I'm going to have Bartleby improve my belt of perfection 2 into a +4 instead of switching to Pythareus' belt. Using my present belt as a template, it costs me 24000, which still costs 6000 after our castle storming windfall, but it's only 4000 more than getting Pythareus' belt new.
Can Bartleby make magic weaponry yet?
My shoes need upgrading.

Zileska Vestalina |

As for my level-up, since I was out camping all weekend...
Cleric 13
+6 hit points
Channeling improves, one 4th level spell, one 7th level spell
New feat: Divine Interference
Skills: +1 rank each of: Bluff, Diplomacy, Heal, Knowledge (religion), Spellcraft; Escape Artist, Profession (courtesan)

Sara Burke |

I recognize his presence as a boon but I do hate the man in and out of character. I love him for his feats. I'm a feat fetishist.
With him getting Craft Arms and Armor, idk if I can, but I'd love to get him to upgrade my shoes from the +1 all the way up to +5. That's another 24000, which I don't have all of; I'd need a small loan of 10,000 to cover that.
Next up is combining handwraps with her maneuver gloves, or a fisticuffs amulet. Might get her a Monk's Robe, idk

Maria Greyson |

So do you think Safina should take the lance and barding or leave it? I can't decide and I don't know when we'll have a chance for mounted combat to really be a thing.

Zileska Vestalina |

Depends on the miracle. If you duplicate a lower-level spell or do something "within the same power level" it has no cost but it is subject to fitting the parameters of your divine patron (and granting your inner desires is very fitting for Calistria). If it's more powerful than that, it costs 25k.
Reshaping your body permanently but effectively cosmetically is probably not on par with the most powerful things that you can do with a wish or miracle.
Also I probably shouldn't ask for miracles too often. Wishes might be granted by outer beings or might be the use of the caster's own power, but a miracle explicitly is asking your goddess to change reality for you, and that's a big ask, even for a 17th level cleric.

d'Valois Mai Zhi |

So, then that leaves the question of; What would Zil charge for it? ;)
That question has certainly be running through Zhi's thoughts lately, with her imagination creating all sorts of worse-case scenarios. And whether she'd pay the price.
Her mind hasn't even come to the realization that she could do magic capable of that eventually. Or even now in the case of a scroll.
It's telling that she still just thinks of herself as a thief.

DM Brainiac |

I'll be out of town next week on a cruise with no Internet access. I'll be unable to post from 4/1-4/6, and likely not have time to get caught up until the following Monday, 4/8.
If there's any NPC interaction you would like to play out, the best time to do so would be between now and Friday. After that, feel free to go crazy with all the PC/PC roleplaying that you all excel at. You'll have plenty of downtime to play with until I return, at which point we'll formally begin Book 5 of the AP. :D
