Oh damn it i just remembered that undead can't be affected by things requiring a FORT save unless it also applies to objects. F~&~. Could the auto crit from CDG count as a confirmed crit for Outflank?

Sara has my favorite g%%!%~n build of any melee character I've ever played; takes off her shoe and slams it into the side of a shadow and it can't move or act for 7 rounds

Yeah going to Axis really threw a wrenxh in my plans, cause I was gonna have Sara spend this book learning magic from the person who sent her the letter (who I had a whole plotline in mind for even), but now I can't super justify her going one level of wizard in the storyline just for +5 to Diplomacy. Like sure she's interested but ain't no one taught her anything.
So I'm guessing she'll be taking another level of fighter?

She's gonna immediately sell that Orb of Law for the 30k and the bulk of that is gonna go to Bartleby to upgrade her +4 CHA headband to a +4 everything headband, skill points are gonna go into UMD and K. Arcana. The other 6k will go to pay back Maria from the end of the last book, as will 4k of the rest of our loot.
Increase STR to 24 which does a lot for a lot of things, my combat feat'll be Shinigami Manipulation to turn my light improvised weapons to 3d8s and my two handers to 5d8 I think?
Skills: Dip, Intimidate, Perception and Sense Motive. Sleight of Hand and Handle Animal, as always.
Fort and BAB up by one, extra iterative attack, a couple of my weird cad stuff goes up by one.
Also unless she destroyed it, Sara's going to keep the Stabbing Beast's scorpion tail as a trophy and a weapon.
Lastly, Zileska, I'm guessing the misdemeanor date between Zil and Sara already happened then?. Does that work for you? I can hop on starting it back up in backposting if so
This AP was designed with more lawfully inclined characters in mind (Hell's Rebels being more for chaotic characters). As such, the extended detour to Axis was admittedly not the best fit for this group. Hopefully it wasn't too disagreeable for you, the players, at least. We now return to your regularly scheduled Taldan AP.
You can keep the scorpion tail.

I didn't dislike it. I thought it actually brought a nice contrast to some of the more free spirited(?) characters - Zhi and Zileska in particular.
At least in a 'Gods, how can anyone live like this?' kinda way. :)
And it makes it mean that much more when they get to return to their home city with its dirty streets and crime.
Oops, made a mistake earlier. Eutropia's death is not yet public knowledge. Only you and the people in the palace know that she is dead.

Oh I the player loved Axis and thought it was a surprising and amusing diversion. Sara the character hated it; so much that she might even shift over to CN after being exposed to the bureaucracy. I'd love to play this AP as a hardcore worshiper of Norgorber, either as the assassin or as the Reaper of Reputation, it'd be great for this AP.

I found out today for the first time that clerics and shamans and other prepared divine casters don't hafta prep all their spells all at once. Way more versatility than I had thought previously.

Yep, I just found that out a couple of weeks ago. I was like ... 'No Way!'. It drastically changed the nature of those classes in my mind.

Yeah, leave some slots open and take 15 mins to fill them. Works well when you have somewhere to retreat to, but I used to do it with a couple of prepped and we kept getting jumped/wandering into combats so all I had was an empty spell-slot...
Sometimes just filling it so you can burn it with a spontaneous cure is the better choice.
I assume Zileska will have to rest to prepare raise dead, so you can talk to Taldogis in the morning, asssuming you got a scroll of speak with animals. :)

Tongues can but that one cannot.
