"Demons! We need silver or blessed weapons, or they won't feel pain!"

I uh, I'm out of Magic Weapon-scrolls, here. o_o; About all I can do is burn those two Summon Monster II-scrolls and conjure something good-aligned to use smite attacks on the demons. What's our strategy?

Crap; was excited to use my judgment but it's not strong enough to do alignment or cold iron... The ear-piercing scream should work on the dretches; that might be our best bet. Calla can go in that direction too. Summons could certainly work too.

Bruendor's eyes widen as the two dretches launch themselves towards the group. There was something familiar about the woman, but he couldn't quite place her. Who she was wasn't important, though - she was allied with these things, otherwise they would have attacked her. And anyone that allies with demons wasn't anyone he wanted anything to do with.

"Don't have either of those," the dwarf called back to the goblin. "We'll have to improvise." He fired a shot at the woman, threw his crossbow away, and darted forwards, plugging the hole and giving Lefrik a lane to charge the demon before him.

As the dretches move in, protective wards and blessings surround the companions. Calla stepped forward and sent a deafening scream rocketing through the mind of the nearest dretch. Its vicious sneer turned into a look of dumb confusion as it tried to work out the pain in its mind. Lefrik's javelin failed to find its mark as the other dretch came rushing around the corner and barreled into him. The warrior's armor held against the scraping claws, and he shoved the creature back to give him room to get to his axe.

Bruendor's crossbow bolt shattered against the stone wall next to the worktable. The purple-skinned woman reacted with lithe quickness, flipping the table over and diving to cover behind it. A flash of metal showed her drawing her hand crossbow as she moved.

Bruendor rolled past the dretch in front of him, ducking under the slow swipe of claws, and came up behind the creature. It spun to face him and Lefrik's axe took it in the back. The creature screamed as the blade bit deeply, but as the barbarian withdrew the axe, the wound seemed smaller than it should have been.

Calla sent another ear-piercing scream at the dazed dretch, and was rewarded with the sight of it falling to the ground, bleeding from its ears. Behind her, Kelendra sent a shower of star explosions over teh purple-skinned woman, burning her slightly, but not doing significant damage. Anklebiter rushed forward, trying to get a clear opening to cast his spell.

Brundor continued his weaving, trying to stay at least a few inches ahead, below, or above the slashing claws as the dretch raked at him in fury. An added benefit of his gyrations is that the small quarrel fired from the woman's hand crossbow passed just inches above his head and snicked off the wall behind him.

"Like I can understand what you're saying, girl!" Calla shoots back. I assume it's not Infernal, which she would understand.

The Calistrian priestess gestures again, calling down another curse from her goddess on their foe.

Bruendor and Lefrik can each make an AoO as the woman stands up.

The woman snarled something at the goblin and rose. She accepted the blows from both dwarf and barbarian, lashing out at Lefrik with the bayonets on her hand crossbow.

Round 8:

Lefrik takes 2 damage, and needs to make me a DC13 Fort save or fall unconscious.

Here is the updated map

As he hears her shuffle about in the dark, Lefrik takes another shot, "The wench is standing up, possibly going to run for it...and does anyone understand the strange skittery tongue she's speaking?"

Same as last attempt with the non lethal Not sure if I can get a flanking bonus thanks to Bru or not.

Then he feels a bolt sink into his flesh near the neck...

"Oh hell... that's not goo..." There's a loud thud in the darkness as the drug spreads quickly throughout the barbarian's massive frame and he passes out.

"I understand her! She's ordering us to back off!" Anklebiter replies, cackling derisively as he comes hopping forward.

Undercommon:
"Prideful, purple prune! You're outnumbered and outclassed! Stand down, or we'll be eating purple stew for dinner!"

Then Lefrik falls, and the Goblin utters a teakettle shriek of rage.
"Calla, Kelendra, save him! Save him! Exhalatio ignis et venti!"

The Goblin inhales something from a baggie -- and suddenly exhales a gout of fire and wind.

Anklebiter moves to AD15 and casts Fire Sneeze over the table. The drow is standing upright now, so she should be a viable target, right?
2d6 ⇒ (6, 6) = 12 Fire damage, DC 15 Reflex save for half damage. If she fails the Reflex save, she has to make a DC 12 Fortitude save or be knocked prone.

Did you include Calla's attack above, DM? And nice damage, Anklebiter!

Also, did she reapply the poison? Or are there multiple bayonets on the crossbow, and all of them have, um, "purple lady sleep poison" on them?

"Lady, you're full of bad decisions," Bruendor quips as he connects with a solid blow from his mace.
