LOL!
No good guys at all? That's... unusual... and opens up so many possibilities! :)
My weekly group has never had anyone of good aligment. It was helarious when this Goblin cleric used "Protection from Good" and when the Dm realised no one was of a good alignment he realised it was like bringing a knife to a gun fight. He thinks it was good, but was clearly wrong.

Not quite true, Dakkon was chaotic good for some time.

Ahh didn't know that. This was sometime when Dakkon wasn't in the group though. Was still very funny that no was good and he used that protection spell.

I'm kinda' lost as to where everyone is in the fight.
I think the half-orc is on the floor above the basement, but which of 'team neutral' are with him? Did any or all of us get up the ladder? Is there another floor above that one now, that the kids are talking about? That would mean it's a two story building, with a basement (where we found Lamm), right? Are there any doors at all in the room the half-orc is in, or just the trapdoor (which would be... confusing, to say the least). Has any of this been covered in spoilers (since I'm trying not to read the ones which don't apply to me)?
Sorry for being slow here...

it's okey. The fishery floor you're on is lowered as shown in this map:
MAPThe main fishery floor is an entire level down and the place Gaedren was in he picked so that he was in the least amount of danger, however he knew nothing about the boat.
There are more kids in the building and they mentioned another man here too as well as Bloo (Whom from the barking you can assume to be a dog.

Tapestry |

So, based on the map: the walkway A12 leads under A8 (which is on stilts) and is how we got to A13 where we fought Lamm, and A14 is his room (with his strongbox and hatbox). The 'pool' is a cut-out section of the floor, leading directly to the sea (hence how the shark got in) rather than a seperate 'pool'. Kids are looking through a hole above the pool so are at... (and here's where I get a bit fuzzy) A4 maybe? But A8 is where we saw them working through the windows on our way to the ship, right? The ladder up must have led to A7, I think... so is that where Aventi's fighting the half-orc? The other blue bits are vats of fish parts and stuff, right? Or... did Aventi go up into A7 and move through into A8?

No, I had it as it leads up to A8 where all the kids and the half-orc, Giggles, is. They were looking through the small rectangle hole that overlooks the pool.
A8 was also the same area Aventi saw when making your way to the ship. A4 is the front door where the barking is coming from. You're effectively making a noise, as is the half-orc.

Well, done that. Everyone should be able to see my stat list now at least, although alot of reading :P
Well now that I'm able to read it, it's better than being unable to open them. Also I'd only scroll to the important parts whenever needed like AC Flat and Touch. Things like that.

Just to warn you guys I will be going on holiday to Wales on Monday and I'll be coming back Sunday. Just to tell you all so that you know ahead of schedual and not wonder where I've dissappeared to.

*Rolls Bluff check (I have it as a class skill being a student...)*
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Ahem... What Aron forgot to mention is that Curnach is now leading the group's agenda, having gained 20 character levels due to divine intervention. First of all, we will restore balance to the city of Korvosa, and then we shall form a shadowy... shadow government... to rule from the, er.... shadows...

Any attempts to emotionally upset our wolly brethren will be frowned upon, unless proper courting and consent is given in advance by said sheep.

Please see the above post for our Druidic laws concerning sheep welfare.

Thats why they need firm Druidic laws to stop them ravaging the sheep.

I don't think the Christian community would enjoy that, then again my experience of Wales is that they're often a bit more laid back so it might not be any bother.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Hi all. Got myself a blackberry so just saying I'll be posting at times. Also, yes some of the older kids are interested in tapestry in that way, but you don't think they would know what to do given the chance.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Good job she's an excellent teacher! Unless one of team neutral want to join her in an instructive demonstration... ;)
(Okay, now that just reminds me of Monty's Python's Meaning of Life...)
I would certainly like to join in that demonstraition if I were there lol, then again that's probably the only reason I would have a interest in the deity of Calistra, not to mention I love getting vengence.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Forgot to mention I'm back btw so you guys can keep posting. Loving the RPing with trying to decide what dto do with the kids. Funnily enough the adventure path had them just running away, but I would think seeing these people kill a man who has made their life worse than it was on the streets would inspire them to follow you. Afterall, you're their saviours and there's also the whole "I wanna grow up to be just like my hero" sort of thing too.

Tapestry |

Ah... that explains a lot: being stuck with a bunch of NPCs to protect really limits character choice... well, as long as you're not playing an evil character that is... I guess we could always use them to detect traps ('Hey kid, just try that door handle would you?') - kinda' like the traditional D&D use for halflings... ;)

Okay boys and girls, sing with Uncle Krenn!
Put your left shank in,
Pull your left shank out,
Put your left shank in and you shake all about.
You do the kidney pokey and you turn yourself around.
That's what its all about!
Ring around the foe-zies,
Pocket full of kukris.
Stab 'em! Stab 'em!
They all fall down!

So.. I will be off this weekend to Italy to lovely Milano... (Wife is killing me and bugged to go there for last couple months so had to now give up) so I will not able to post until sunday late night / monday and most likely I will be heared again on monday.
Nevertheless, hopefully everyone will have fun during my absence :P You can guide my PC as you wish (of course assuming I am not dancing naked in front of ... hm.. others?)

Aventi, you shouldn't feel bad about leading the way in the thread if you happen to have a window of free time. From what I've seen in successful PbPs, the lead kind of rotates as different players have more or less time available to them. It is one of the things that keeps momentum going, so feel free to post away! If anyone feels like things are moving too fast because of it, they can post in this thread and let everyone know.

I agree, it was more me not waiting for the others anyway. I've been trying to take the time in responses and letting everyone have their word first.

DM Aron Marczylo |

been speaking a bit to Alex about it, but I've been trying to come up with a different way to use Harrow points. The rules are rarther confusing so I'd perfer to reward you guys these points for like completeing a chapter, so for example you'll get another point having killed Lamm and his associates...in a rarther grousome manner.
Any input on this suggestion?

DM Aron Marczylo |

Assuming these are standard imps, they're tiny sized creatures with no reach, so we should all get an AoO every time they try to attack us in melee (before they get their attack as well). Being tiny sucks in melee. ;)
ahh I didn't know that, I assumed they would still occuby the 5ft space so it wouldn't matter...however I have never controlled anything tiny before.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Page 194 to 195 of the core rulebook if it helps. They can't flank either. (All this is the main reason Tiny & smaller creatures have such low CRs).
ahhh I see. Well as I said never handled anything small before.
(can't believe the ammount of Innuendo in that sentence whenever I type that.)

Tapestry |

So our druid and the DM hang in Real Life? That explains an awful lot (like how Curnach seems to know more about what's going on than the rest of us)! ::Smacks self upside head::, Duh - should have realised! I thought I was just being slow and missing stuff... ;)

DM Aron Marczylo |

actually I've been very good in not telling him anything, but he had looked at the AP a bit some time ago when he was thinking about running it as he DMs. So some of the early stuff he knows about, however I'm adding a few off AP quests too, to spice it up a bit.
