The Way of the Kirin MAP

On the eastern continent of Tian Xia, the Pathfinder Society remains a small player in the greater political landscape, but Amara Li, head of the Lantern Lodge in the teeming city of Goka, has plans to change that. In order to secure the Pathfinder Society's place as an influential organization on the far side of the world from the Grand Lodge in Absalom, she must orchestrate an alliance with the mysterious Way of the Kirin. But the longtime rival of the Pathfinder Society, the Aspis Consortium, has plans to form an alliance of its own, and if the consortium succeeds, the Pathfinder Society's hopes of cementing their place in the Dragon Empires could be dashed forever.

I ask for all of this, because I want to have all the info I will need for Reporting and Chronicle Sheets in one, easy to find place. So please post this, and then refrain from posting until everyone (minus Chris maybe) has also posted it here. After that, feel absolutely free to use this as a normal Discussion thread. :)

Finally, I wanted to reiterate some of the things from the other, now closed thread. In mid-April, I will be away for about a month, (and I do not expect to have internet). So, this game does need to be pretty fast paced. When I say that, I do not mean it will be rushed, but that we will need to try to keep it going, and will need everyone's help with that. Please try to post at least daily, (and I understand that weekends/holidays will be slower, and that real life comes first).

Also, please try to post things proactively, rather than reactively. Role-Playing between characters is absolutely encouraged. It will also help a lot, if you use a spell or an uncommon Feat or the like, if you can Link it in your post, (if able), and to post things like the DC.

One of the complaints from a past game was that some felt they couldn't Delay (I the Init order). I honestly do not recall that, (and it may have slipped my mind), but I am going to make an effort to try to correct that. Please point it or something similar out if I miss it.

Ok, so I bought a copy of Advanced Class Origins today. I picked up Fencing Grace to gain Dex to damage.

With my earlier games not reported and chronicles not officially applied, I decided NOT to use my 2-star replay credit. I DID take my recent chronicle for another game.

so the mammoth died in this scenario in which something happened and a random dice role decided who could kill what. We didnt know this and a rino charged us while i was on a mammoth. I made insanely high roles took over the mammoth and attacked back but because of special rules for that scenario the mammoth had to die.... Very sad day for Savage

What he forgot to mention is that the one player that could actually kill it refused to attack for like 4 rounds in a row. It was kind of a sad day for everyone. :) And honestly, I didn't want, what was supposed to be a random non-combat encounter to hurt or kill any other players. The idea was that during the scenario, everyone got kill a special trophy animal at random times. Someone just happened to roll a Rhino, and I though it was going to be cool to build that scene up a bit. Yah, didn't work out that way. I wasn't too worried about the mammoth, though, because the last "dungeon" was right after that, and it wouldn't be in the game after that anyway, but no one else knew that. Ah, live and learn.

Ok, guys/gals. Quick update before I update in the actual game. So, a few things have happened recently. But, before I get into it, let me say that the game is going to continue, and I think finish well in time.

One of our player had a major life event happen that was not their fault, but is going to affect him and his family. How much, still unsure. He will continue to play as able, but this is probably one of lesser things on his mind. So, please keep that in mind if Savage doesn't post.

Secondly, and unrelated, I've been being hit with a lot of extra work building up to me leaving for training. It was expected, I just didn't expect to be the only one doing it all, which has left me utterly exhausted many nights. Add in that my mother decides to show up without warning night before last, and other things, and it's just been a very busy time. That, combined with how odd this scenario is handled, is contributing to my slow than expected posting, but, like I have said, we are actually doing pretty well on time. It is just sort of a slow build into a pretty cool war that also culminates with the end of the (now retired) Lantern Lodge Faction.

On another note, in regards to the post I just made in the game, I seriously hate when PFS writers do this crap!!! They really need to learn to diversify skill options.

Nothing but crafts... huh. That's quite one-sided, makes it just a int check for most (who else has Craft: Carpentry except Jesus?)

I agree that offering basically nothing but int-based skills makes various characters feel useless (Rravn included). Author should have taken a look at The Pallid Plague for how to perform a skill challenge of this sort.

Sorry, Ive been dealing with real life issues too, or Id have just moved forward. I had relatives show up out of the blue to stay for a week and also been trying like crazy to do some online classes before the cut-off and its just been crazy. Should be done by today and we can start going again.

Time should still be good, though I feel bad as Im the one that said up front to try for daily posting and have not been able to keep to that myself.

Wow, I was looking from my phone and completely missed the spoiler. I saw the link to Color Spray (and thanks for that), but utterly missed the spoiler.

No, you really don't need to worry about it, though I'm going to assume that that's after combat, just in case anyone wants to take prisoners. I've removed that guy from Init and the map already, so basically unless something odd happens, they are effectively gone.

I feel obliged to mention since the building is burning that a summoned water elemental is essential in putting the fires out. All water elementals have the following ability:

Drench (Ex) The elemental's touch puts out nonmagical flames of Large size or smaller. The creature can dispel magical fire it touches as dispel magic (caster level equals elemental's HD).

Both Summon Nature's Ally II and Summon Monster II have Small Elemental on their list. I'm looking at you, Savage. ;)
