So, we've got:
Virgil Anvilsinger the Dwarf Alchemist
Grace Tannyth the Aasimar Sorceress
Morvius Eruthiel the Half-Elf Ranger
Mur Durer the Human Fighter
Darvan Moll the Human (Keleshite) Druid
Sahba the Allosaurus
Barham Topperbush the Halfling Summoner

I would suggest doing some spell comparison, consider anything you might want to purchase, and any questions you might have for the VC.

![]() |

Also, just a heads up, the 7th we are getting a Holiday Boon (unless someone lied). As soon as it's out, consider it issued to you. That means you can use it in game from that point on, and I will give you a signed sheet for it at the end.

![]() |

Ditto the dotting.
I'm tempted to take some gold and buy a scimitar (RP reasons, mostly - Keleshites seem to have an affinity for them) and do without my club/shillelagh. Opinions? Any spell requests?

Also, I just wanted to pimp the Wayfinder App
Its a dollar, but it helps a lot for PbPs on Paizo boards from tablets and cell phones.

Just a reminder everyone, you can only make Untrained Know checks for a DC of 10 or lower.

Ok, so under my DM Beckett avatar, you might notice the "Voice in the Void MAP or the Glass River Rescue MAP". Those are links to the current map for the appropriate game. I also posted it at the top of the page. We are not actually there yet, (I'll post in the game), feel free to take a look. The blacked out part will go away as you move, but it is an interactive map. Similar to a Paint program, you can actually alter the map and move your character around. Keep in mind though that once it's done, you can just not save it to move everything back. It saves instantly. Give it a try. Click on the thing you want to move once so you see the squares around it, then click and drag it. You do not need a Google Account, or to sign in. You just need the link.
Let me know A.) if you can access it, B.) if you have any trouble, and C.) if you need others to move your character or anything for you (later).
Once again, back to the honor system thing. You can peak at the whole map and no one would probably notice. I hope no one does, but hey, it's your fun.

![]() |

DM - I'll need a token for Sahba as well. You can use this image, unless there's one you'd prefer.

![]() |

I accidentally moved the map around, but hit undo a couple of times and it looks like it fixed it. I didn't see anything under the blacked out part, though. So I guess I have access with it, and if the map looks off, that's probably my fault. And I can select and move around my token, so no problems on my end.

![]() |

So for the map. I do a mix of posting from my PC and iPhone. On the phone I cannot move any images; unfortunately this is my primary form of posting as I am usually posting from work. So may need a little help from my friends :-).

It's all good. Once we start actually getting into the map it will be a bit easier, and you can also select the "View" menu and 100% or even 200% to zoom in.

Gotcha. For the most part, just to make things simple, I'm going to have you and your little dino buddy go on one turn, and will mostly leave it in your hands.

Nor worries.

Statue 2's gotta be close to death by now... even if it has a DR 5/-, we should've done 27 or so damage to it so far, unless my spells and Virgil's bombs (which have been very effective against the dinosaur!) are doing nothing to it, in which case we might want to get out of here. I have no idea where statue 1 is at, but everyone's been basically focusing on 2, and it looks like Kurvast has been taking care of 1 by himself pretty well, though half the party (all the big guys that stand between me and the bad big guys) is about to collapse and the statues are still up. I'm hoping that Kurvast will be able to stay up at least another round and have moved over to give what little support I can.

![]() |

Actually, most of the attacks have missed, but I made a mistake, and in the low tier there is only one, not two statues, so I have fixed it the best I can.

![]() |

... and Virgil's bombs (which have been very effective against the dinosaur!) ...
I really am sorry I forgot about the splash damage... It's my first time to use the bombs.

![]() |

Ok, about half way through, so I just wanted to ask everyones's opinions so far about how things are going. Sort of a constructive criticism.
I realize I messed up with the statues, but aside from that, what are thing you lied or did not like? How can I improve? Do you like the method of using maps? Do you like how I am including spoilers, or in minor ways trying to include some backstory and Easter eggs? Have you had experience with other games that did something better? Things like that. Once the game is over, I'll ask again, all because I want to improve. I first began doing this basically from scratch while I was deployed, and have basically learned as I went, and it's been a while since I had a completely new group of players. I'm not going to take anything personally, just looking for advice, suggestions, and ways to improve. :)

![]() |

I'm enjoying it. I don't know what's part of the scenario and what you're adding, though. I like the spoilers so I don't have to wait to see what a successful check reveals, and I also like to know what my target numbers are, even if that's a bit meta. I'm able to resist the urge to look at spoilers that I can't or didn't make, so the whole concept works great for me.

![]() |

Well, an example of what I added was the "fog machine" at the start. It was a reference to Mists of Mawangi, where a magical mist sort of turned everyone into savages. I've also added a few individual spoilers, sort of visions, trying to set the mood, make it a little more personal to everyone, and hopefully set up things for later on to make a bit more sense, (like the black eyes, and odd auras when you detected magic). It's all flavor, no mechanics. The black tentacles are another thing, I'm trying to add them to partially explain why these creatures are here, because the reasoning in the scenario doesn't really come across as much on the player's side. Not until the end. Later on, they will be important, and I was hoping by including them early, it might help to sort of imply that when the time comes.
Also, I like sort of messing with people's heads. J/K You are all just crazy.

![]() |

I think it's going pretty well. The maps are good (though I'm used to that particular approach from playing in DM Rah's games), I think including appropriate information under spoilers is a reasonable way to keep things moving by eliminating one round of back-and-forth, and the other goodies seem to make sense. PFS scenarios are hard to customize much, but providing a little bit of continuity isn't unwelcome.

You guys are more than welcome to use my Mumble server for chit-chat. No one else is using it right now.
My fairly dormant PFO website (sign up and login for the link on the right)
I'm going to throw the same invite out to my other PbP group.

Cool. He is one of my players in my sort of main PbP group. Good guy. I think I might have gotten the idea for Spoilers for skill checks from him, not sure. We sort of learn a lot from each other's games.

** spoiler omitted **
Heh. <Spoiler> was why I didn't sign up for Night March (and I'll take it as a compliment, that the characters don't read like copies of each other).

![]() |

So, question. I was speaking to JC (Joe Caubo, not the other one ha ha), and he indicated that it might be okay to run another game after this one if we are done soon enough.
So, (and this is still a maybe), would anyone be interested in playing another game for the Gameday event? It would have to be the same players and the same characters, and would probably need to be an earlier scenario to be shorter. I was actually thinking the Penumbral Accords which is another Blakros Museum Scenario (and I think the next in the series).

![]() |

Sounds excellent! I am in!
Hope nobody is upset with my douche dirty fighter, still figuring out his identity. If I made anybody annoyed I full apology, he is just the extreme opposite of all my other characters and is fun...

![]() |

Personally, I don't mind it at all. I get a bit annoyed at folks (not all the time, but occasionally) that dump Charisma then RP the greatest orators ever born, so it's refreshing to have someone actually play their low Charisma.

![]() |

That can drive me up the wall, too. Morvius has 8 CHA as well, so I try to play him surly and not very talkative.
I've got 9 CHA, so I'm just rough, crude, and often put my foot in my mouth. ;)

Morvius dispatches the organic security alarm, then as you head down the hidden staircase, you notice a backpack lies in the central northern corner of the archives, dropped by Imrizade and forgotten in her eagerness. Half overgrown with mold, the backpack holds a collection of canopic jars, jeweled death masks, gilded ushabti, and other valuable Osiriani relics worth a good 500 gp easily. Also inside is a scrap of paper with the phrase “The Eye is always vigilant” written on it in common Taldan. Emptying the backpack, you notice a pair of scrolls, a sort of windchime, and a charm bracelet.
working on changing the map.
The stair deposits you in an alcove at the far end of an antechamber, free of the riotous growths of fungi and mold that choke the shaft and archives above. Not far, you notice a large hole in the ceiling of the chamber, the top filled by a thick of fungus.
The simple, clean lines of the basement’s basalt walls give way here to a disturbing, organic style of architecture that makes it seem like you are walking through the gullet of some monstrous behemoth. At the far end of the hall, a large, ornate arch that looks disconcertingly like the beast’s toothed maw stands in the wall, covered by a heavy black curtain with sickly green light from the chamber beyond shining around the edges. A plain iron box sits on the floor in the middle of the room. Attached to it, as if affixed by magic is a 2lbs square of stone.
[spoiler=Kurvast]

Don't worry about it! It wasn't your fault! I blame Beckett. I like to think he was giggling evilly when he put Grace down, and I also like to think that I made him sad when I stabilized, and that was why it took him so long to post again. I don't know what it is about him. We'll have to see how he tries to kill Grace again, or maybe the next scenario we run together on why he hates me so much.
Sort of.
But not really.
Well, kind of.
No, I really do! As far as you know, at least!

Kurvast is up for another scenario, Penumbral Accords you say?
PFS ID: #103589-4
He is rather dumb for a monk, and possesses no professional skills. I'm probably going to retrain a couple bits, but purchases will depend on the gold and PP award.

![]() |

Looking at 501 GP. Assuming you survive. I mean, most of you should be okay. Grace, . . .
Kidding.
maybe. . .
(On a more serious note, if you have an issue with sharing your PFS number or anything, feel free to PM me as well.)

And, that's it. Unless there is anything you would like to do. I'll start working on Chronicle Sheets.
I'd also like to hear feedback. Likes, dislikes, criticism. All the things I asked before. I'm not looking for flattery, just ways to improve gaming.

So some of the things I added where the black tentacles. Both on the party and also Some of the creatures. Imrizade did have the 5 that where both boring into her as well as holding her at the portal. But everything else I added in to try to give a reason for things. The portal was leaking planar stuff into the museum, but it never really gave any explanation for things and a lot of the monsters where just kind of there. The one you missed was an animated chimera trophy in that last room.
Was anyone not interested in playing another? Joseph Caubo said it was ok to run another for the Game Day Event, but it needs to be the same players and characters, and would need to be within the time frame. Did anyone have any requests?
